Side tables to the sofa

He usually does not go beyond his role: this is an addition to furniture, in a sense even an accessory, nothing more. It can be attached to a sofa, bed, and even a dining table. (then it becomes a serving table).

Although to say that this is a purely practical thing in an apartment would also be wrong. It is possible that just such a table will become a bright spot in the interior. For example, in a monochrome space, where you need a couple of bright self-sufficient accents, a raspberry and lemon table will come in handy.

There are a lot of variations of such designs. For example, a coffee table may well be an extension. He stands next to the sofa and in a certain sense serves him.For such a furniture composition to look harmonious, it is not at all necessary to select items from one set. You can combine things from different eras, you can not observe the coincidence in colors and at the same time create cozy, atmospheric combinations. Today, interior fashion is generous and blesses everyone to experiment in favor of individuality.

Side table options.

• Sliding. If you move it to the sofa, they become one. Outside the sofa, such a table can look scanty and be completely invisible in the interior.

• Roll-up / roll-out. Technically, such a table is associated with the sofa and is most likely part of it, which is provided by the package.

• Folding... This table more than others may resemble a console, but only when folded. When unfolded, it can become a full-fledged coffee or coffee table. A folding table is convenient in small apartments.

• Stand table. This is the name given to devices that look like a tray with legs. On such a table, you can have breakfast without getting up from the sofa or bed; some variants of such an accessory are used as a stand for a computer.

The legs of the table are different - high and low, wide and narrow, in the form of rollers or stable supports. Most often there are 4 legs, but it may well be only 2.

If you are looking for a budget and affordable option, this would be a table from chipboard or MDF. Such options are inexpensive, easy to maintain, and fit perfectly into the interior. Rarer materials include glass and metal. A metal accessory can look alien in space, if, according to the concept, such material should not be in it.

Are not excluded in a modern interior and plastic tables. They, of course, are not so popular, but in some cases they help out. There are, on the contrary, expensive models, made from array.

Almost all designs are compact in size. The very purpose of the model is to take up less space. If you need to save space, then the side furniture does it well. Dimensions do not have clear standards. If the table is included with the sofa, it adjusts to its height.

If you make the structure yourself, then you also set such parameters so that in relation to the sofa it is a very comfortable model.

Its boundaries depend only on the preferences of the buyer. Demanded options:

• "under the tree" - such tables can be in harmony with the flooring, with wooden furniture in the room;
• White - if you have white walls or a white floor, or maybe most of the furniture in the interior is white, the question of what color the table will be has one obvious answer;
• red, crimson - an option for lovers of bright accents, especially if the interior itself asks for color spots;
• pastel shades - fit into the same space, devoid of clear transitions and contrasts;
• multicolorede - why not decorate the house with a colorful table, or maybe it will have a beautiful pattern, ornament that echoes with other interior elements.

The choice of such an interior accessory depends on several criteria at once. Each of them deserves consideration.

Decide what the main function of the table will be. If you take it for the tea ritual on the sofa watching the TV, please note that the size of the model should comfortably accommodate a cup and plate of sandwiches. And if you do not need to drink tea at such a table alone, its size increases.

If you're purchasing a laptop model, don't go for tabletops that are too narrow or too small. A laptop will fit on them, but there may not be room for a mouse or an attached keyboard. A side table for food is often coffee, low, square, which is more comfortable if you sit on the floor.

It must be reliable. Those options in which the tabletop lies directly on the armrest, perhaps, can be considered the most practical. They are stable, take up a minimum of space, look very organic in collaboration with a sofa... If the table is roll-out (or, in principle, is an addition to the sofa that comes with it), its fastening mechanism is reliable and durable. Most tables do without any fixing.

Even if you initially purchased exclusively a laptop table, it is possible that during operation you will endow it with additional functions.

At such a table you can:

• to drink tea;
• have snacks;
• make handwritten notes on documents;
• draw, sketch;
• fix something small;
• do needlework;
• play boardgames;
• do a manicure, etc.

Before buying a structure, remember everything that you do while sitting on the couch and that requires such a functional tabletop. Or think about what you would like to do while sitting on the couch, but without an extension module, you are not doing it yet.

• Wonderful, cozy, compact table with a drawer. You can hide pens and pencils, notebooks, handicrafts there. This is a combined version: a wooden base on strict black metal legs.

• The same case when the table top covers the armrests. Good dimensions, excellent color matching do not overload the space and fit the model perfectly into it. It is possible that the second armrest has the same table.

• And here is the cantilever construction of a strict form, expected colors. It is attached to one of the armrests and is used as a place for books and a lamp. Do not place the table close to the sofa, leave a small distance between them.

• Attachable design on castors. This is the most mobile option that can serve not only a sofa. Books and magazines are stored on the lower countertop. Color can be combined with any piece of furniture, or it can be a self-sufficient thing.

• A good example of how you can work at a computer while sitting on the couch. Right, you can't count on a long pastime, yet it's not very convenient. But for viewing mail and monitoring social networks, this is a suitable option.

• Interesting design... Such models are actively made to order today. They correspond to the slogan "everything is at hand". You can leave your tablet, phone, remote control in the pockets.

• A full-fledged furniture element that can look weighty and solid in the interior... But if you put such a table in a small room, you may not wait for the desired effect.

• A very nice little table, a real tray with legs. Very often, such models perform a purely decorative function, although you can also drink tea with a delicious cake with it.

• And this is a serving table, but it can be used in other directions as well.... Store on its shelves everything you often need and often cannot find.

• Decorative attachment structure, which, rather, resembles a coffee table.
