Tracksuit fabric
Clothes for professional training and sports are made from special materials, which have a number of specific properties. What kind of materials are used for this - our article will tell.
Peculiarities
The material used for the production of a tracksuit must meet the following requirements:
- High breathability. The suit must be breathable so that the athlete is comfortable even during the most intense workouts. In addition, the fabric should allow moisture to pass through, preventing sweat from accumulating under the clothes.
- Strength. A sports suit must be designed for a fairly serious load, stretch well and maintain its original shape.
- Practicality. The material should be easy to wash and dry quickly.
- External attractiveness. It is good if the suit, in addition to the basic functions, also looks stylish and beautiful. It is much more pleasant to study in such clothes.

Both natural and synthetic fabrics are used to create sportswear.
Cotton is one of the most popular and frequently used materials for sewing tracksuits. Its advantages include: high strength, resistance to fading, excellent water and air permeability, hypoallergenicity. Its disadvantages include relative fragility.
The canvas also has a cotton base. But, unlike a cotton suit, canvas clothing is highly resistant to wear and tear and retains its original appearance for a long time. The material is very dense, does not stretch, and is practical to use.
Wool is often used for sewing insulated models. It has a number of advantages for its purposes, including hygiene, high heat saving coefficient, hygroscopicity. The disadvantages include, perhaps, only the difficulty in leaving.
Silk is never used in its pure form, usually in combination with other materials. The addition of silk fibers makes the material more wear-resistant, durable and visually attractive.
Footer - natural cotton material, very soft, pleasant to the touch, thanks to the special weave of the threads. Sometimes used in combination with polyester yarns. Footer is divided into 2 groups: two-thread and three-thread.
A double strand is formed by interweaving two threads. It is thinner, softer, lighter, used with a fleece lining. Three-thread is a thicker and warmer material that is suitable for use in the cold season.
The disadvantages of natural materials include their unsuitability for sublimation, that is, for through color. Decor and prints are applied to them by means of embroidery on fabrics, overlaid details or silk-screen printing.
The advantages of synthetic materials, first of all, include their increased elasticity. Thanks to this, the service life of sportswear and the comfort of its use are greatly increased. In addition, synthetics are easy to clean. It is very easy to wash, dries quickly, does not stretch and does not lose its shape. On the other hand, synthetics can cause an allergic reaction.
False mesh is a synthetic material for sewing tracksuits. This is polyester, which is very durable, practical, and easy to clean. The color does not fade or fade even after repeated washing. The material is very hygroscopic, and to improve its properties, it is often treated with a special impregnation. The mesh is hypoallergenic, therefore it is suitable for creating children's clothing. Most often, the material is used for sewing hockey, volleyball, football uniforms. The mesh can have different densities.
Elastic outwardly it is a completely smooth material on one side and soft, warm, reminiscent of fleece on the other. The material keeps warm well, therefore it is suitable for the autumn-spring period.
The main advantage of duspo is good wind protection. A formal, beautiful uniform is often sewn from such material. Sometimes the material is treated with a special impregnation. Duspo clothing is usually lined.
Micropolyester is a material based on polyester fibers. Possesses good density, strength, lightness. Almost does not wrinkle, keeps its shape well, is resistant to fading. The front side of the material has a soft, velvety surface that is pleasant to the touch.
Prince material has good water-repellency, is easy to clean, durable and attractive in appearance.
Taslan is a polyamide-based material. It is characterized by an unusual weaving structure and the presence of a porous waterproof coating on the seamy side. The material is very lightweight, durable, does not retain moisture, does not allow fluff to pass through, easy to operate, resistant to friction, mechanical stretching and other loads.
Other materials include lycra, nylon, spandex, knitwear, antibacterial fabric, etc.
For sewing a tracksuit, several materials can be used at oncewith excellent physical and mechanical properties. Typically, the outer part is made of waterproof polyester, with warm fleece lining, mesh lining, etc.
When buying a tracksuit, you should carefully study the information on the composition of the fabric and how to care for it. Such information is placed on the label by the manufacturer. Careful and careful care is the key to the durability of any material.
Innovative technologies
Modern technologies are aimed at improving materials not only for professional tracksuits, but also for ordinary T-shirts, shorts, sweatpants and other clothing.
For example, the Adidas company pays special attention to the development of material that is as comfortable as possible for athletes engaged in intense exercise. During vigorous exercise, the human body produces a large amount of sweat. The brand's polyester micro-mesh allows moisture to be instantly absorbed and transported to the surface for evaporation.
Moreover, the material also has excellent breathability. The mesh material has a special tunnel design, due to which air is retained in the cells, but at the same time it does not interfere with the absorption and removal of sweat.
The athlete feels absolutely comfortable even with intense power loads.
The Puma company is actively involved in the implementation of innovative developments in its own production. The materials used are excellent at absorbing moisture. In addition, special anatomical inserts on the garment provide optimal thermal and air regulation for training at different intensities. The capillary structure of the material allows you to retain heat and, at the same time, remove moisture to the surface.
Another innovative development from the company - PowerCELL... Its principle of operation is based on the phenomenon of compression. The athletic tape, applied in special places under the clothes, has a compressive effect, micromassage and improves blood flow to the body. It is the perfect solution for long periods of stress and training.
Nike is one of the world leaders in the production of sportswear. It is not surprising that this brand is also actively introducing the latest scientific developments into production. For example, the company uses microfiber made from recycled polyester to sew sports shorts, trousers and other clothing. This material perfectly stretches in different directions, instantly absorbs sweat. Washes perfectly and dries very quickly.
For lovers of natural fabrics, microfiber is often used in combination with cotton. At the same time, the suit has all the advantages of synthetics, and its inner part, made of natural cotton, gives comfort and pleasant sensations during classes.
