Just like leatherette, eco-leather is a synthetic material. But, if leatherette is 100% polyvinyl chloride, then eco-leather contains natural components: cotton, cellulose, or even a thin layer of real leather, taken as a basis.

Outwardly, to the touch and in some quality characteristics, eco-leather is more like real leather than leatherette. The only thing both materials have in common is complete waterproofness and good elasticity.

• Contamination can be easily removed with warm water and soap. If you have difficulty, wipe the dirty area with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol solution.
• It is strictly not recommended to wash things made of eco-leather. Only dry cleaning is permissible for them.
• There is no need to try to quickly dry an eco-leather jacket soaked in the rain: hot air can damage the structure of the material. Just hang it on a hanger and let it dry at room temperature.
