A quest is a ready-made set of exciting tasks, which are most often united by one topic and are aimed either at gaining a certain number of points, or at achieving some goal. For example, the participants in the quest are looking for treasure, whatever it may be. A quest is interesting, team-based, non-trivial and always very emotional. Therefore, arranging a quest for colleagues or friends on February 23 would be a great idea.

Features of the organization

Quest - a universal form not boring entertainmentthat can be both gambling and intellectual at the same time.

It can be organized in the office (right at the workplace) at a convenient time for this. This form is perfect for rallying employees, raising the corporate spirit.

If it is decided to give gifts to men on February 23, then such entertainment as a quest will definitely not be superfluous. The game is played with a very thorough preliminary preparation.

We list 10 rules for organizing a successful office quest.

  1. Creation of a coordination headquarters. It is necessary to determine who develops the script, who makes the props, design, who buys the prizes, who will be the presenter. And you also need a person who will capture the moments of the event (photographer or cameraman). Of course, these functions can be combined by one person, but it is very difficult, but 2-3 are already real.
  2. The topic is clear, not "floating"... If it is decided to devote the quest strictly to February 23, one cannot deviate from the topic. But this does not mean that everything needs to be tied to some kind of war films, jokes, in a word, a military theme. You can just dwell on the thesis "everything about men", and that will be good.
  3. Reference point to colleagues. You need to know the average age of the male part of the team or select tasks for everyone.As a rule, the organizers know which tasks will definitely pass, which will be too tough, which may cause embarrassment.
  4. Competent design... This refers to the visual design (from balloons to themed posters) and musical. All this creates the right mood.
  5. Thoughtful timing. You need to know exactly how long the game will take, because, most likely, there will be a drinking part at the holiday. In total, everything should not exceed 3 hours, although in each specific case the duration of the event may be different.
  6. Climax + congratulations. The main words, as well as gifts, must be left for the finale of the quest. It is even better if the men who hunt for treasure find gifts, that is, they will be conceived as a treasure. And at this moment the organizers make the main congratulatory speech.
  7. Dynamics of tasks. They do not have to be of the same type, each is different from the other in the type of action. If the quest begins with a puzzle, the next task will be with one or another motor activity, and the third - for attention, the fourth - for artistry, etc.
  8. Objective jury... The jury or the coordinator, but someone must follow the progress of the assignments, that is, not only the leader is engaged in this (and not so much he).
  9. Clarity of instructions... It is necessary to check whether the essence of the tasks is immediately clear. Complex forms, long sentences and ambiguous answers should be avoided.
  10. Hints. They are thought out in case of force majeure. If some task turns out to be "unbearable", there must be someone (conditional master) who has the right to be prompted.

Overview of assignments

There are several of the most commonly used quests that form the core of the quest. According to this algorithm, everyone can make their own search game.

  • Verbal and alphabetic... In the necessary cells, you need to enter either the correct letters, or whole words at once. So, a key word will appear in the cells, it will lead the participants to the next task. An ordinary crossword puzzle is a prime example of such a task.

But the same crossword puzzle, for example, can be graphic, which is more interesting.

  • Simple... A comic riddle, a charade, a question for erudition, etc. should lead to the keyword.
  • Rebus... At a certain stage, participants should distract from letters and numbers and move on to pictures. Rebus is perfect for this.

The quality of the puzzle must be perfect.

  • Logic puzzles... For example, puzzles with matches, where by their tips you need to determine the movement in the maze and put the letters together.
  • Fieldwords... The word is scattered among dozens of other letters. Or it could be the intersection of different words that need to be found and crossed out. It is very important how clearly the task is formulated.
  • Find the difference or find an item without a pair... Everything is simple here: in the case of differences, the key symbol can be a number, that is, the number of differences, in the case of an item without a pair - the number of “single” items found.
  • Logical chains. These can be strings with numerical, alphabetic or verbal patterns.
  • Ciphers... A classic trick for modern quests. The keyword can be encrypted with shapes, flowers, symbols, signs, pictograms, whatever. It is necessary to create an alphabet where each character will correspond to its letter. This is how the players read the keyword.

These are typical tasks, but in the case of an office quest, you don't need to be afraid to think over more creative moments.

For example, you can invite the participants to guess songs (or just sing along), act out scenes, draw, but in all these tasks you must remember to hide the key.

Ready scripts

It is most convenient to find out what a quest for February 23 is, using a ready-made example. In this case, this is a mini-quest for a thematic game right in the office.

Quest "Agent 023"

Greetings, introduction of the host, jury, team. It is assumed that there will be one team. Her goal is to find the treasure that was hidden by a secret unit (women of the collective). You need to choose a team captain who will coordinate the actions.

Task 1. Enter the password. To find a treasure, you first need to enter the closed area where it is located. To do this, male participants must enter a password. It consists of numbers separated by spaces. The digital password must be written down on a piece of paper.

Sequence of numbers and password:

  • the size of the shoes of the youngest team member (the organizers know in advance, for example, 43);
  • the sum of all numbers that are hidden in today (for example, 23 + 02 + 2020 = 2045);
  • the floor on which the quest is organized (for example, 3);
  • a number indicating the number of years that a particular participant has worked in the company (for example, 9).

The digital password will look like this: 43 2045 3 9.

If the participants have coped, they can receive the next task of the quest. Technically, this can be organized in different ways.

The envelope with the next task can be thrown under the door by a "special person" or the designated person in charge prints it quietly on the printer, and it ends up in the hands of the captain.

Task 2. A connoisseur of cinema. A fileword appears in front of the participants. Ideally, printed on a large sheet of paper or displayed on the screen. The task of the participants is to find the names of 7 military films in the intersection of words. The found word is either crossed out manually, or highlighted with the mouse. If the participants have coped with the task, the presenter tells them to turn over the sheet with the fileword, there will be an envelope with a new task. Or the symbol of a correctly completed task will light up on the screen, after which a new task will appear. The keyword is the name of each movie made up of highlighted letters.

Example:

  • "Only old men go to battle";
  • "Officers";
  • “The battalions are asking for fire”;
  • "Belorussky Railway Station";
  • Saving Private Ryan;
  • "Brest Fortress";
  • "They fought for the Motherland."

Keyword: HOLIDAY.

Task 3. Participants receive cards with photos of famous men - examples of masculinity and not only... For each card, you need to come up with one adjective that the ladies of the team gave this man in advance. Only one. And if it is guessed correctly, the participants receive a piece of the key card from the hands of the jury / master / assistant.

Example: Schwarzenegger is strong, Kozlovsky is sexy, Druz is smart, Shirvindt is ironic, etc. Of course, you can take someone from the team, men from the bosses, etc.

If everything is guessed correctly, the participants have all the fragments of the map in their hands and can move on. An office is drawn on the map and the next task is written, or the place where it is stored in the envelope is indicated (for example, the light bulb is shown on the window, near the flowerpot - there really is an envelope there).

Task 4. Each participant in turn is blindfolded. His task is to determine with his hands what lies in front of him on the table. One participant of the competition is removed for hints, and it turns out that they will not receive the key in full.

What objects can be thought of: binoculars, dumbbells, a flask, a cap, a bow tie (tie), a chess piece, a cigarette case, etc. For each guessed word, a letter opens on a special board (or on multimedia, if in digital format).

So the key word will gradually open: courage, courage or daredevils. It leads to the next task.

Task 5. A black box is taken out. It contains forfeits (folded sheets of paper with tasks). Each participant in the quest takes out one piece of paper. All assignments should really somehow relate to the theme of courage, but humorously.

Examples of tasks:

  • Speak a tongue twister 3 times;
  • remember the recipe for a popular salad;
  • tell a rule from the Russian language course (any, remember);
  • try to replay the boss's "peepers", etc.

As soon as the task is completed in full, all the participants have coped, one of them (or all at once) receives an SMS key. For example: “You almost found the treasure. The final spurt remains. It will be a matter of honor. "

And then whatman is issued with the text of the oath for the male half of the office.Participants will have to insert the missing words.

An example of an oath.

We vow to always be ________ and ________ at work. We swear to boldly meet ________ halfway, do not forget to pamper the beautiful half of ________ and ________ of all competitors. We vow to look always ________ and give up _______. Date, signature.

Naturally, any words will be considered correct. The funnier the better... The authorities (or the jury) carefully study the oath, put a stamp (real or cool) and issue a verdict. The secret unit, that is, the women of the collective, say thanks, congratulations and literally sing one chorus of a song hinting where the treasure is. For example: "Somewhere in this world." And men should see a white bear behind the blinds on the window or somewhere else, and next to the bear there is a box, a suitcase - any item containing gifts.

An interesting puzzle for the quest can be viewed in this video.
