You probably know what meditation is. Heard that there are many different ways of meditation. But maybe you don't know yet that there is a meditation that came to us from the distant Hawaiian Islands, which has its own, different from other techniques, features and focus.

Features and effectiveness of meditation

Hooponopono is the name of a meditation method that originated in ancient times among Hawaiian shamans. It is intended to increase the level of harmonization that changes life for the better, for self-purification and purification of situations in relations with the outside world. Translated into Russian, "hooponopono" means "to correct a mistake", "to do everything right." This meditation was made famous by the psychotherapist Ihaliakala Hugh Lin and the writer Joe Vitale.... The Hawaiian shaman Morrna Nalamak Simeon dedicated Dr. Lin to all the subtleties of Hooponopono, and Joe Vitale wrote a book about this called Life Without Limits.

Human consciousness is a program created from memories that accumulate in people generation after generation. Thoughts, feelings, reactions, actions - all of this is modeled by our genetic memory, and it is this memory that influences one or another of our behavior. Accordingly, the roots of all our problems that we face in our life also go to these memories, which laid in us a certain program of perception of the world. This concept of understanding human problems is at the heart of Hooponopono meditation.

This technique helps to get rid of negative programs of consciousness and subconsciousness, to cleanse the mind and soul, to allow them to be filled with calmness, harmony and joy. Many people dream of starting life from scratch. Hawaiian meditation is a great opportunity for this.According to Hawaiian shamans, the world begins with each individual person. Each of us is a part of the Universe, therefore we are responsible for everything that happens in it. We can influence everything that happens around our thoughts, since thought underlies the entire human world.

We have been given the opportunity to change everything for the better or for the worse. And when we want to make life better, then we must first of all change within ourselves, in thoughts, within our consciousness.

Both good and bad are nothing more than the result of our thoughts and feelings, which, in turn, can be an echo, a reflection of the emotions and moods of all previous generations. We are responsible for everything that happens, but we cannot know everything, and not everything is amenable to our control. Therefore, when many difficulties and questions arise, and it seems that there are no answers, and there is no gap in life either, you need to turn to the Universe, it will definitely hear - and the answers will come.

How does this happen according to the Hooponopono method? The person is invited to plunge into his inner world and start working with four simple affirmations:

  • "I am sorry" (or "I am very sorry", "I am sorry");
  • "Please forgive me";
  • "I thank you";
  • "I love you".

First of all, Hooponopono suggests turning your mind to the realization that you are the whole world. Therefore, all the people who live on Earth are you too, and everything that happens in the world is you too. You are responsible for your life and what happens in it, as well as for everything and everyone around you. Having realized this responsibility, you must accept it and sincerely repent of bad thoughts, actions, and deeds. For this, the phrases "I repent", "I am sorry", "I am very sorry" are used. They purify consciousness and subconsciousness through repentance, through a sincere understanding that you behaved incorrectly, and this ultimately led to problems.

Sincerely repenting, you must move on to forgiveness. You must forgive, and you yourself must forgive. The phrase “forgive me, please” will help to relieve the oppressive burden of guilt. At the same time, it is important to stop blaming someone or something for your problems. Remember your personal responsibility for everything. And if someone offended you, humiliated, caused pain and suffering, forgive this person in your mind, let go of resentment and anger, make peace with the offender in your thoughts.

The next step is to move on to gratitude. Thank everyone and for everything. Life is because you have it. Your body - because it allows you to stay in this world. Your health is for strength and energy. Your home - for giving you shelter. Your work - for the opportunity to be in abundance. Your family and friends - because they are next to you, love and give their time and attention, support and help. People tend to notice more bad things and shortcomings, criticize and judge, and this gives rise to more and more new problems and negativity. The phrase "I thank you" makes it clear that you accept everything the way it is.

And the logical conclusion of the step-by-step work over the purification of consciousness and subconsciousness from negative programs, blockages and attitudes is the phrase "I love you." All the bad things that you experience for yourself, for other people, for different situations, will free you thanks to love.

These affirmations contain a powerful force and energy, especially in the phrases “I love you” and “I thank you” - they are a kind of beginning of all beginnings and, of course, the Universe will certainly hear and respond to you in return.

Execution technique

If you want to start practicing this way of clearing your consciousness from negativity and life from problems, then the first thing to do is to sincerely believe in its effectiveness. Then tune in, take the time and get started. You will need 20-30 minutes for privacy and a meditation session. For this time, turn off and put aside everything that can distract your attention and knock your mood (phones, tablets, laptops, computers, TVs, watches, etc.).Eliminate any noise such as close the door and window. The only thing that can be turned on is quiet relaxing music or sounds of nature.

  1. Take a comfortable position, sit in such a position that you can be in it throughout the session. With your back straight and your eyes closed, inhale calmly through your nose and exhale through your mouth as well. Set up your breath to work for your benefit. You should feel comfortable and relaxed. Consciousness should be cleared of unnecessary thoughts and be ready for purposeful work with affirmations.
  2. Imagine the object at which you want to direct your words. It can be you yourself or some person with whom you would like to resolve internal contradictions, get rid of resentments against him or ask for forgiveness for the wrongs inflicted on him. Or you can imagine a situation or problem that is plaguing you.
  3. After the image is formed in your mind, start a conversation with them using these affirmations. Try to direct all your energy through them to this object. Repeat the phrases continuously throughout the meditation time.

Each individual meditation session should focus on one problem. For example, if you think that some troubles have arisen in your life due to complexes, dislike for yourself and your body, you want to work out a relationship with yourself, then devote all the allotted time to an internal conversation aimed at correcting this problem. Imagine your body in your mind and tell it: “I regret that I treated you badly. I'm sorry I didn't love you. I am very sorry that I hurt (a) and insulted (a) you. I apologize to you. Please forgive me. I am very grateful to you for being there, for giving me the opportunity to live, for working tirelessly. Thank you. I very love you. I love you the way you are. " Repeat this monologue for 20-30 minutes. Thus, you can mentally talk with any problem and person.

End the session by inhaling and exhaling deeply several times, then open your eyes and return to reality.

The deeper you plunge into your consciousness, the more you can relax, the more you can concentrate on the object, the better the result will be.

Tips for beginners

For those who have recently started mastering this technique or are just about to start, it is important to know that not everything can work out right away. The main thing is to believe and not back down. Each new session will turn out to be carried out better and more efficiently.

If you suddenly feel pain and suffering from a situation that is scrolling in your head, if tears come pouring in, do not stop this natural impulse.... Let everything that has accumulated in you come out through these emotions. This is the process of cleansing and renewal, replacing negative with positive. And it is important to exclude feelings of sadness, melancholy, despair and aggression during the session. Not only will they not let the cleansing affirmations work, but, on the contrary, they will harm, immerse you even more into a negative state. It is not necessary to repeat the affirmations in the exact order that we have described. It is important that each of them be allocated at least 3-5 minutes of the total meditation time.

Remember, the responsibility for everything in this world lies with each of the people and you too. But you can only answer for yourself, and you can only change yourself. And this is the way to change the world.
