In addition to cats that nature itself created, now there is a huge variety of artificially bred breeds. Even hairless cats already have several subspecies. Each of them has its own character and characteristics that the breeder will have to reckon with.

Description

There are several breeds of hairless cats, and they all have different names. They share common features, but they also have differences. Most of all, these animals are similar to their fellow Siamese cats. They have the same huge and bulging eyes, a slightly pointed muzzle, large, almost half the head, ears, but thin legs and a tail. What distinguishes them is the partial or complete absence of fur.

In addition, these cats have a very unusual eye color. Most often it is blue or orange. Modern cats without hair are slightly different from the very first representatives of this breed. Almost all of them do not have a mustache. Since they look like aliens, many of them are called "moon cats".

The color of naked animals is quite diverse. There are gray, black, and fiery beauties. But the reason for their birth was never fully disclosed. Although many sources say that the first cats appeared in antiquity and were mainly kept in the temples of the Aztecs.

It was believed that these animals are intermediaries between gods and people. They were also mentioned in ancient Egypt. In many ways, this prompted breeders to call them sphinxes.

Character traits

Some people do not like these cat breeds at all because of their repulsive appearance. However, having got to know them a little better, you can easily change your mind in the opposite direction.

After all, such animals are very loyal to their owners. They practically do not know fear, are not vindictive, very affectionate. Bald cats can sit all day in the arms of their owner, if only they stroked them a little. In addition, they love when they touch their faces, and they also love kissing.

Such cats are not afraid of strangers and can almost immediately jump onto their laps. They are smart enough, literally from the first time they remember their sleeping place, as well as the feeding place. Very quickly they begin to respond to their name, instantly get used to the tray, after 1-2 days they go to it on their own. In addition, bald cats perfectly remember commands and can even learn to bring slippers to their owner.

They are not conflicted, they love small children, they get along well with other pets that are in the house. But at the same time, those who decide to have such a pet should be ready to almost always be in the zone of his vision. After all, only the owner goes into another room, the animal begins to meow, and also scratches the closed door.

Therefore, if the person is too busy, it is better to get a less attached pet.

How to choose?

Before you buy such a bald handsome man, you need to find out everything about his breeders. About whether the kitten has a pedigree, as well as the necessary registration documents. They must indicate that the purchased cat is a purebred representative of this breed. This will make it possible in the future not only to breed, but also to sell future offspring, if it appears.

It is imperative to make sure that the kitten is completely healthy and has not been sick before, whether it has been vaccinated. In addition, you need to carefully consider the entire kitten and make sure that its skin is clean, without skin diseases.

You also need to ask about its price, because if it is underestimated, it may mean that the kitten is not purebred. It is necessary that you like the kitten. After all, he will constantly be in front of your eyes. In addition, you need to find out what his character is, which is also important for its content.

How to name?

It will be very difficult to choose a name for your pet. After all, these animals are special and, accordingly, this should be their nickname. It is best to choose a nickname where there are hissing letters, so the cat will quickly get used to the name. You can pick it up depending on color, breed, on its character and habits. It also happens that the owners give nicknames after the kitten has entered the house, focusing on some of its features.

For example, you can give a name by color. If the cat is black, you can call him Black or Black, if he is pink, you can call him Pink. The girl can be called Cleopatra in honor of the Egyptian queen or Isis in honor of the goddess. You can also call her Bagheera if her skin is completely black.

However, it often happens that the breeders have already named the kitten and then this problem will disappear by itself. Also, only the initial letters can be indicated in the passport.

Content

For those breeders who opted for keeping hairless animals, you need to know that these animals will need not only attention, but also special care. In addition, you need to monitor their health.

Those people who live too active lives should remember that both kittens and adult cats require a lot of attention, and they also cannot stand loneliness.

Since the animals are completely bald, they are very afraid of cold weather and can freeze. Therefore, you can buy clothes for them in special stores or sew them yourself. It is best to place a sleeping place for such cats closer to the radiator or near a heater. However, it is imperative to secure this place so that the kitten does not burn itself.

In addition, cats should be walked very carefully so that the sun's rays do not scorch their delicate skin.

Nutrition

Particular attention should be paid to animal feeding.The feed can be both industrial and natural. If the first is preferred, then it must be chosen taking into account the age of the ward. In addition, the condition of the animal must be taken into account. So, there should be a different attitude towards castrated or pregnant cats, including in terms of nutrition.

If natural feeding is preferred, then it must be balanced. It should include the following products:

  • boiled chicken or beef meat, which must be boneless and skinless;
  • boiled vegetables, such as beets or peppers, fresh cucumbers;
  • some greens, such as parsley or dill;
  • various cereals - this is rice, and oatmeal, and buckwheat, as well as wheat groats;
  • a little fat-free cottage cheese can be given once a week;
  • sea fish;
  • boiled chicken or quail eggs;
  • 3 times a week, it is imperative to give the cat brewer's pharmaceutical yeast;
  • croutons - with their help a cat can brush its teeth.

Hygiene

Since the cat's skin is very delicate, it is imperative to take care of it. Dirt can accumulate in folds on the animal's body. Therefore, in order to prevent this, it is necessary to wash these places with shampoo, best of all for children. This will not give them any discomfort, on the contrary, animals of this breed love to splash in the water to their fullest.

It is necessary to ensure that water does not get into the ears of the bald handsome man. To do this, you can close them with tampons. In the bathroom, the water should not exceed more than 37 degrees. In addition, a rug must be placed on the bottom of the container so that the pet does not slip. If this is not done, then the cat may simply be offended. But they are very afraid of the shower, so it is best to wash off the shampoo with your palms. If the cat does not like to bathe, then you just need to wipe it with cotton pads soaked in baby lotion.

The skin of such pets dries out very quickly, so it must be lubricated with a baby cream.

Games

If you want to please your cat, you need to learn how to play with it. But you need to choose such games that the pet will like, and not the owner himself. You can try to run with her, but if you don't like it, then invite her to just take a walk.

However, it is necessary to accustom the cats to order the first time so that they do not break anything during the game. Any cat will be interested in running after a ball or a piece of elastic tied to a string. You can also buy or make with your own hands various toys for the animal. You can make a simple cardboard square that your cat can rip right away. But it will protect all furniture in the house from its claws.

Summing up, we can say that hairless cats are perfect for keeping in any home. After all, these are the most good-natured and loyal animals of all existing cats.
