From off-the-shelf ready-to-use facials to powdered options that require preparation. Most of them are very effective. But hardly anyone would argue with the fact that natural skin care products can give almost one hundred percent positive results. One of these options is a cottage cheese face mask.

Beneficial features

The benefits of a mask using cottage cheese for the skin of the face and neck can hardly be overestimated. This is due to the rich composition of the fermented milk product, which is able to saturate the skin with useful substances. A large amount of essential vitamins and minerals make the curd mask a very popular and effective remedy.

We list some important trace elements that make up the product:

  1. Magnesium provokes collagen production in cells. Many people know that skin tone directly depends on this protein. Therefore, for aging skin, the curd mixture is especially useful and effective in the fight against wrinkles.
  2. Phosphorus is able to reduce inflammation and improve metabolic processes in cells.
  3. Iron is a source of relief for dry skin, relieves tightness and has a positive effect on the complexion.
  4. Everyone knows that cottage cheese contains a large amount of calcium, which is useful not only for the human skeletal system, but also for the skin. Thanks to calcium, its condition improves, it becomes smooth, silky.

The curd mask is rich in vitamins.Vitamins A, D, PP, C, B2 contribute a number of useful properties.

  • anti-aging effect;
  • protect from the negative influences of the external environment;
  • help to reduce inflammation, accelerate metabolic processes.

And this is not a complete list of useful properties of a cottage cheese mask.

Contraindications

It should be said that there are no contraindications as such for this mask. And this is due to the 100% natural composition of the mixture. Contraindications can only be called individual intolerance to both the curd itself and additional products that can be added to the mask. Also, it is undesirable to use a curd mask if there is a large amount of inflammation on the face. In this case, there remains the possibility that the agent can strengthen the processes.

In all other situations, using a curd mask is absolutely safe.

Cooking recipes

The curd mask can be applied to any skin type.

There are only two points to consider when using the tool:

  1. if the skin type is dry, then cottage cheese should be chosen with a high fat content;
  2. for oily skin, it is recommended to use low-fat or fat-free cottage cheese.

Do not forget about the quality of all ingredients. It is a mistake to believe that since the product will be applied externally, and not in food, then its freshness is not required. Only high-quality products should be used for the mask, otherwise there is a high risk of negative skin reactions. It is better to use homemade cottage cheese. The fact is that manufacturers of store products do not always guarantee 100% naturalness. Often, preservatives are added to the curd, which allow the product to be stored longer, and this can significantly reduce the effectiveness of the mask.

It is very simple to prepare a curd face mask at home. Depending on the ingredients added to the curd, it can be for oily, aging skin, anti-wrinkle, whitening, moisturizing.

The curd mask made from strawberries and other fruits is very popular. To prepare it, you need to puree the strawberries. If desired, you can add some other fruit, such as a banana or avocado. Add a spoonful of well-grated cottage cheese to the fruit puree and add a little lemon juice. Then mix the mixture thoroughly and apply on the face. After 15–20 minutes, the mask should be thoroughly washed off.

This recipe is well suited for lightening the skin, improving its tone, saturating with vitamins, and tightening the face contour.

Blend for dry and aging skin

Curd mass with the addition of honey is perfect for dry skin, it is also recommended for women over 50 years old.

Required Ingredients:

  • cottage cheese - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • honey - 1 tbsp. l .;
  • vegetable oil - 0.5 tsp.

    To prepare it, you need to put a spoonful of cottage cheese in a convenient container, honey should be added to it. If this product is candied, then it must be slightly warmed up, since the mask requires a liquid consistency. The amount of honey should be equal to the amount of cottage cheese. Then, half a teaspoon of vegetable oil must be poured into the resulting mixture. A mixture with olive oil or flaxseed is a good choice.

    Capsules with vitamins A, E, B, which can be bought at the pharmacy, will help to enhance the rejuvenating effect. A small amount of vitamins should be poured into the mixture and mixed well.

    It is not recommended to keep the mask with honey on the face for more than 15 minutes. In addition, unlike cottage cheese, honey is a rather strong allergen, therefore, it is prohibited to use a mask if you are allergic to honey. But even in its absence, it is recommended to test the product on a small area of the skin in order to avoid unpleasant surprises.

    Moisturizing mask

    A curd mask with cucumber and sour cream is a good option to moisturize the skin. To prepare it, you need to peel the cucumber and grate it on a fine grater.Then gently squeeze out excess liquid and move one spoon to a container where the mass will be prepared. You also need to add a spoonful of cottage cheese there. It should be well grated, since large pieces of cottage cheese will greatly complicate the application of the mask. Then add a spoonful of sour cream. The entire contents of the container are thoroughly mixed, the resulting mass is applied to the face for about 20 minutes.

    Whitening

    The mask with the addition of parsley is famous for its good whitening effect. To prepare the mixture, a bunch of fresh herbs should be finely chopped. If fresh is not available, you can brew dried parsley. To use dried herbs for the preparation of the mask, it must be poured with a small amount of boiling water and kept for 10 minutes.

    When the parsley is prepared, in a clean bowl, mix it with the curd. You don't have to add any more ingredients. The combination of these products is great for getting rid of age spots and whitening skin. This mask should be applied if there is a desire to get rid of freckles.

    An excellent whitening effect can be achieved by adding hydrogen peroxide to the curd mask. To prepare this mask, you need to mix one chicken yolk into 45 grams of cottage cheese. Since the yolk is used raw, the quality of this product must be absolute. Then you need to add 3-4 drops of hydrogen peroxide and mix the resulting mixture well. This mask can remain on the face for a maximum of 15 minutes. If the skin is sensitive, the time should be reduced to 7-10 minutes.

    For dry skin

    For normal skin or prone to dryness, a curd mask with the addition of carrot juice will be a good option. A small amount of juice is needed - one spoon, however, it should be freshly squeezed, and not store-bought. In purchased juices, useful substances are very often practically absent. In addition to a spoonful of carrot juice, you must add a spoonful of milk to the mask. Cottage cheese, carrot juice and milk are thoroughly mixed and applied to the face. After 15 minutes, the mask must be thoroughly washed off.

    Application rules

    There are certain rules for applying masks using curd for the face. The main one is that the mass is applied exclusively to cleansed skin. If there is even the slightest amount of makeup on the face, it must be completely removed. For this, micellar water, cleansing gels or make-up remover tonics are suitable.

    Regularity is very important in this matter. Even the most effective remedy will not work if applied from time to time. The best option is to use a curd mask once or twice a week. In this case, the course should be at least six sessions.

    The correctness of the technique of applying the mask itself is also important. It should be applied from chin to temples with gentle, gentle movements. Next, you should move from the forehead to the temples and from the nose to the sides.

    After the mask is washed off, you can take a toner or apply a cream, although the proposed mixtures moisturize the skin well and using the cream after them is not necessary.
