In addition, this is the actual furniture for a small apartment. Let's take a closer look at modular transforming sofas.

First, you need to decide what modular furniture is. The modular version differs from the usual sofa in the ability of the owner to independently set the parameters, configuration and appearance of the model. Such furniture consists of several parts that can be placed along the walls, bend lines, and arranged in the most unusual form.

Additional sections allow you to adjust the size of the sofa depending on the circumstances. It is also possible to update the design, therefore a modular sofa is preferred by people who cannot stand boredom and monotony in the interior.

When composing elements, the owner can take into account the location of the sofa. For example, if you need to assemble it for the living room, then a soft zone and sections for decor are enough. When updating a bedroom, a sofa can consist of a seating area and a section for linen. If the structure is assembled for the kitchen, then it often includes armchairs and an additional storage system.

• Retractable. This design consists of three parts, which form a sleeping place and rests on special legs.

The modular transforming sofa has a rather restrained and laconic design, so it can only fit into modern styles. If the apartment is made in country, classic, retro or vintage styles, then the buyer should refuse modular furniture.

The most suitable styles for the location of the modular transformer - minimalism, hi-tech, modern or eclectic... When designing a minimalistic design, select items in gray, black or white and take into account the severity of the forms. If the room is made in a high-tech style, then a design with unusual module shapes is more suitable. For eclecticism, a multi-colored transforming sofa will be more appropriate.

If you pick up a rough textured upholstery in gray, green or brown, then such a product can be placed in the Scandinavian style. The use of the avant-garde style is also allowed, but the sofa should be leather and include bright pillows.

• For increased structural stability try to choose models with additional mounts. Usually these are Velcro or straps that securely hold the modules and, if necessary, can be easily unfastened.
• Modular sofas can be made of plywood, metal or chipboard. If you need a budget model, then choose the latter option. More durable pieces are made on a metal or plywood base.
• If you want the upholstery to last as long as possible, then give preference to samples made of genuine leather... Italian models are especially reliable. This is a rather expensive elite option, but it will also last for several decades.
