All about drawings on nails with acrylic paints
Every girl dreams of beautiful, well-groomed nails, of a stunning manicure. In the modern world, there are many techniques for creating an interesting and sophisticated design.
One of these techniques is painting with acrylic paints.
Peculiarities
Artistic acrylic paints appeared on the market not so long ago. But the popularization and adaptation took place rapidly, because acrylic paints have much more advantages than other materials.
One such tube contains several components that give the material excellent qualities.
- Water. Due to the fact that one of the components is water, when applying paint to a brush, it does not need to be additionally moistened.
- Concentrated pigment. The pigment is what gives the color. To make the color more saturated, there should be a lot of pigment in the paint. Due to its structure, the pigment can settle at the bottom of the jar, so the contents of the jar must always be mixed before use. For paints in tubes, this can be omitted.
- High viscosity acrylic resin. This is the component due to which the paint hardens in a matter of minutes and does not need additional processing or drying.
By its texture it can be transparent, translucent, pasty and with a high level of pigment, which completely overlaps the previous layer.
Acrylic is versatile and unpretentious, because you can work with it anywhere and with any texture. It fits perfectly on cardboard, paper, glass, fabric, wood, concrete and even nails.
Acrylic paints give interesting and rich colors, they mix quite easily with each other, while not turning into a kind of gray mess, they dry quickly and are economical.
One of the advantages is that these paints do not dissolve under the influence of a new layer. They are not afraid of water and do not mix.
Acrylic is applied to both natural and artificial nails, so everyone chooses this paint.
It is easy to work with it for those who have just discovered the boundless world of nail art, as well as for veterans of this business, because the number of colors, various lines and availability do their job. Acrylic occupies a leading position in the market among all paints.
It should be noted that in terms of its density, the paint is also divided into two types: thick and liquid. The thick paint is sold in small cans and is semi-solid in consistency and does not contain water.
Therefore, before work, the brush must always be moistened with water, otherwise the pigment will not be taken, but only oil will be taken.
Liquid paint is sold in tubes of different sizes, does not require any special preparation before work. All the necessary components are already in the paint itself, so the product is immediately ready for use. Due to its liquid state, it mixes easily with other flowers, and due to the oil base it does not turn into a gray porridge.
The advantages over thick paints are that the tube paints are ready to use right away. You can buy them individually. Acrylic has a wider palette of colors.
Painting techniques
Among the fair sex, nail art is in great demand, because it is original, unusual and always interesting. Among a number of different techniques, drawings with acrylic paints are especially popular, because they are resistant to moisture, do not fade in the sun, do not peel off over time, and do not darken under the influence of the external environment.
Before using acrylic paints, you should know that they do not tolerate low temperatures at all - they freeze in the cold, and then there is a possibility of peeling.
Oil
One of the ingredients in acrylic paint is oil. Thanks to this, the brush will easily glide over the nail plate, allowing you to paint, create volumetric drawings or simply use the technique with strokes.
Pastose
The peculiarity of this technique is that the paint must be applied to the nail, without diluting it in any way before applying. The layers should be dense, opaque. The final result should resemble dried gouache.
The advantage of acrylic is the fact that it will not crack after drying and will not fade.
Watercolor
From ordinary acrylic paint, you can get a kind of watercolor. To do this, before use, the required amount of paint must be applied to the palette, add water and an acrylic-based binder (this is an acrylic dispersion, which is prepared on the basis of acrylic resin). The advantages over watercolors are that acrylic will not wash off with water and can be easily applied to subsequent layers without thinking about the previous one, which may be disturbed. But there are times when the layer applied with acrylic paint dries out too quickly - sometimes this is not always the case.
Glaze
One of the most beautiful techniques for working with acrylic paints is the glazing technique. It lies in the fact that it is necessary to carefully and consistently apply translucent layers of paint after the previous layer has dried. The main task of this method is considered to be the need to obtain complex colors by applying lighter and lighter tones to each other. This technique must be performed correctly, slowly, and be sure to wait for the previous layer to dry.
In nail art, this technique is used to create the background of the main part of the picture or to decorate a jacket.
Sliding
Another difficult way to apply a picture using acrylic paint is sliding. This method consists in mixing paint with gel. The gel will primarily dilute the base color. After the drawing is applied, the gel dries and becomes transparent, and the pigment itself opens up from the brighter side and becomes saturated.
Drawings
Many ladies try to paint on their own with acrylics at home and use step-by-step instructions to create a particular drawing. Usually, the lightest and most uncomplicated drawings are taken for testing, since their implementation does not take too long. The result becomes visible after just a few strokes.
Leopard style
This is a completely uncomplicated drawing and quite simple to execute. Suitable for any nail shape and length.
At the first stage, you need to choose the color that you like best and that suits your mood. It must be applied to all nails and allowed to dry. Then you need to choose from a palette of acrylic paints those colors that are most suitable for the selected varnish, and dots to make dots in a chaotic manner.
For a deeper color of the points, use a thin brush with black paint to trace the outline of each point.
After the acrylic is dry, you need to cover the entire drawing with colorless varnish to fix it. The manicure is ready.
"Butterfly"
This drawing is one of the most beloved among admirers of nail art. It is painted with different techniques, but the result is always excellent. "Butterfly" can be used as an addition to a jacket or moon manicure, or create a kind of summer composition.
First of all, you need to decide on the design and style., in which the entire manicure will be performed. When this issue is closed, you need to apply the necessary varnish to your nails and wait for it to dry completely. The butterfly can be painted with any acrylic paint available.
In order to draw a butterfly, you do not need to have an art school diploma. It's simple - you need to apply paint to the selected nail with a brush, drawing four petals. They should be placed not too close to each other and not too far.
An oblong oval should be drawn between the petals - this will be the body of the butterfly. The petals, which are wings, should be decorated in a free technique in circles or stripes. Then you need to draw the antennae and wait until it dries completely, then apply a top coat on top.
