The beauty of swans has been legendary since ancient times. These proud birds are made from different materials: porcelain, stone, marble, plaster. If we are talking about working at home, especially with children, then it is quite possible to sculpt a beautiful figurine of a swan from plasticine.

Classic version

One of the ways a child develops is creativity from an early age. Plasticine is a wonderful material, so beloved by kids... Bright and malleable, it gives the opportunity to make any object out of it, and then remake it and get something completely different. Children are always delighted with this material. Now there are so many variations of this amazing composition that the possibilities of sculpting from it are amazingly diverse. This activity can become one of the favorite activities of the child.

Young children love the sculpting process itself, the tactile sensations and the joy of the results. Working with parents makes the event even more fun.

And if mom or dad tells a fairy tale about a swan or the life of these large and beautiful birds, shows a film, a photo in nature, then this will significantly expand the horizons of the child.

For work you will need:

  • plasticine: white (basic), a little red and black;
  • a mat for working with plasticine;
  • stack (knife for cutting plasticine).

Consider how to properly blind a swan with your own hands step by step:

  1. first mold torso: white plasticine is rolled into a ball and given an oval shape;
  2. using the stack to draw patternresembling feathers;
  3. for neck make a smaller white ball, then roll it into a "sausage";
  4. the resulting workpiece is given a curved shape, like a swan's neck, then a thickening is made on one side - head;
  5. from a small piece of red plasticine you need to roll a ball and pull it out in a shape beakthen attach to the head;
  6. make indentations with a toothpick -eyes and insert tiny balls of black plasticine there;
  7. now you can connect the neck to the body;
  8. wings to do it is quite simple: you need to roll out a thick white cake, give it the shape of wings with your fingers, slightly thickening at the base, and draw a pattern-feathers with a stack;
  9. after that it will remain connect the wings with the already finished body.

The beautiful swan is ready.

Modeling a bird on the lake

The swan is already beautiful in itself, but you can give the figurine more liveliness by letting it float on the pond. To do this, you need to follow the above instructions in stages, and then start making a pond for a swan.

For work, you will need all those materials that have already been used, as well as pink and green plasticine and an optical storage medium in the form of a DVD.

As you know, discs have shades, and since we are talking about the water surface, you should try to find a disc with a blue tint. This will be the perfect pond.

Stages of work:

  1. blind a swan;
  2. roll 2 balls of green plasticine, then make "sausages" out of them and roll them into oblong leaves of water lilies;
  3. roll up very small balls from pink plasticine, flatten them, collect in water lily sockets, attach to the leaves, and the leaves to the surface of the disc;
  4. plant a ready-made swan in the center.

A beautiful swan on the pond is ready, but the composition can be made much more interesting if you create another bird, only this time black.

It will be a wonderful three-dimensional painting with a couple of swans on a pond, made together with the children.

How to make with cones?

When working with buds, you will need paint. The bump will become the body of a swan, and the neck, wings and head are made of plasticine. Materials: plasticine, stack, rug, pine cone, brush and paints. Consider the step-by-step progress of work.

  1. The cone must be painted with a brush and watercolors, gouache or acrylic paints. You can paint it white, or you can make the swan absolutely fabulous: pink, blue.
  2. While the paint is drying, it is necessary sculpt the neck, head and wings.
  3. After the bump is ready, you need to collect all the parts into one structure.... The plasticine neck and wings will adhere well to the bump-body if their base is gently pressed into the gaps between the scales.
  4. The finished bird should be put on a CD, add water lilies... If desired, you can also add flowers and bushes.

The composition is ready, and a magnificent bird is swimming in front of admiring gazes on the mirror-like surface of the pond.
