Manicure "cat's eye" in blue shades
Neat and well-groomed hands are an integral part of a modern girl's bow. With the help of a manicure, you can cheer up, create a certain impression, emphasize or complement any detail of the image, add zest.
What it is?
Modern designers to create intrigue in the image suggest to design nails in the style of "cat's eye". This name speaks for itself, as it comes from the semi-precious stone of the same name. Its appearance, with its depth and unique tints, closely resembles the eyes of a feline.
Colors
This type of manicure looks best in dark colors. One of the most suitable colors for this style is blue and its light shades.
Any of the blue tones goes well with the entire cold range., with green and shades of yellow. In addition, silver and gold decor, various rhinestones and foil stand out favorably against its background.
How to do it?
There are several ways to carry out this type of coating at home: using a gel polish with metal particles and using a standard magnetic varnish.
Whichever option is used, the usual nail treatment is done first. To do this, you need to remove the old coating. Then carefully remove the cuticles and file the tips of the nails with a file. This type of manicure can be combined with any form.
Gel polish
First, a base is applied to protect the nail plate from damage. When processing, do not forget about the end part of the nail. Then the coating must be thoroughly dried under ultraviolet light.
The first layer of gel polish is applied, taking into account the desired effect, either in a basic tone, or in one that will be reflected in the depth of the nail. At this stage, magnet treatment is optional. It all depends on the desired result and is determined experimentally.
Then this layer is also dried under a lamp, but the drying time is kept a little longer than at the beginning. It will be enough to add one minute.
Next, apply the main shade, which must be magnetized. This procedure is performed for 5-10 seconds on each nail. The optimum distance between the magnet and the work surface is 5 mm.
This layer is also placed under the lamp for 2-3 minutes, followed by the application of a top-coat fixing coat. It is dried longer than the rest of the layers - up to 4 minutes.
The last step is to remove the sticky layer with a clinser.
Magnetic varnish
This method is much faster and easier, but the coating itself will hold for less time. To begin with, as in the previous method, a base is applied. Then the surface is covered with magnetic varnish in one or several layers, depending on the desired color intensity.
It must be remembered that this varnish dries very quickly. Therefore, after applying the base color to the nail, the "magnet" must be used immediately. Adequate exposure time is about 30 seconds.
And the manicure ends with a top coat, which must be allowed to dry completely.
Design options
It should be noted right away that the "magnet" provides a large field for activity when creating glare patterns. The direction and shape of the "cat's eye" on the nail depends entirely on the type of magnetic varnish. It can be moved slightly above the surface to create a blurry effect.
A highlight against a blue or light blue hue can be positioned along, across, obliquely or along the edge of the nail plate. Further, the composition can be decorated with rhinestones or a pattern.
Another option for creating different patterns is the magnetic pen. The thinness helps create bizarre streaks and lines with the magnetic particles themselves. But this option is more suitable for gel polish, since ordinary polish dries quickly.
This design can be combined with other directions of nail art. An excellent tandem "cat's eye" creates a lunar and openwork style. In addition, this decor looks good in a matte finish.
Any variation of the feline style will add individuality and mystery to the image.
