How to make handmade soap for the New Year?
It is especially pleasant to receive gifts for the New Year when they are handmade. Handmade soap in the shape of Santa Claus, Christmas tree or New Year's toys will be a great festive present. It is not difficult to create such a gift. The main thing is to purchase the necessary set of components and various molds.
Advantages
Homemade soap is a beautiful and much needed gift. He will appeal not only to relatives, but also to colleagues at work. The advantages of such a presentation include the following features.
- Uniqueness... Handmade Christmas soap figurines have a high value and differ from factory products. Each product is unique and has no analogues.
- Versatility... Soap is used in everyday life. Therefore, such a gift will not only decorate the restroom, but will also be used for its intended purpose. Plus, enjoying a pretty herringbone or snowman-shaped soap is much more enjoyable than a standard rectangular soap.
- Environmental friendliness... Household chemicals that are used in manufacturing may contain harmful components. Handmade soap is created entirely from natural ingredients.
- Individuality... When creating a New Year's gift from soap, you take into account all the preferences of the person who will receive it.
You will have the opportunity to create a "soapy" figurine with a specific flavor and shade.
Ideas
Naturally, making soap with your own hands for the New Year is necessary in the "winter" theme. Before you start creating an original gift, pay attention to the options presented. So, soap figures can be made in different shapes.
- Christmas trees... The classic version, which implies a different color (from traditionally green to creative pink). In addition, the "soapy" tree can be made smart (decorate with toys and a garland).
- Santa Claus. The main symbol of the New Year will undoubtedly delight everyone - “young and old”. The bearded wizard can be with a bag of gifts or in a harness with deer. Everything will depend on your imagination.
- Snowman... Such a soap figurine will perfectly decorate the bathroom and add a festive mood.
- Ball... Christmas decorations always evoke the most positive emotions. You can create them from soap in different colors.
- Snowflakes... The original version will be red or blue figures.
- Symbol of the year... An excellent option for a gift would be "soap" animals, which are a symbol of the coming year.
In addition, handmade soap can become the personification of a person's hobby. For example, a friend who is fond of sewing can be given a present in the shape of a button.
What do you need?
In order to create a beautiful Christmas soap figurine, you will need:
- soap base (white or transparent);
- dyes;
- a set of molds;
- fragrances or essential oil;
- alcohol.
Note that in no case should you take perfume as a flavoring agent. This type of soap can cause an allergic reaction and make it smell too harsh. Use essential oils. For Christmas figurines, a light scent of lemon, ginger, juniper or lavender is suitable.
Master Class
To make a "soapy" Santa Claus, we take:
- transparent base;
- dyes (red and white);
- flavoring;
- base oil;
- mother-of-pearl powder;
- acrylic paints;
- a set of brushes;
- pipette;
- alcohol;
- silicone mold.
Melt the soap base in a water bath or using a microwave. We divide it into two parts. Add red dye, a teaspoon of base oil and flavor to the container with the first liquid. Paint the second part white and use the same ingredients. We take a silicone mold in the form of Santa Claus and fill its bottom with a white soap base. Let it freeze. Next, cover its surface with alcohol and, using a pipette, fill in the “fur coat”, “hat” and “boots” of the figurine with a red base.
When Santa Claus from soap hardens, cover it with mother-of-pearl and use a brush to paint eyes and nose with acrylic paint.
At the request of the main winter wizard, you can decorate with a bag of gifts. It is also made from a soap base that is poured into an appropriate mold. Attach the bag (already frozen) to the figure with a few drops of water. Fluids are added to the attachment site and a "soapy" bag is applied.
We wrap the finished figure in wrapping paper and fix it with a golden ribbon. A great gift made with your own hands is ready!
Note that in a similar way, you can make fragrant Christmas trees, snowflakes and Christmas toys. If you have a desire to create a three-dimensional figure out of soap, for example, a snowman, then you need to purchase a special cut form made of silicone (3D).
In it, “parts of the body” are gradually poured into special grooves, allowed to solidify, and then the figure is glued.
