Sizes of kitchen sofas

The purpose of the kitchen sofa is to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for the hosts and guests. In the kitchen they not only eat, but also communicate. The sofa is a complete replacement for stools and chairs. Its dimensions should be such that the convenience and design of the kitchen are emphasized and not spoiled.

Straight and corner sofas are distinguished by shape. If the kitchen (or kitchen-living room) is spacious enough, a straight sofa is also suitable for organizing a recreation area in this room. Sleeping on such a sofa, if its longest part is less than 1.9 m, is difficult without placing a pair of stools or a chair under the feet of the person who is going to sleep. The ideal solution would be a kitchen sofa-corner made in the form of a transformer.

Its modular design with lifts allows it to be converted into a versatile lounger that can be used in any room. This design is the ideal minimalist option for kitchens and living rooms: it does not need the usual sofa bed used in the bedroom.

Typical dimensions of a transforming corner with a double bed function are 2x1.5 m, which allows two guests to comfortably spend the night when the apartment is small and one-room. Such a corner combines three useful functions at once, including storage. There are corners that come complete with additional stand-up seats, reminiscent of a cross between a stool and a pouf. These elements lengthen the berth (or both berths, if the sofa corner is folding) by 50-60 cm.

"Eurobook", or a folding sofa, which, if necessary, turns into a double bed in the likeness of ordinary sofas for a bedroom - a reduced version of the latter. One of the berths serves as a backrest for those sitting during the day.

Among small sofas, the most common sizes are 90, 100, 110, 120,130, 140, 150, 160 and 180 cm. The characteristics of the product indicate the length, width, depth and height of the structure.
