This procedure has many advantages and disadvantages, which should be known long before the hair undergoes these works.

The pluses include a number of factors.

• Long hair in an extremely short time. The most obvious advantage of this procedure lies precisely in this - in order to get a long head of hair, it does not need to be grown for months or even years. In literally three to four hours, the length will change, and the problem of small sizes will disappear.
• Has a much better look than wigs. Indeed, a wig worn on the head looks extremely unnatural and sometimes even ridiculous. Hair extensions (especially if they are not artificial) have a completely natural and sophisticated look.
• With repeated transplants, the hair can be used more than once. Great convenience is also provided by the fact that having chosen high-quality and reliable material, it is able to serve for quite a long time - a year, or even more.
• Almost complete absence of pain and discomfort. Sitting with a real professional, the client will not feel any unpleasant sensations - the procedure is generally painless.

• This process will be an excellent solution if the client has baldness or weak hair.
• A huge number of affordable and fashionable hairstyles. On a head with short hair, it is far from always possible to make beautiful hairstyles, but with a long head of hair, everything is somewhat easier - as a rule, most hairstyles are designed for exactly this hair length.
• Such hair can be safely dyed in different colors or even bleached, which is also a huge plus.
• Ironing and other tools are acceptable.
• You can safely visit baths, saunas, solariums or swimming pools without fear that your hair will fall off or deteriorate.

Despite the huge number of advantages, there are also disadvantages.

• Not all extension methods leave a pleasant sensation behind. When carrying out this procedure, an inexperienced master remains extremely unpleasant and sometimes even painful sensations that do not leave the surface of the head even during sleep.
• In addition to the previous point, an inexperienced master can also burn the hair roots. The consequences of such work will have to be removed for a long time.
• Heavy on the head. For those with a short haircut, a slight severity may occur, because the weight of the new hair takes some getting used to. Such a defect passes rather quickly, but at first it is really unusual and inconvenient.
• The need to give up "ponytails" and other tight hairstyles. This is due to the fact that when collecting the hair upward, the capsules become visible, and this is not entirely beautiful.
• There is a risk that old or even stuck hair will start to fall out.
• In those places where new hair was fixed, creases are often formed.

• In windy weather, capsules or other attachments are carried to the top layer of hair, which creates a not very aesthetic look.
• The need to carry out the correction at least once every two to three months. This factor is mandatory and does not depend on the chosen extension method.
• Quite a high price. Hair extension is not a cheap procedure, and not everyone can afford it.
• Long running time. As mentioned earlier, such work takes at least three or even four hours. Not everyone is able to sit out such a huge amount of time.
• Handling capsules and anchorage points requires extreme care and attention.
• Quite often, new hairs begin to tangle and gather in separate tufts, so you need to comb them as often as possible.
• A noticeable deterioration in the hair. Hair often looks unhealthy and deteriorates after hair extensions.

Examining all the pros and cons before doing hair extensions isn't the only thing to do. In addition to these nuances, you should also pay attention to possible contraindications that can cancel the upcoming session.

There are several points to contraindications.

• Length not less than five centimeters. This point is of great importance, because it will be simply impossible to attach new ones to hair of shorter length. Women with this length should wait a little.
• It is not recommended to attach new curls to old ones that have brittleness, weakening or other damage. After the procedure, such hair will look just awful, which is why it must first be cured with vitamins or vitamin complexes.
• Extension cannot be carried out during pregnancy, as well as at a young age under sixteen years old. The refusal in both cases is due to the fact that in the female body during these periods there is a restructuring and an increase in hormonal levels. These factors can further damage the hair.
• Another very compelling contraindication is absolutely any disease of the head, be it eczema or psoriasis. In the case of fungal diseases, build-up is also impossible.

• You should not carry out building up while taking any antibiotics or hormonal drugs, as well as in the presence of chemotherapy.
• Oddly enough, but you should refuse to attach new hair in the presence of vegetative-vascular dystonia, migraines and too frequent headaches. This is explained by the fact that hair extensions create strong pressure, and this, in turn, increases headaches.
• If you are allergic to anything, it is strongly recommended to test for the presence of allergic reactions to those components that will be used directly during the building process itself.
• If the hair is prone to profuse loss, then this procedure will not be able to help them in any way, on the contrary, it will aggravate the situation.
• If there are abrasions, cuts, scratches and other injuries on the scalp, it is best to postpone the procedure and wait until the wounds are completely healed, otherwise the build-up process will cause a lot of pain.

In general, the client should decide this issue himself, because each may have their own contraindications or other reasons. However, most people still turn a blind eye to the above disadvantages, and get a number of side effects and negative influences.
