We sculpt a scorpion from plasticine
Plasticine modeling is a useful and exciting activity for children. From such a plastic and bright material, you can create a variety of beautiful crafts. Often, figures in the form of animals are formed from it. Today we will talk about how you can make your own product in the form of a scorpion.
Tools and materials
In order to sculpt a plasticine craft with your own hands, the following materials will come in handy:
- plasticine (brown, orange or dark brown, black);
- matches;
- brush;
- stack.
Step-by-step instruction
Next, we will consider how to gradually blind this craft with our own hands. To create a figurine, you should use more than one color of the mass, but several at the same time in order to get neat smooth color transitions that will allow you to make the most realistic external design.
Prepared plasticine bars are carefully crumpled in hands so that the material becomes soft. After that, you can start shaping the tail of the scorpion. To do this, three balls of different sizes are rolled from black plasticine. Also make one large brown ball and 2 small dark brown ones. Then they are tightly connected into one piece. A black drop-shaped sting is attached to its end.
When the tail is ready, you can start making the torso. For this, dark brown plasticine is taken, a slightly flattened workpiece is made from it, which is attached to the tail. In order for the parts to be more tightly and firmly connected to each other, fastenings can be made using matches or toothpicks.
A small head made of black mass is attached to the anterior section of the body. It should be flattened a little.A small depression is formed in its central part with a brush.
Later you will need to take a brown material, 3 pairs of limbs are made from it. Before attaching them to the body, a small depression is created on each leg using a brush. Only then are the details fixed.
Elements in the form of a drop are glued to the ends of the limbs, they should be made of darker plasticine. It is better to smooth out all joints immediately with your fingers or with a special device. At the end, mold the front legs and claws. In this case, you need to roll two balls of each color. In addition, large and flat teardrop-shaped blanks are made. The sharp end of the resulting blanks is slightly cut with a knife.
Three blanks are connected together, and then large claws are attached to the ends. The finished elements are fixed at the junction of the head and body. It is recommended to do this using a match or a toothpick so that they hold on tightly. Simultaneously with this, you can proceed to the finishing drawing of the figure. To do this, highlight the texture and twist the scorpion's tail a little, after which the craft will be completely ready.
Sometimes, when making such products, eyes are also created separately from white and black plasticine; you can also buy ready-made items in the store. Such figures can be created from plasticine mass of various colors. Often, these products are made completely black.
Useful Tips
- When working with plasticine material, a special board should be prepared in advance. It is better to make modeling on it, because in the composition of plasticine there are fatty elements that can leave traces on other objects. It will be difficult to deduce them.
- When choosing a material for making crafts, preference should be given to special wax bases. This plasticine has a unique composition. It does not contain harmful impurities and components, therefore it is considered absolutely safe for children's creativity.
- In addition, wax plasticine is more plastic., it does not have any specific odors. It can be purchased from specialized stores at an affordable price.
- In the process of sculpting, remember that it is better to use a stack when forming blanks. This device will allow you to make all the elements as accurately and smoothly as possible.
