How to make a crown using the kanzashi technique and what is needed for this?

The kanzashi crown looks dignified and attractive, therefore can become an interesting decoration and a real novelty for girls at a children's matinee or a party at home... Making an elegant crown in New Year's style is extremely simple, you just need to stock up on some materials and patience.

To make jewelry with your own hands, you need to prepare 26 pieces of tape (the size should be 5x5 cm). You can choose any colors you like, but fabrics in cream, gold and champagne are the best. You also need to take 15 pieces of gold brocade (4x4 cm).

Cooking and other little things:

• an empty foam insert from under the tapes measuring 4 cm;
• several white felt circles measuring 4 and 6.5 cm;
• a 1.2 cm piece of champagne satin ribbon (to make the reel on which the parts will be attached look more attractive);
• a little brocade 0.5 cm each;
• 14 mother-of-pearl half-beads;
• clip 7.5 cm;
• brocade measuring 0.5 cm wide and 8.5 cm long;
• felt rectangle to decorate the mount.

A New Year's (or other crown) is done as follows. First, you need to make 26 triple and sharp petals, which then need to be divided into several rows. You should also make 15 simple sharp petals, but this time from gold brocade. A frame must be assembled from triple elements.

Taken squares of champagne, cream and golden shades. Elements of the same size are bent in half, opposite corners must be aligned.Further, the bend is repeated on other parts until the squares become four-layer. Each of the squares is a separate layer for the petals to be made. They add up together.

Brocade should be a weightless layer on the inside. Scissors and a lighter will help flatten the petals. For the original crown, you need to prepare 26 identical petals. There will be 13 of them in one layer.

We take a cylindrical foam and make the base of the crown. You can use the blank portion of a roll of tape. This element is an ideal option, which will fit in size, and also will not allow the finished hairpin to slide through the hair, as it is lightweight. We prepare a circle of felt (measure under the cylinder) and a tape to make the side more beautiful.

Felt is glued to one side of the cylinder, and satin is glued to the side. Triple petals are also attached there (they must be attached with the back side). A neat and even first layer (13 petals) is formed. The side covered with felt should be the inner side. After that, the remaining petals (not sharp) are attached, which must be placed in the gaps left between the previous elements. The second ring should move slightly inward.

From the golden pieces (4 cm) that we have left, we make petals. We try to get sharp details, but they should be more squeezed from the sides. You need to make 15 pieces. These parts need to be distributed where the void is. They go top layer. A graceful shamrock can be made on the front side. Next, take a circle of 6.5 cm felt and attach it to the bottom of the hair clip, which will hold the creative crown.

Then you need to take a small ribbon of brocade and use it to make the base of the parts of the lower layer more attractive by decorating them. Half-beads are sewn to the crown blank (13 are located on a strip of brocade, and one is attached on top, in the center). The finished crown can be attached to the bezel or you can come up with your own original craft by sharing a master class.
