The modern market offers a huge selection of artificial Christmas trees so that everyone can choose a tree for themselves.
There are several options for the type of construction.
- Cast spruce. This option will be the most expensive, but also the most plausible. Manufacturing technology consists in the fact that the branches are cast entirely from rubber, and then connected into a one-piece structure. Thus, the silicone needles look like real ones, although they do not prick and take their original shape after being bent.
- Ate from PVC film. Models that are manufactured in a similar way occupy a niche in the middle and low price segment. The needles are created from wire or fiber optic and wrapped in foil. Since the manufacturing process is easier than the previous one, there is much more choice on the market. This one differs from the previous type in that it is less durable.
- They ate from the fishing line. This option is the cheapest, because the needles are made from ordinary colored fishing line. It doesn't look very believable, but it is highly durable. In addition, it all depends on the quality of workmanship.
Review of the best models
In order to choose a tree that fits perfectly into your interior and will delight the eye, you need to study the market. Today manufacturers can offer a huge number of models, among which you can definitely find "your" New Year's beauty.
- Spruce color is no longer limited to various shades of green. You can find white, blue, black and many other colors.
- In order to give the tree natural look, snow-covered spruce trees are sold, on which paint has been applied in advance. You can do it yourself at home. All you need is artificial snow in a spray can. They are also decorated with windows and doors.
- Another advantage of artificial fir trees is that they can be completely different in height. The standard height for an apartment is 180 cm, but manufacturers offer Christmas trees from 50 cm to 3 meters. Such tall trees can be used in shopping centers or outdoors.
- For those who love coziness in the interior, the manufacturers offer illuminated Christmas trees. The package already includes an LED strip. If you like minimalism, then the Christmas tree can be left like that.
- By design Christmas trees can be cast, that is, they cannot be folded, and prefabricated, which are disassembled into elements and are easier and more convenient to store.
How to choose?
Choosing a quality artificial Christmas tree for your home is not very difficult. It all depends on your preference. The main criteria by which models differ are color, size and type of assembly.
If it is more or less clear with the first two, then about the last one it is worth saying that they eat:
- completely cast - that is, they cannot be disassembled.
- collapsible in tiers - you have to unfold and fluff each branch.
- collapsible by branches - each branch is detached from the trunk-base.
A self-expanding tree is also presented on the market now. When choosing, you should pay attention to how you will store the tree between the holidays so that it does not take up unnecessary space.
How to assemble and disassemble?
It is not difficult to assemble an artificial tree, it will take up to an hour of your time. Although beginners in this business may have some difficulties.
The collapsible model is assembled in several steps.
- First, you need to fasten the base frame and the support together. The strength and stability of the structure depends on this step.
- Depending on the height of the tree, you may have a different number of parts.... You need to install the trunk and attach branches to it from below in tiers. After securing each tier, it is advisable to straighten the branches so that they look fluffy.
- After finishing work check from all sides, so that the branches are located symmetrically and fill the space between the tiers.
The one-piece model is even easier to assemble than the previous version.
- The first step is the same as the previous instructions. You need to secure the stand with the barrel.
- You just have to attach the branches to the trunk, while straightening them.
- The finished structure must be checked for the symmetry of the arrangement of the branches.
Another option for assembling an artificial tree is by numbers. After you connect the frame to the base, you need to insert the branches into those holes that are marked with the same numbers. For convenience, it is recommended to start from the bottom tier.
When the New Year's celebration ends and the tree needs to be removed, the question arises of how to assemble it correctly and conveniently. In fact, this is not difficult if you act consistently.
After you remove and put away the Christmas toys, you need to disconnect the branches from the trunk. Each branch must be wrapped with cling film, so they will not take up much space. Now it is better to start at the top and store each tier in a separate place. You can simply tie them with a string or put them in a separate box. Then all that remains is to disconnect the barrel into parts and place everything in the box.
If your tree does not unfold, you just need to wrap it tightly with foil, pressing the branches to the trunk... Then you can put it in a box or bag so that no dust gets on the tree.
It is advisable not to use scotch tape, because needles may stick to it or glue may remain on them. It will look ugly anyway. Before putting the tree away for storage, you need to take care of it: wash the contaminated parts, wipe off the dust and straighten tangled needles.
How to store?
There are several ways to pack an artificial tree.
- In the factory box. Often these boxes are intended for this. They are compact and do not take up much space.
- In a bag-case. On the market you can find special bags for storing non-collapsible artificial trees, but collapsible branches can also be stored in these.
- Into the pipe... For non-collapsible trees, they came up with another storage system, this is a plastic pipe with a diameter of about 50-70 cm. It is closed on both sides with lids.
Between winter holidays, you can leave the tree in a dry and warm room, preferably so that the sun's rays do not fall on it. This can lead to fading of the color of the needles.
Suitable places for this are a wardrobe, a closet, a drawer under the bed, a closed balcony or a heated garage.
