A beautiful manicure is an essential attribute of a stylish, well-groomed woman. However, it so happens that after covering your nails with decorative varnish, you suddenly see that it begins to bubble. Then you have to refresh the manicure again. Let us dwell in more detail on the reasons why this happens.

Causes

Nail decor experts argue that even a not cheap well-known brand varnish can begin to bubble at any time, There are a number of reasons for this.

  • Shaking the bottle. Many women shake the bottle of varnish vertically, this causes air to enter it, which then leads to the appearance of ugly bubbles.
  • Water. If moisture has penetrated into the packaging with a decorative coating, it often causes bubbles to form on the surface.
  • By the way, wet hands can also be a common cause of blistering. If you washed your hands shortly before the manicure, then you should dry them as thoroughly as possible - the skin has the peculiarity of absorbing water, and after a while it begins to give it back. The same thing happens with the nail plates, an excessive amount of moisture causes an abundant appearance of air bubbles and significantly impairs the appearance of the coating.
  • Fat. If your nails were oily, then you will not get a good manicure, because the basis of any durable coating can only be carefully degreased nails. If this is not done, then there is a high probability that the varnish will lay down very badly and will bubble during drying.
  • Extra layers. Some women, in an attempt to get the desired shade of varnish, apply too many layers, this is contrary to the recommended technology.Ideally, any manicure should include one base coat, a couple of colored coats, and a fixer. If the number of decorative coatings is greater, especially if they have not been dried well enough, then the appearance of bubbles will be inevitable.
  • Incorrect technique. An illiterate coating technology can also cause the appearance of hateful bubbles. Keep in mind that the brush should fit snugly against the nail during staining, it should be held almost parallel to the plate so that the varnish is applied with light strokes from the very base to the end.
  • Defects of the nail plate. Any irregularities, cracks, bumps and peeling have a detrimental effect on the quality of the manicure. Filling such irregularities with varnish, the brush often leaves a lot of air and, as a result, all the same bubbles.
  • Low quality materials. You should not use old varnish - it belongs in your trash can, not your nails. With long-term storage, the liquid thickens and loses all its original properties, therefore it lays down very badly. If the varnish has thickened, it makes sense to dilute it with special liquids, but if the shelf life has completely expired, then the result of coating with such a composition, even diluted, will be very doubtful.

What if the varnish is bubbling?

So, we figured out the reasons. But what if you covered your nails and the varnish started to bubble? The only option is to wash off the coating and apply a new one. It is possible that when applying, you missed one of the aspects and when repeated, the manicure will be flawless. For example, you could not dry enough and degrease the marigolds well, or apply too many layers.

But there is an alternative option, it is good if you do not have time to renew the coating or the varnish has run out. Then stickers will save the situation - they can always be fixed exactly in those places where the varnish is bubbling too intensively. If you do not have such stickers at hand, then with a composition of a contrasting color you can depict a drawing, for example, chaotic abstract patterns with a wooden toothpick or a thin brush.

Even an amateur can cope with this task, and the manicure will turn out to be unusual, original and stylish.

How can bubbles be prevented?

So that you do not have to come up with options for masking unaesthetic bubbles, you just need to follow some simple guidelines.

  • Never shake varnish. If you want to warm it up a little, just roll it a little in your hands or dip it into a container of warm water.
  • Do not wash the brush in water after use. It is pointless, you will not be able to remove the remaining varnish with water, but the moisture will remain, will get into the bottle - the result of such an application will be the most deplorable.
  • It is better to purchase the base for manicure and the main tone from one manufacturer. Professionals note that many formulations of different brands are simply incompatible, which leads to varnish peeling, cracking, bubbling and other unpleasant consequences. If you don't have the base you want, apply the correct brand of colorless varnish instead.
  • You should not get carried away with drying the varnish with a hairdryer, as many women do. This quickly destroys the entire structure of the composition and causes bubbling of the surface. If you do not have the opportunity to waste time on natural drying of the surface - the best is to buy a special express drying, in which the coating hardens in literally a few seconds.
    • If you apply several layers of the main tone at once, then by all means dry each of them before applying the next one, only in this case your manicure will become aesthetic and durable.
    • Remember to sand your nails before applying the polish, especially if you have an uneven plate with pronounced spots and grooves. Usually a buff or a soft nail file is used for this.
    • Pay attention to the shelf life of the composition, even if you just bought it in the store, there is no guarantee that it has not been on the counter for several months. The old composition loses its characteristics, therefore it is not possible to obtain a high-quality coating.
    • You should not do a manicure immediately after taking a shower or bath, then the moisture simply will not have time to completely leave the nails, therefore air bubbles appear, and not right there, but a couple of hours after drying, when you can no longer correct the situation.
