Ideas for a "delicious" manicure with sweets
Nowadays, not only elegant nail designs are in vogue, but also carefree, fun decorative elements. Manicure with sweets is one such trend. Thanks to him, a sweet tooth can be seen from afar, and the owner of such a manicure gets the opportunity to plunge into childhood dreams and constantly remember the joys of life, looking at her nails.
Drawing, stickers or modeling?
The choice of sweets is now huge - you can choose for every taste and color, or even come up with an image of something original. But regardless of the chosen design, a dilemma arises - how to implement it? There are three main options:
- draw yourself;
- buy special stickers;
- sculpt from acrylic or polymer clay.
In the first case, you will need a thin brush. You can take a piece of paper and practice on it. At the same time, it will be clear how suitable the invented drawing will be.
Stickers can be purchased at specialized craft stores or ordered online. Sometimes these stickers are found in regular office supplies as well. If you have chosen them, then be sure to stock up on transparent varnish, which you will need to cover the stickers with. This will help them stay on their nails much longer.
Modeling among the known methods is the most difficult option. Think in advance what and how you want to portray, and then blind them, trying on the nail. You will most likely need a UV lamp or oven to cure the resulting product. After that, you need to stick what you got on the base layer of the manicure.
This application has the longest service life.Even when the nails go bad, they can be carefully peeled off and then used a second time or left for another suitable occasion.
However, moldings are easy to lose if they have parts to catch on - they will simply come off and get lost.
Candy, M & M's, lollipops
Candy manicure is trendy and fun. The famous M & M's are consistently popular for their perky, vibrant colors and ease of implementation in the form of a manicure. The most basic option assumes that you just paint your nails with glossy varnish, and then paint the letter "m" in white. But some people prefer more complex options - for example, draw advertising characters in full clothes or a mixture of candies on one nail plate.
You can draw lollipops or traditional candies, or you can sculpt them into stickers. Striped sweets will be especially relevant for the New Year. Caramel can also be supplemented with painted Christmas balls, Christmas trees or snowflakes. And also an interesting option with colored candy "cereal", which is often used in baked goods (for example, Easter cakes) - this sprinkling of nails looks very original. You can also reproduce on the nails the now popular caramel apples.
Cake and ice cream
When portraying traditional cakes or ice cream, do not forget that they can be complemented in a non-standard way. Take loose large sequins, tiny beads, or small chips made from pebbles and polymer clay. With their help, you can easily make a powder - chocolate, pink berry or some fancy one. Another great option is pearl balls, which will look cute among white "cream" and pastel colors.
In addition, you can play the ice cream theme in an interesting way. For example, do a manicure with drips of melted cream. It can even be done in different colors, because ice cream is now very different, sometimes even black or green.
Another simple option for ice cream is to draw a waffle cone on a nail plate, and depict ice cream with white varnish along its edge. Long and narrowed nails can also be painted like a waffle cone, it will look very unusual. And making a twisted, creamy ice cream top is easy - just take a gel polish and apply a thick layer of strips, placing them diagonally parallel to each other.
Donuts and muffins
Starting from the ice cream idea, you can depict the same with other sweets. Small beads, pearls, rhinestones - all this will suit perfectly here. With their help, you can decorate donuts and muffins that you draw or dazzle.
However, do not get carried away too much - moderation is in fashion. So don't go overboard with glittery accessories when creating your look.
Fruit and chocolate
Who doesn't love chocolate bars, candy or chocolate covered fruits. If you have already tried a manicure with polymer clay slices, then you are well aware of the most popular of them - in the form of oranges, kiwi, strawberries and other vegetable and fruit crops. It will be original if you use them, not just sticking on your nails. Add an imitation of spilled chocolate or chocolate shell on top with brown varnish. For this, glossy and matte varnishes are well suited, respectively.
As with a waffle cone, chocolate manicure can be done in the form of a painted or molded chocolate bar. And glued silver or gold foil will ideally depict a wrapper from a chocolate bar.
You can go another way, choosing an insanely beautiful and elegant manicure option. For it you will need chocolate varnish, light varnish and a thin stick or needle. Gel polish is ideal for this, because it has a semi-liquid consistency and it hardens for a very long time, so you can take your time with drawing. The essence of the method is to apply stripes and dots in different colors, and then mix them with a needle.This way, you get beautiful streaks that resemble melted chocolate.
Strawberry with cream
Variations with strawberries and cream are a long-standing theme that has already become a classic. White and red streaks can be depicted, as described above, with gel polish. Or you can draw a strawberry with white cream around.
You can also use polymer clay slices - they are easy to find in the form of strawberries in stores. And dilute the nails with slices with separate nails with a monochromatic varnish. In any case, the combination of white cream and red strawberries will be very effective.
Marmalade and marshmallows
In order to depict marshmallows on your nails, take a white or pale pink varnish. And it must be matte! You can draw individual pieces of this delicacy with this varnish, having previously applied the base to the nails with brown varnish. Brown - because in color it will resemble coffee or cocoa, which is now very popular to add marshmallows.
To make a "gummy" manicure, take a translucent red, green or yellow varnish, apply it to your nails. And before the varnish dries, sprinkle it with transparent artificial crumbs that look like sugar. The result is a traditional sugar-coated marmalade.
You can also make your nails two-tone, thereby repeating the middle of the gummy worms. And gummy bears will be well recognizable. They can also be simply painted on - best with translucent varnishes. Or you can make voluminous bears out of the gel that are as similar to the original as possible. A special gel, from which they are easy to make, is sold in specialized stores. You can buy ready-made rubber copies of gummy bears and stick them on your nails.
