The question of artificial feeding of newborn kittens can sometimes arise quite suddenly. There are situations when a cat does not have milk, or she simply refuses to feed her offspring. In this case, a breast milk substitute that is close to natural comes to the rescue. Read more about milk formula for kittens from ROYAL CANIN further in the article.

Description and purpose

ROYAL CANIN milk for kittens is a high-quality product, as close as possible to the composition of natural mother's milk of a cat, enriched with proteins and docosahexaenoic acid, with the necessary nutritional and taste properties.

The product is available in powder form for preparing milk formula. Thanks to the improved formula, it completely dissolves in water to a homogeneous consistency, which greatly facilitates the feeding process. The controlled atmosphere bags in which the powder is packed allow maximum preservation of its taste and nutritional value, even during long-term storage.

Designed for artificial feeding of kittens from the moment of birth to the moment of weaning from the mother (0-2 months). Developed in accordance with the characteristics of the digestive system of animals of this age.

Fully provides the age-related daily calorie intake, as well as the intake of all the necessary substances for the proper development of the nervous, cardiovascular, visual and other systems and organs.

One container contains three sachets of controlled atmosphere blending powder, each weighing 100 g. And also the kit immediately contains everything you need for feeding: a graduated bottle, a set of nipples with holes of various sizes, a measuring spoon. Detailed instructions for use are attached to the package.

All proteins contained in the milk replacer are carefully selected, so they are easily and maximally absorbed by the digestive system of a newborn kitten. It is important that there is no starch in the composition, since the gastrointestinal tract of kittens at this age is not able to produce enzymes for the digestion of this heavy carbohydrate.

The amount of lactose in ROYAL CANIN is the same as in breast milk. This is also of great importance, since newborn kittens are not able to absorb high doses of lactose.

The probiotics included in the feed ensure the creation of normal intestinal microflora for its proper functioning.

The milk replacer is fortified with DHA. This acid is indispensable for the proper development of the nervous system, which is still developing at this age.

Vitamin A promotes good eyesight, strengthens the kitten's immunity and ensures the growth of the whole body. Vitamin D maintains the required level of calcium and phosphorus in the blood, thereby preventing the development of rickets, provides strong teeth and bones. Vitamin E has a positive effect on the condition of the coat and skin. B vitamins take part in the development of the neuromuscular system, improve appetite.

An indispensable amino acid - taurine - helps digestion, namely: it participates in the process of digesting fats. It is necessary for the successful course of almost all vital processes in the cat's body.

Instructions for use

Here are tips on how to properly dilute the mixture.

To prepare the milk mixture you will need:

  • a bag of milk replacer for ROYAL CANIN kittens;

  • water with a minimum mineral composition;

  • dosing spoon;

  • graduated bottle.

Cooking method.

Pour 20 ml of clean drinking water into the feeding container. Preheat the water to 70 degrees Celsius.

Then take a bag of milk replacer, take from it 1 level scoop (10 ml) of dry powder.

This amount of powder should be diluted in 20 ml of water, shaking the bottle well until the liquid becomes homogeneous.

Wait for the mixture to cool slightly. You can check this by dropping the mixture into the elbow or wrist area. If the mixture is not hot, but warm, then you can feed the kitten.
