• Usually the table top is 50-60 cm. The size of the upper cabinet will correspond to this indicator, divided by two to provide at least half the distance for work: 60/2 = 30 cm. The depth of such a cabinet will be enough for dishes of absolutely any size. But if you ignore the calculation and make the depth shallower, then it will be problematic to use the work area without inconvenience.
• The designer himself can conceive absolutely incredible sizes of lockers according to his own parameters. Anyway, try to abandon the options for deepening less than the standard of 30 cm, otherwise you risk getting absolutely uncomfortable cooking, where you have to bend or twist to work on the countertop. The outer ratio must be respected. If the upper and lower drawers are of the same width, then the entire working area will be used irrationally, and it will be difficult to cook in such a kitchen.

To correctly calculate the ideal depth, it is worth paying attention to some points.

• Lighting depends entirely on the correct depth. Additional light sources will definitely be required if cabinets will cast shadows where they are not needed. That is, if the depth is greater, purchase additional lamps, built-in or wall-mounted.

• Be sure to measure the dimensions of your oven if you decide to build it into a wall cupboard. Furniture must be matched perfectly, otherwise you risk collapse of the structure.

• Mounts and mounts again. Wall cabinets are structures of increased danger, and there can be serious consequences if suddenly one of them collapses while people are present in the kitchen.

• In cupboards for drying dishes, it is also important to choose the right dimensions: the upper cupboard in depth should be equal to the width of the dryer.

A standard wall-hung kitchen unit is 70 to 93 cm high with a depth of half that dimension.

Remember that the correct calculation of the dimensions will allow you to use the kitchen space as economically as possible.
