Previously, if Muslim women visited the beach with the desire to swim, they had to dive into the water in casual clothes, which caused a lot of discomfort. Sooner or later, this problem had to be solved, and this was done by the talented Lebanese designer Aheda Zanneti. Her invention is called burkini. The name of the one-piece swimsuit is reminiscent of "bikini", but the look and meaning of these pieces is the opposite.

The values ​​and rules of Muslim women differ from the mentality of Europeans. European women of fashion strive to emphasize the dignity of their bodies on the beach, and oriental girls, on the contrary, strive to hide their beauty as much as possible. To achieve this goal, you cannot do without burkini.

The classic Muslim bikini set looks like one piece of fabric that folds into a very attractive model. Many people compare burkini to hijab. The set also contains a hat, beach pants, hood or hood.

Burkini were created especially for Muslim women, but after a while European girls dressed in this closed swimsuit began to appear on the beaches. Why it happens?

The invention appeared in 2007 and caused a huge stir both in the media and in the fashion world. The women were interested in the interesting style of a closed swimsuit, and they decided to adopt it. Increasingly, Europeans seeking outrageousness began to appear on the seashore in burkini, and some even adapted this model for surfing.

The goal of burkini designers is to make the swimsuit look awesome. Thanks to this competent move, the girl's natural beauty is hidden, and the elegant fabric gives her a sense of self-confidence, which is so necessary for every lady, regardless of religion.

While Muslim swimwear met with approval from a section of society, the rest expressed dissatisfaction. Many argue that burkini (just like other closed products for oriental women) hinder society in development.

Initially, burkini for Muslim women was decorated only in the traditional dark color. However, as the one-piece swimsuit began to gain popularity, fashion designers decided to change a lot in both colors and style.

• The tight-fitting hood was replaced by a cape. The function of the cape is to hide the shoulders and chest from male gaze, while the hood hid only the hair and neck.
• The degree of fitting of beach trousers now varies - there are both tight products and quite loose ones.
• The hem has acquired a new variation in length. Now it reaches the knee line, so the burkini looks like an interesting bathing dress.
• The low waist was complemented with a gathered elastic band with elastic properties.

Soon Aheda Zanneti took a new initiative. Stating that burkini fully complies with the rules established by Islam for the weaker half of humanity, she proposed to diversify the color palette of swimwear. The designers fully approved the idea, and the Muslim women were delighted to have a choice of beachwear.

Fashion designers from Turkey went even further. Under their leadership, a new style appeared - an improved burkini, called "hashema". Ninety percent of this model is the same as burkini, but the remaining nine percent are very significant.

• The length of the tunic was shortened to the thigh.
• Instead of pants - breeches and capri pants.
• The hood was replaced with a cute swimming cap.

Not every woman who strictly follows Muslim traditions has decided to use a modified version of burkini. Women's rights activists praised the innovation of Turkish designers. Hashema meets all the requirements, perfectly combining the modesty characteristic of girls with attractiveness.

It was possible to facilitate the beach vacation for adult women, it remains to deal with the children. Islamic mothers are firmly convinced that a girl needs to instill centuries-old traditions from a very early age, so they do not allow any freedom to their offspring.

• Kids love to decorate themselves with a variety of cute décor, and the designers, knowing this, replaced the boring hoods with adorable bonnies. They are decorated with multi-colored bows, flowers and ears.
• The tunic of children's swimwear looks more like a dress.
• The pants were replaced with leggings.

Muslim closed-toe swimwear is sometimes bought for their children and Europeans. It happens that babies, for medical reasons, are not allowed to stay under the scorching sun for a long time. Burkini save children from overheating and burns.

Burkini swimwear was supposed to help Islamic girls integrate into Western European society. Did it work out?

According to David Liznar, the mayor of Cannes, burkinis create a danger around Muslim women. The first alarm bell occurred in this particular French resort. A tourist ran over 85 people in Islamic robes in a truck. Now a girl who decides to visit the beach in Cannes, wearing a burkini, is obliged to pay a large fine.

The community was shocked by the incident on the island of Corsica. Corsian teenagers were amused by the appearance of Muslim women in closed swimsuits.Not giving a damn about moral standards, teenagers began to photograph girls. The reaction of their husbands, who were on the same beach, was predictable. There was a serious fight, as a result of which people with serious injuries had to be hospitalized.

The matter was not limited to bodily injury. Cars were burned, the fire spread to the trees, which provoked a terrible fire. The mayor of the city of Sisko, where the clash took place, followed Liznar's example.

The French Group Against Islamophobia criticized the ban on the use of Muslim swimwear, but the court reacted firmly to the appeal. The court order recalled that the French Republic had prioritized secularism over religious tradition.

The feminist movement fully supported the burkini taboo. They are of the opinion that hiding face in public places violates gender equality.

Muslim women themselves complained of threats from the indigenous population of France. A ban on wearing burkini can save them from life in constant fear for their health.

• There can be no question of any beautiful tan. The sun's rays only come into contact with the skin of the face, feet and palms.
• It is very difficult for Muslim women living in Russia to pick up burkini because of the limited assortment.
• The swimsuit for Muslim women will dry for a long time. Manufacturers have diligently selected the right fabric, but the models will still inconvenience women.
• After swimming, the burkini will lose its original shape.

In general, Muslim girls are happy with closed-toe swimwear. They provide much more convenience than the everyday attire in which Eastern women were forced to swim.

Numerous patterns and colors provide an opportunity to choose burkini depending on your preferences, but, unfortunately, this plus does not apply to residents of Russia.
