We sculpt a crocodile from plasticine
Children are very fond of sculpting different animals from plasticine. It can be not only dogs and cats, but also other interesting characters. You should find out how you can mold a crocodile from plasticine.
Classic version
If the child does not yet have rich experience in working with plasticine, it is advisable to start modeling with classical schemes. For example, a simple crocodile can turn out to be very cute and funny, for the manufacture of which a plastic mass of a dark green or blue-green hue should be prepared. You will also need to prepare a stack and a sculpting board. When all the necessary components are ready, you can start working. We will analyze step by step how to sculpt a crocodile according to the classical scheme.
First, you need to knead the clay well in your hands. If the set does not have a suitable color, you can mix several other colors to get the desired one. The softened plasticine mass should be divided into several portions. The young master will need pieces to make the head, tail, torso, legs and scales. The piece from which the crocodile's torso will be made should be rolled into an oval blank. On the one hand, the body needs to be made more elongated with a smooth transition into a narrowed tail. The closer to the tip, the narrower it should be.
Similarly, you will need to make a flattened crocodile head.... The nose of this component should be made slightly elongated. After that, the head can be attached to the prepared crocodile body. Next, you should make a wide mouth of a toothy plasticine predator.
The most convenient way to make such a part is using a small spatula or a stack of wood or plastic.
It is necessary to blind the eyes for the crocodile. To do this, you need to stick large white cakes on the face, and fix smaller black ones on top of them. Next, you need to attach small scales in a row along the back of the crocodile. It is worth trying to imitate the rough skin of a reptile.
You can add a few more rows of small scales, moving along the body of the figure from the very head to the tip of the tail. You will need to mold 4 legs from the plasticine residues. After that, they are attached to the sides of the crocodile's torso. This completes the process of making a figurine according to the classical scheme.
How to make crocodile Gena?
From plasticine, you can mold the famous cartoon hero - the crocodile Gena. A cute and kind character is quite simple to do. The child will certainly be very interested in making this famous hero. It is necessary to prepare all the main details of such a plasticine craft.
- First you need to blind head... This part must have a cylindrical shape. The ends should be rounded. One of them needs to be slightly bent.
- The flattened plasticine balls will serve as the upper paws Genes.
- The two cylinder-shaped parts need to be made pointed at the ends. These components will be used as the lower legs of the crocodile.
- You should take another piece of green plasticine. It is rolled out, and then given a teardrop shape. This component will tail character.
- The hero of the famous cartoon is dressed up in coat, therefore, the plasticine figurine must be supplemented with the same component. From the red plasticine mass, you need to make a cone-shaped part with a small depression in the lower part. This is to secure the legs and tail. You will need to put a piece of white on top, and then smooth it out.
From the pair of remaining plasticine cones, it will be possible to prepare sleeves.
Some additional details will be needed.
- A pair of white plasticine strips. They will be used as cuffs.
- For a red coat, a collar of the same color should be made.
- We need to prepare details for Gena's eyes and lips.
To make a crocodile's face, you will need other elements.
- A horizontal cut must be made on an elongated part. It will fall.
- All prepared components must be combined into a single composition. Absolutely all lines and joints should be carefully smoothed out to make the craft more aesthetic and neat. When all the components are in place, the work can be considered successfully completed.
Sculpting with a cone
The coolest and most original crafts are obtained when plasticine is combined with various natural materials. Children tend to find it much more interesting to work with such components. The finished characters are funny and expressive.
So, a very interesting crocodile can be made from plasticine and cones. To make such a character, you will need to prepare the following ingredients:
- a set of high-quality plasticine;
- spruce cone;
- a plastic or wooden stack (usually this tool does not have to be purchased separately, since it comes with the plasticine bars themselves).
Let's consider step by step how to act correctly. First, a ball must be fashioned from green plasticine mass. You will need to carefully form the head and mouth of the future crocodile from the ball. To do this, pull out the existing workpiece. The result should be a detail that resembles a small, uneven pear. It makes sense at the first stages to correlate the sizes of the natural component and the head of the reptile.
Next, you need to prepare a spruce cone. Natural material should not be used immediately after being found outdoors. The cone must be thoroughly cleaned of dirt and dust. Natural material must be dry and clean.The finished crocodile head must be attached to the spruce cone. The last element will act as the body of the plasticine reptile.
Next, you need to use a plastic or wooden stack. Using this tool, you need to carefully make a cut on the crocodile's face. Thus, it will turn out to designate the mouth of the plasticine predator. From small pieces of white plasticine mass, you need to mold teeth for a crocodile. White blanks should then be glued to the mouth.
Do not forget about the eyes of the crocodile. On the sides of the head, you will need to attach white round cakes. These ingredients will act as a base for the eyes. Smaller black circles should be glued to the white bases, which should also be flattened a little. These will be the pupils.
The next step is to make 4 balls of green plasticine mass. The specified blanks must have the same dimensions. From the rolled green balls, you need to mold the legs of a crocodile.
To do this, the details need to be shaped like sausages. Such blanks will need to be carefully bent. The finished legs can be attached to the crocodile's body. These components should be fixed on the sides of the cone, to which the head is already attached.
Next, a long sausage must be rolled out of green plasticine. It should be slightly longer than the pine cone. The part must be flattened slightly in length. Thus, it will turn out to make a blank of the "prickly back" of the plasticine reptile.
Then the young master will again need to take up the stack. With this tool, you will need to cut the teeth on the workpiece. The finished part is fixed on the "back" of the cone. You will need to attach a green tail to the back of the body. It should be made in the form of a sausage with a tapered tip.
The finished craft will turn out to be unusual and very attractive. The child will definitely be interested in making it.
