Many children love to do various plasticine crafts with their own hands. This hobby allows you to perfectly train and develop fine motor skills of the hands. A variety of products can be made from such a soft material. Today we will talk about how you can make a figurine of a bat from plasticine.

What is required?

Before you start making this craft, you should prepare all the necessary devices and materials for this:

  • plasticine of black and white colors;
  • board for working with material;
  • stack.

Step-by-step sculpting instructions

Now we will look at how to mold a plasticine bat step by step. To begin with, you will need to take a black soft base. It is divided into several separate parts, which will be blanks for the body, legs, wings and head. In order to make the head, an ordinary small ball is rolled. Then it is sharpened to one end. At the crown, two horn-shaped ears should be made.

Later, the next blank is taken (to form the body of the mouse). It also needs to be stretched out and sharpened at the bottom. The head and torso are fastened to each other. After that, they start making the wings. To do this, you need to make thin cakes from the same black plasticine. Their tops are slightly rounded and smoothed well. It is better to make sharp protrusions in the lower part.

This work can be done with both fingers and a stack.

Two wings are glued to the sides. Smooth out the joints a little. Then it is worth forming the bat's face. It is recommended to use a stack for this. It is necessary to make a mouth and eyes with pupils from white plasticine mass. You can also make frowning eyebrows from a dark material.Paws are created from the remaining black plasticine.

It is divided into two equal parts, each of which is carefully pulled into small spatulas. Three fingers are cut out at their ends, they will need to be slightly bent. Both legs are glued to the lower torso of the mouse. At the end, if you wish, you can make an image of the skull on the chest, using white and black plasticine.

Consider another option for creating such a do-it-yourself plasticine craft. For this, the following materials should be prepared:

  • black paper;
  • cardboard;
  • glue;
  • scissors;
  • plasticine (it is better to take wax);
  • stack;
  • skewers;
  • scotch tape for paper.

First, you need to pick up a ready-made bat template. A base of black paper or cardboard is cut along it. After that, it will be necessary to glue a wooden skewer on the reverse side of the workpiece made. It is better to fix it with paper tape.

Next, you need to complete the eyes and teeth. They can also be made from colored paper or cardboard. They are also often made from plasticine of various colors. When they are ready, they are glued to the bat's face.

Later, a yellow plasticine mass is taken. Edges are created from it. For this, the material is twisted into thin flagella. These details are glued over the eyes. You also need to make the nose. In this case, it is better to take brown plasticine. A small piece is taken from it and a thin cake is made. The nostrils are cut out with a stack. In this form, the element is attached to the muzzle.

Bat wings can also be decorated with various patterns made from plasticine. Often, small flattened circles of yellow and pink colors are attached at the edges of both wings. You can also make a small bow from plasticine mass. You can make several similar products at once to get a whole interesting composition.

Useful Tips

There are several important rules to keep in mind when sculpting. It is better to work on a special board, because plasticine in its composition contains fatty elements that can leave traces on other objects and surfaces. Also, in the process of sculpting, you should use a stack. This device will allow you to carry out small items on the craft as accurately as possible.

When creating figurines, it is best to use wax clay. This material is particularly soft, while it is absolutely safe for humans, since it contains no harmful components. In addition, it will not require thorough kneading before making the craft.

But it should be remembered that such a base is afraid of warm air and the sun, therefore, products made from it will be less durable than samples from ordinary plasticine.
