How to make roses from soap with your own hands?
Roses are a chic decoration for any home. But fresh flowers wither quickly, and so you want to enjoy their beautiful view and alluring aroma for a longer time. Do-it-yourself roses made of soap will be an original option for an apartment. They act not only as decoration, but also give pleasure while taking a bath or shower.
A bit of history
If the product itself called "soap" has a centuries-old history, home soap making is a rather "young" hobby. Just a few years ago, it gained frenzied popularity among needlewomen from all over the world. The secret is simple enough: the very process of making soap is very interesting and involves a creative approach. A woman can independently create the necessary product of any shape and present it to family and friends.
Such a present will not only bring pleasure to your loved ones, but also significantly save personal money.
What are they made of?
To create beautiful handmade soap roses you will need:
- transparent or white soap base;
- glycerol;
- alcohol;
- tray or wide plate;
- a form in the form of circles or a ready-made silicone form;
- dyes (red, pink and green for the petals).
Naturally, soap flowers are not meant to be created in a single copy. In most cases, beautiful compositions are made from artificial roses.
Master class (from foamed soap)
Delicate "soapy" roses, exuding a stunning aroma, will decorate the living room or bedroom, and also act as an original gift. In order for the flowers to turn out graceful and sophisticated, pay attention to the presented method of creating roses.
- We take a transparent base, melt it in the microwave and let it cool.
- Add pink dye and pour the mixture into a rose-shaped silicone mold.
- Once the masses have hardened, spray the surface with a small amount of alcohol using a spray bottle.
- We take the mount from the balloon and attach it to the "rosette" that is in the form.
- Fill the mount with the rest of the soap base. We are waiting for the mass to freeze.
- Next, separate the soap rose from the mold and insert a long plastic stick into the mount.
- By analogy, we make 2 more flowers.
- We wrap the roses with cling film (to avoid drying and cracking).
- We combine roses in a bouquet and wrap with tape.
- We take ready-made thin sheets of fabric / paper and carefully glue them to the "stems" of roses.
- Apply mother-of-pearl powder to the buds (to add shine).
- We wrap the flowers in a beautiful wrapper and fix it with a golden ribbon.
If a bouquet of artificial roses acts only as an unusual accessory that must be placed in a "prominent place", then fragrant soap flowers in a beautiful box are a more universal thing. Such a composition is suitable for the original decoration of the restroom. In addition, rose-shaped soap can be used for its intended purpose.
How to do it?
This creation process is very similar to the previous one. We take a white soap base and melt it in a water bath. Add bright red dye and glycerin (1/10 part) to the mass. Pour the mass onto a flat surface and let cool. Next, take out the red "canvas" and put it on the table. We cut out small circles, we divide several of them with a knife in half.
We take a whole circle and form it in the shape of a dome. Next, we attach the second circle to the "bud", and bend its tips forward. Then we take the halves and attach them to the bud, until we get the shape of a flower.
When the workpieces begin to harden and join poorly, we take a syringe and apply a few drops of water to the joint.
Similarly, create 6 roses. When the flowers are ready, take a transparent box. We spread bright green tinsel on the bottom, and beautiful handmade roses on top. Cover with a lid and tie with a satin ribbon. If the box is out of stock, a small basket can be used. For example, put “greenery” of green colored paper on the bottom, then - 3 “soap” roses.
Next, decorate the flowers with shiny decorative stones or beads. Such bouquets and compositions of handmade roses will certainly amaze everyone with their magnificence.

Everything is more or less clear, but which oil to take? For me machine, butter and vegetable are all butter. What is still needed? And second ... Is the soap base cut into pieces from the store, or something specialized?
