How to whiten your nails?
Every woman dreams of beautiful and well-groomed hands. However, with frequent use of varnishes and lack of nail care, the nail plate begins to turn yellow and acquire an ugly shade. First of all, you need to establish the cause of the formation of such a defect, and then choose the most correct way to deal with this problem.
Why do nails turn yellow?
Our body speaks about the state of our health and about diseases, if any. The yellowness of the nails can indicate both cosmetic problems and speak of serious illnesses.
The main causes of discoloration on nails:
- The color change can be influenced by smoking and other addictions. Nicotine has a detrimental effect on the lungs, heart, significantly changes the condition of nails and hair for the worse. If you quit smoking, the skin will gradually begin to restore its elasticity, and the ugly color of the nails will acquire a natural shade.
- With frequent use of classic varnish or extension, the general condition of the nails can significantly deteriorate. The use of low-quality products with acetone in the composition has an extremely negative effect on the human body. Dark shades of classic varnishes can change the color of the nail plate. It's best to use quality products from trusted brands. Do not use dried foods, dilute them. It is important to give your hands a rest and not to use decorative means at this time.
- With a fungus on the nails, not only the shade of the nails is subject to change, but also their structure. The nail becomes thicker, rougher and flakes off the skin. The process is accompanied by a bad fragrance and tarnishing of the nails.
- The use of chemicals and various fertilizers can change the color of the nails. Many women are in the habit of washing dishes, floors or working in their summer cottage without special protective equipment. Certain foods in the cooking process also affect discoloration.
- Lack of vitamins, iron or zinc affects the shade of the nails. It is necessary to adjust the diet, add more vitamins and minerals to it. It is important to eat a variety of foods.
- Medicines, antibiotics. In this case, at the end of the course of treatment, the nail plates themselves will acquire a normal shade.
- Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, kidneys and diabetes mellitus can affect the shade of the nail plates.
- Prolonged exposure to the sun and frequent visits to the solarium, abuse of black coffee and tea can cause this effect.
