Mantra of White Tara: meaning and rules of use
Tara in Buddhism is the image of a woman-Bodhisattva, a perfect female being who received liberation, but did not go into nirvana, compassion for people. The goddess of wisdom Tara exists in several forms: White, Green, Black and Red. This article will focus on the essence of White Tara.
Meaning
The interpretation of the name is "star", and the goddess actually serves as a guide for sailors and wanderers... Tara helps to avoid dangers and obstacles, be it travel, everyday affairs or the spiritual path. The symbol of White Tara is a blooming lotus. The goddess sits in padmasana (lotus position) on a throne of the same flowers, adorned with a crown. She is wearing light silk robes. A glow emanates from an almost transparent body. She folded her right hand on her knee with a gesture of bestowing blessings - varada mudra. The left hand gestures to preach a wise teaching and squeezes a blue inflorescence (Utpalu lotus). The goddess has seven eyes, one of which is located on the forehead, like a vigilant mind. Her every look reflects compassion.
Tibetans believe that White Tara had an earthly incarnation in the guise of a Nepalese princess named Bhrikuti, who was married to the Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo. She took a vow of compassion and support for all those who suffer until Samsara is empty. By her example, the princess showed that everyone has a chance of Higher Enlightenment. Bhrikuti walked the path of Enlightenment until she reached the highest point of destination. She dreamed of becoming the embodiment of Buddha in a female form in the name of supporting all those in need of help.
All previous incarnations of Buddha were only in a male body. Since then, he has been reborn in a female form.
It is customary to turn to Tara, relying on the help of her divine power in critical and, at first glance, hopeless moments of life, because she is the one who will respond faster and more willingly than others. This is the greatest personification of wisdom, protecting from all kinds of misfortunes. Her love resembles that of a mother. The goddess guides you on the right path and does not let you go astray.
Since fate periodically prepares people for new difficulties, the nervous system fails, stress begins. Turning to Buddha in the guise of White Tara helps to walk your path easily and with dignity. In the next lives Tara relieves painful rebirth... The image of the divine essence is considered a powerful talisman. It is often and gladly depicted by artists, because such art is also a kind of path towards enlightenment.
