How and what to get to Crimea, everyone decides for himself. For a family it may be one way, for a single trip - another. There are many options, it is worth considering each in more detail.

How to get there by car and motorcycle?

If you are a lover of outdoor activities, then this option is for you. In order to get to Crimea by car, you no longer need to languish on the ferry crossing and pay extra money for it. For such a long journey, you should download applications such as 2GIS, Maps. me and others. Be careful, some navigators can pave a way through Ukraine, cut off such routes immediately.

The way from Moscow lies along the M4 "Don" highway, along which it is as if you are flying, but not driving, since this is a high-quality track with a good road surface. There are many paid sites on it. During the season, this can result in many hours of downtime in queues at payment points. But even here there is a solution - buying a transponder or, in another way, t-pass.

It provides its owners with a dedicated lane, which saves time. If you often travel by car in this direction, then the purchase will pay off for you in full already in 2 trips. There are signs on the road to the Crimean bridge. Its distance is 19 km plus 20-30 km on each side. There are no gas stations from the bridge, so be prepared for that.

Do not forget that gasoline is about 10% more expensive on the peninsula than on the mainland, so it is worth filling a full tank in advance to spend less further. On average, the road from the capital takes 20-24 hours, the distance is 1600 km.

And if you are a happy owner of a motorcycle, ride alone and do not like to stay in some places for a long time, then motorcycle travel is for you! If you think over the route in advance, it will be easy to move and relax. And on the peninsula itself you can easily and maneuver move from one point to another and see the sights.

You can also go on an e-bike trip. Now there are models that develop a speed of 30 km / h on flat sections of the road and small inclines. If you move from one settlement to another, then you can safely use it. Such a bike requires approximately every 70 km of battery charging. This is suitable for moving around Crimea if you want to be more mobile when exploring local attractions.

Travel by train

The train is one of the best options for traveling with your family if you are an adherent of a relaxing holiday and do not plan to move anywhere from place to place. But there is one problem. There is no direct train to the destination. You can take a train to Krasnodar or Anapa, and from there take a bus across the bridge over the Kerch Strait. You can buy 2 tickets separately: train and bus. But it's better to get "Single ticket"... It will free you from running around and wasting time in queues.

You can also go by train to Krasnodar or Anapa, after that, with the same ticket, change to a bus and get to the port "Kavkaz". From this port you take a ferry to the port "Crimea" and again take a bus to the most popular resort towns. You can buy such a ticket at the box office of Russian Railways.

The travel time will take from 1.5 to 2 days along with all transfers, depending on the chosen point of stay. It is better to choose this method for those tourists who are not able to fly by plane, or when they do not have their own car, or maybe they do not want to go behind the wheel.

It will be convenient to relax on the train, especially if you choose a compartment. You can dine in the dining car. There is a toilet room. All these are the undoubted advantages of the train.

How to get there by plane?

This method is the most comfortable and fastest. You can get from Moscow to Crimea in just 3-4 hours. Moreover, it is cheaper to take a round-trip ticket. The advantages are the lack of running around the station with luggage, fast arrival time. The disadvantages include the fact that the flight can be postponed due to bad weather or delay the departure indefinitely. From Simferopol, you need to get to your vacation spot using a transfer (it can be paid or free, it all depends on the hotel where you are staying and its conditions) or by bus. It will take some time. But still, this is the easiest option of all.

In order to purchase a ticket, you can contact a travel agency or independently, using search engines, choose among all flight options. A lot of them: Svyaznoy Travel, Skyscanner, Aviasales and others. You enter the necessary flight parameters, and the system selects the cheapest, most profitable and convenient options. As a result, from a variety of proposals, you choose what is right for you.

Ferry crossing

The history of the ferry crossing goes back to ancient times, even then people were worried about the communication between the two shores. In 1944, a railway bridge was built, which operated for only 3 months, and in the winter of 1945, due to the large amount of ice deposited from the Sea of Azov, it was damaged and could not be restored. Later it was decided to build a ferry as the cheapest way to travel.

The distance between the ports "Kavkaz - Kerch" is about 5 km. The ferry passes at the narrowest point of the Kerch Strait. This type of crossing has almost ceased to be used. It is used to transport echelons of military equipment and the military themselves, accompanying cargo by rail. Also, the construction of a railway to the Crimea is underway, therefore, over time, this function of the ferry will no longer be needed.

Sometimes ferry travel is carried out for trucks, but as the Crimean bridge and traffic for trucks were opened, it became irrelevant.

Bus ride

This type of travel is the cheapest and the fastest. If, for example, you leave Moscow at 10 am, then the next day you will find yourself at 2 pm in Simferopol. The ticket price for June 2019 is approximately 3,500 rubles per person.

In order to use this type of transport, you need to arrive at the Central Bus Station (Shchelkovsky) or at the Krasnogvardeyskaya, Novoyasenevskaya bus stations and the Yuzhnye Vorota international bus station in Moscow. It is worth purchasing a ticket in advance, since tickets in the south direction are sold out quickly. You can clarify their availability by calling the carriers, during a personal visit to the bus station or on the websites.

If you want to bring additional cargo or an animal with you, it is better to immediately clarify these points with the carrier, you may have to pay some additional amount or these services are not provided at all. It will be uncomfortable to ride on the bus if you have problems with your back or legs, because if you sit for a long time, your legs may swell and your back may become numb. Children will find it uncomfortable to rest due to the inability to lie down.

If you have no other way to ride, then use light shoes and special relaxing footwear, this will help relieve stress and facilitate the trip.

What will you need along the way?

  • For comfort, wear comfortable shoes: sneakers, sneakers, flat sandals (this is especially true at the airport) or moccasins are suitable. It is better to choose non-marking and “breathable” cotton clothes.
  • Bring a bottle of water for each person on the trip, as hot weather and stuffy weather can dehydrate the body.
  • On the road, you can take scanwords, a book, a tablet to while away the travel time.
  • If you are with children, then they will need spare sets of clothes for the road, toys, books, cartoons on your phone or tablet.
  • For gadgets, a portable charger or, in other words, an external battery is useful. These devices help you to charge your phone or other device without an outlet, some of them have a wireless charging function. Enough capacity of such a battery for 5000-10000 mAh.
  • You will need a small pillow and a blanket.
  • Do not take perishable food with you, it is better to take fruits, instant noodles, pre-cut bread and coffee-tea bags.
  • You will need hygiene products: wet and paper napkins, antibacterial hand gel.
  • Place the documents in a folder that can be closed with a zip-lock, so they will not get wet or deteriorate. Keep your money with you in your carry-on baggage. All this should be with you and not be left unattended.
