But for all this to bring results, it is necessary that make-up, hairstyle, jewelry emphasize attractiveness. This will happen if they are selected correctly, that is, in accordance with the appearance and shape of the face.

Before applying makeup and doing your hair, you should decide on the type of your appearance. The perfect hairstyle and perfect makeup for you will depend on the shape of your face, nose, skin tone and hair. Each type has its own characteristics and suitable hair lines and methods of face decoration.

When we say "Slavic face", we mean an oval or rounded face with a straight or slightly upturned nose, low cheekbones, rather large eyes, which are blue, blue, gray, green, light brown. This type is characterized by light skin and hair of all shades of light brown and ash.

The Scandinavian type looks somewhat different. Its main characteristics are the correct oval of the face, very light skin of a pink tint, light eyes (most often blue, can be gray or green). And also he will be distinguished by small cheekbones, a narrow nose, very light, almost white or reddish hair.

The Mongoloid face will look completely different. First of all, it will differ in the shape and shape of the eyes. They are small, often slanted, the upper eyelid thickens towards the bridge of the nose. The eye color is very dark.

Other distinctive features are well-defined high cheekbones, black hair, most often straight, yellow skin tone. It goes without saying that makeup for a female Mongoloid face will be significantly different from makeup for a European woman.

However, women's faces are so different that it is clearly not enough to divide them all into these three categories and select only makeup for them. When choosing makeup, you must also take into account the shape of the face.

Publications in periodicals offer a test with which you can find out the shape of the face. The test questions also boil down to comparing the sizes of different parts of the face and determining the shape of the chin.

Several basic forms can be distinguished.

• Oval. In an oval face, its length clearly prevails over its width, the forehead is somewhat wider than the jaws, and the cheekbones are wider than the forehead. The rounded chin gives the oval a complete look. The oval face can be compared to an inverted chicken egg.

• Round. If you measure the height of the face and its width at the level of the cheekbones, it turns out that they are almost the same. The chin tapers downwards and has a rounded shape, while the low forehead is framed by a smooth hairline.

• Square. It is also a face with the same height and width, but the chin will be angular. The rather high forehead is the same width as the cheekbones and jaw. Above the forehead is a straight hairline resembling a bracket in its outlines.

• Triangular. The width of such a face is slightly inferior to the height. The forehead is the widest part of it. The cheekbones are sometimes the same in width, but the face becomes narrower downward, and a small pointed chin completes the triangular shape.

• Diamond-shaped. The face is slightly larger in height than in width. The cheekbones are usually high. From this widest part, the face tapers both down and up. The chin has a pointed shape, and the forehead, thanks to the peculiar hairline, resembles a cone.

• Trapezoidal. In this case, the width of the face is inferior to its height. The cheekbones are quite wide, but the jaw line is wider than the cheekbone line. The face tapers upwards and the forehead line is the smallest.

• Rectangular. The face has an elongated shape, its height is clearly greater than its width. The high forehead is the same width as the cheekbones and jaw. Such persons have a rather massive wide chin, and the hairline is usually straightened.

It happens that the descriptions still fail to determine the shape of the face. In this case, you can carry out simple manipulations at home that will help you understand your type.

Sit in front of a large mirror with your hair pulled back from your face. Try to sit up straight without leaning forward. Make sure that the light falls correctly: from above, not heading into your face. With a felt-tip pen, marker, or a piece of chalk, trace the contours of your face in your reflection in the mirror. Ears do not need to be included in this circuit.

Now examine your drawing carefully. Determine the widest part, compare with the height. Consider the shape of your chin and hairline.

A little more effort will be required if there is a need to visually enlarge small eyes or narrow lips, reduce a large nose or hide a double chin.

Owners of oval faces can use pretty bright eye makeup. It is better to take shadows of two or three tones: a light shade for the inner corners, a darker one for the outer ones.

For eye makeup, you can use fairly bright and dark shadows. They can be monochromatic, but their strip on the eyelid should expand from the inner corner of the eye to the outer one. However, you should not blindly follow the fashion and reproduce what you saw - the hairstyle should suit your face type and equalize its proportions.

Only the owners of faces of the correct oval shape can experiment with their hair and use different styles. They can afford haircuts of different lengths and shapes, fluffy and sleek hairstyles. The only thing they don't need to do is to let go of the long thick bangs and strands falling on the face, so as not to hide the beautiful proportions.

If your hair is thin, it is better not to wear it long, but to cut it short. If your facial features are large, smooth hair or large waves will look better. Fine features go well with curls.

Also, in order not to emphasize the width of the cheekbones, do not tuck your hair behind your ears. Hair can be gathered in a ponytail, but only with bangs.

If you still prefer a short haircut, then bangs are also necessary. In no case should bangs be smooth. It will help to visually shorten the face. Partings should be done on the side. Avoid creating straight parting and volume on the crown, so as not to visually lengthen the face.

The bob haircut, which is fashionable this season, is perfect. It can be classic: the strands are elongated near the face, and shortened at the back. You can also wear its varieties: asymmetric, graduated, torn, elongated, with bangs. Any of them will create the necessary natural volume at the temples.

Long hair can be worn with a rectangular face. Curls will not spoil the look.

Hairstyles will also hide the face geometry well without observing symmetry.

Regardless of the shape of the face, there are makeup rules that every woman must follow.

• When applying a dark foundation, blend it over the neck area, behind the ears, otherwise the complexion will contrast with the skin color of other parts of the body, which looks ridiculous.
• Using tonal bases of different shades, blush, highlighters and bronzers, achieve smooth color transitions, carefully shade cosmetics.
