Plastic kitchens: types and tips for choosing

It is obtained by pressing specially designed grades of paper under high pressure. Then they are processed with an absorbent. Finished products are samples of a material, solid in structure, with high quality characteristics and a varied palette.

Acrylic plastic is very often used for edging in one-piece kitchen facades. Acrylic is very durable and comes in a variety of colors. Manufacturers often produce completely transparent (colorless) acrylic plastic.

The production process includes several stages.

• First, a pattern is applied to the chipboard or MDF board or the surface is covered with any color. After that, each of the sheets is pasted over with an additional layer of pre-treated acrylic, and then the coating is placed under a press.
• Sections of the kitchen facades are closed with a waterproof acrylic edging. It prevents the decorative sheet from flaking. The kitchens are rich in tones and brilliance.

Acrylic plastic has a whole range of positive characteristics:

• it is wear-resistant, withstands well any mechanical stress;
• the material does not react to changes in air temperature;
• plastic is not afraid of exposure to water and steam, as well as sunlight;
• it is easy to clean and has an aesthetic appearance;
• is safe for health.

When decorating kitchen facades, fiberglass is also used. It is a synthetic material. For its production, they take specific fibers, expressed in the form of threads or bundles, and also use fiberglass. These elements are additionally mixed with photopolymer.

Fiberglass characteristics:

• high strength;
• the material can withstand temperature drops from - 40 to + 70 degrees Celsius;
• glass plastic does not rot;
• it has a long service life, which can be 30–35 years;
• fiberglass is a very light and shiny material.

Facades of modern kitchen sets are made of plastic taking into account the wishes of the most demanding buyers:

• the material can be pearlescent, glossy, matte, and also have a wide range of colors;
• plastic is able to imitate different textures, so the kitchen facade often has not only rectangular shapes, but also curved lines in its design.

• classic style;

• modern, combining combined two-tone shades.

Facades in classic style are designed in such a way that they look natural. Usually, kitchen furniture is made from natural solid wood, therefore plastic for facades is selected in accordance with the beautiful natural tones of trees, such as, for example, oak or alder. Plastic colors can be monochromatic or combined, consisting of two or three shades. Most often they use beige, brown, white, yellow, light green tones.

A strict and noble look to the kitchen set is given by the facades made of matte plastic with straight lines in design, made in the manner of natural stone. They are complemented by handles with the same matte metal finish. It can be antique gold, copper or bronze.
