If you are going to decorate your fingernails in a summer theme, you need to take into account several nuances of the design mood. You need to understand that in this case, not only the colors of the base will be important, but first of all the shape of the nail plate, since the drawing on it should look beautiful. Therefore, you will have to take into account not only the nuances of drawing, but also the size of the dragonfly, since it must fit almost completely on the nail.

If the nail plates are short, you will have to decorate them with very small drawings. In this case, it is worth paying attention to the shape of the saw cut: dragonflies look better when the upper edge of the nail is more rounded. Straight cuts or a sharp nail shape will not change the perception of the pattern for the better. On long and sharp nails, the pattern will wrap around the sides. Some masters, in addition to a brush, prefer to use special manicure pens, because they believe that they are more economical and easy to work with. To make the design more interesting and realistic, you can take several related tones for the wings or prepare a palette of foil for mixing paints.

In the middle of the nail, a point is put in a mint color, which will be a guideline for the work. A straight line is drawn up and down through it - the future body of a dragonfly. The abdomen, which runs from above, is made thicker, giving it a slightly rectangular shape. The lower tail is painted over with turquoise paint. In this case, the tail should taper downward.

Having typed brown pigment, two uneven circles are drawn on top, which will be the eyes of a dragonfly. To make your eyes look voluminous, you can add a little black paint to the middle of the circles and slightly shade it. To make the wings appear more airy, you can use shimmer gel polish or glitter coating in your work. On each side of the insect's body, draw two elongated wings.

To prevent the paints from joining during further drawing, the base can be dried in a lamp. Then you need to arm yourself with black paint, a thin brush and start outlining the contours of the wings and the body.You don't need to outline your eyes, this will simplify the design. A dot is put between them - this will be the proboscis.

When the dragonfly is outlined, you need to draw some lines on the wings, giving them a more realistic look. After that, you need to draw the paws, doing this with intermittent brush movements. Two of the legs will be located on top on either side of the eyes, the two lower ones will go from the end of the body. The body itself must be divided into two parts with an arched line using sulfur paint.

Taking some blue paint, the dragonfly is given volume. She emphasizes the body, as well as the wings and tail. It is important not to overdo it with blue, so as not to obscure the tones of the base of the picture. After the drawing is over, the drawing is dried in a lamp and sealed with a layer of topcoat with mandatory drying.

Since rhinestones today allow you to add elegance to many types of designs, you can use them for hand painting. If they are not there, glitter, broths (microscopic beads) or even kamifubuki are great alternatives.

The decor will have to be glued to the top layer applied, but has not yet been in the lamp. You can start by placing tiny rhinestones or sequins along the edges of the upper and lower wings. It is preferable to take the colors in the range related to the wings.

Further, it is better to create the effect of glare, for which you can glue broths on the proboscis or the edges of the wings. The abdomen can be decorated with two rhinestones, and to make it look more interesting, it is better to choose rhinestones of different sizes.

Volumetric decor will cling to everything. This can cause it to split off from the base. To prolong the wear of the manicure and strengthen it, you can cover the finished design with a top without a sticky layer. But at the same time, you cannot cover the shiny decor, overlapping it layer by layer. This will reduce the shine, and the design itself will look worse.

In this case, you need to try to apply the material so that it does not go beyond the glued decor. In the future, the nail with the decor is also covered with a top layer and dried in a lamp. By this technique, you can make drawings of different types. By the way, the gel can replace rhinestones, while the wings will look voluminous and beautiful.

A dragonfly manicure can be done using different design techniques.

For example, it looks great on a solid accent finger, when all others are painted in a jacket or a variant with holes. In this case, the wells can be painted with white gel polish, like the base of the accent nail plate itself. To more effectively, but discreetly emphasize the design of all nails, you can separate the pigment and white holes with an unpainted bow.

This technique is essentially a negative space technique in which some part of the nail is stained with a clear coat only. Made in gentle pastel colors, it will look incredibly delicate and sophisticated.

A dragonfly can look gorgeous as an accent in a gradient design. However, in order for it to stand out against the background of smooth stretch marks of different shades, it is better to use in the work not contrasting, but related tones of the same color, chosen for all marigolds in addition to the accent.

To give this base a more interesting effect, you can lightly dust them with a beetle effect rub. However, it is better not to subject a nail with a print to such processing.

For example, it can be a velvety base or an option for satin, as well as suede. If you don't have matte varnish at home, a matte top will do.

Decorating nails with a dragonfly can look no less stylish if you use acrylic powder for decorating. At the same time, it can be used both for a monochromatic coating and for creating a three-dimensional pattern.
