The Siberian cat has been popular for many years. Despite the fact that new and various exotic breeds are constantly appearing, many remain loyal to the Siberians. And this is not surprising. Beautiful fluffy animals will leave few people indifferent. In addition, there is a wide variety of colors for every taste. Lovers of monochromatic colors will be attracted by the black Siberian cat. These are rather large animals. A cat can weigh up to 12 kg, a cat is 1.5–2 times smaller. Their wool is of medium length, it can be of the most varied colors: white, gray, red, black, striped and spotted. And each animal is interesting and attractive in its own way. The black Siberian cat is no exception.

She also has long hair, a sturdy body, large eyes, wide-set ears, which may have small tassels at the ends. All this time, the cat can sleep or just go about his business, but he will not be nasty and mischievous, if it is not a kid who only learns the world and loves to play.

It is believed that color leaves an imprint on character. The black cat is calm and friendly. She respects not only the owner, but also all family members. She will not show aggression, hiss, bite or rush at people, unless, of course, she is not deliberately teased or offended. She can hum for hours.

But at the same time, the character of the cat is still peculiar. This is not to say that she is a fan of sitting on her arms. And if the pet shows with all his appearance that he does not want to be in his arms, it is better to let him go, although calm domestic cats most often give themselves both stroking and scratching behind the ear.

If there is a dog in the house, they are usually friends, play together, and they do not have any conflicts. If they run after each other, these are just fun games, nothing more. As for birds and fish, the situation is getting more complicated. Even the calmest cat can have instinct, and you shouldn't be surprised if she decides to hunt for a flying canary or fish out of an aquarium. After all, everyone knows that a cat needs prey, and even more so a native of the forest.

There is one more moment in the character of the Siberian cat, including the black one. If a cat doesn't like a person, he may hiss and get angry. And there's nothing you can do about it it is better not to bother him and not force him to extreme measures: it may also scratch.

Siberian cats are long-livers. With good and proper care, care and attention from the owner, they can live 20 years or more. Caring for Siberians has its own distinctive features.

• The coat needs careful and regular care. Specialty combs are available at your pet store. You need to comb the animal during molting every day, the rest of the time at least 2 times a week. Otherwise, the cat may develop tangles, the coat will look matted and ugly. With regular care, they will not appear, but if this happens, you need to carefully untangle them using a special spray and a comb. If this fails, you need to carefully cut them off.
• Cats are clean and do not need frequent bathing, it is enough to do this once every 3 months. For the procedure, you should use shampoo for long-haired cats. Then a conditioner is applied to facilitate combing, after which the animal is wiped, dried (it is allowed to do this with a hairdryer if the cat is not afraid of it), and combed.
• Claws are trimmed twice a month gently cutting off only the regrown tips.
• Ears are cleaned with a cotton swab... You can use a spray designed for this purpose.
• Eyes rub chamomile infusion or pure boiled water.
• Not all cats like to brush their teeth with special pastes and a brush. However, there are specific delicacies for brushing your teeth. They are sold at pet stores.
• The corner of the cat where she eats should always be clean.... The remains of uneaten food should be thrown away and the dishes washed. One of the bowls should always contain clean drinking water, especially during the hot season.
• Ideal cleanliness should be in the tray too. If it is wet, not clean enough, the cat can go to look for a toilet in another place, and you should not scold her for this. In addition, the litter box should be spacious, given that the animal is quite large. You can choose any filler that is convenient. But it is undesirable to change it. The cat gets used to a certain smell. If the cat's owners have taught the little kitten, for example, to wood filler, it is better to use it in the future.
• The pet needs to purchase a vertical or horizontal scratching post of a suitable size and place it so that it is convenient for the pet to sharpen its claws... A play complex with steps, a couch and toys will also benefit the animal.
• Caring for kittens is different in that they require more attention in terms of special nutrition and education. It is important to instill all good habits in childhood, and then an adult cat will not cause trouble for the owners.

As for nutrition, veterinarians recommend using high-quality dry food, rich in vitamins and minerals, designed specifically for long-haired cats, taking into account the nuances. For a castrated cat or a pregnant cat, as well as for kittens, different types of food are used. Liquid food is alternated with dry food and given as a treat.

The second food option is natural food. The kitten is taught to do this from childhood, giving him:

• fish;
• meat;
• dairy products;
• porridge;
• vegetables.

Sometimes you can diversify the menu by cooking chicken kidneys, liver, stomachs or heart. Not all cats will eat greens and vegetables, so they need to be added to meat or fish. The same goes for cereals and eggs. Eggs can be given 1-2 times a week. Cottage cheese and sour cream can be given every other day.
