Folding origami in the form of characters from the game Among Us
The computer game Among Us by the American company InnerSloth does not leave indifferent any child - children are attracted by colorful little people. I have an idea - to create origami in the form of characters from the game Among Us. It will take very little to collect them, and the process can captivate even adults.
general description
The children's game became popular back in 2018 (immediately after the release), it is played from a computer and a phone - do not rush to worry about the fact that the child spends a lot of time playing. The developers have tried to ensure that the game is of the greatest benefit to children: it develops thinking and teaches to recognize lies. In this game, like chess, you need to learn to think several steps ahead, which is why parents not only support, but even stir up the interest of their children in the game.
Many parents like the idea of creating origami Among Us, so they willingly buy colored paper for their children and prepare the necessary items for work. In order to collect the little men, you need colored paper. From one square we will collect the upper part of the body, and from the other - the lower one. If you want, your little man will disintegrate into 2 parts in the same way as in the game.
Making origami is as easy as shelling pears. There are 12 characters in total in the game - you can do everything at once. It will take more time to create an astronaut from modules.
If a child will do origami, it is better for him to cut the paper and fold the modules in advance. For younger children, simple folding techniques work.
Simple option
To create a simple origami, you can use A4 paper. Origami is easy and fun to do.
If you want to learn how to make origami out of paper, then step-by-step instructions are useful for beginners.Accompanying photos will help you not to make a mistake in creating crafts.
What you need to create a man Among Us:
- 2 sheets - 10 by 10 cm;
- scissors;
- glue.
Step-by-step steps.
- The first step is to make the lower torso. To do this, take a 10x10 cm leaf and fold it in half.
- We fold the bottom side to the horizontal fold. Expand the sheet.
- We bend the top cut to the bottom fold.
- Fold the sheet in half and then unfold it.
- We bend the slices to the vertical line: right and left. Bend the bottom cut up. Fold back the triangles on these folds.
- We move the corners to the side, and then lower them - these will be the legs of our astronaut.
- Move the edges of the triangles up (to create the legs). We fill the paper with small triangles inward. We bend the corners (the legs should become narrower).
- Flip the craft over and you should see the bottom of the Among Us created.
- We take the second sheet and also fold it in half.
- We put the lower part of the man's body on the sheet, and bend the sheet, as shown in the photo.
- Now we remove the lower part of the body, and bend the corners on the sheet (so that the shoulders are not too square).
- Now we open the paper sheet, and draw labels, repeating after the photo. We cut the paper along the lines.
- We fold the paper, as in the photo.
- On the other side, we push the paper inward, where the lines of the triangles are marked.
- Now the most exciting thing - we draw a helmet mirror on a separate sheet and glue it onto the figure (we repeat for the photo).
- Cut out a bone from white paper and glue it into the lower part of the body.
- Put the top on the lower part - the figurine is ready! If you wish, you can make funny hats for the little men.
For reference: these little men can be used as bookmarks for books.
Folding from modules
Modular figurines take longer to assemble without glue, so the child will benefit from the help of an adult. The volumetric character is assembled from 171 ready-made modules - you can choose the color yourself. Regardless of what color you use in your work, you will need 29 modules in white and 142 in color (red or blue). Together with the legs, 25 rows will turn out - they start with the body up. To create origami, you need a diagram - just follow the person in the video.
The creation of Among Us is a fun and uplifting process. The most beautiful thing you can do is join the child. Joint creativity always unites, and if the child sees your interest, it only plays into your hands. Children are pleased with the understanding that adults like what they are doing. This motivates them to continue to be creative.
Prepare the required amount of colored A4 paper, scissors, glue and other necessary items (for example, a hat can be made from a clipping from magazines - there are no rules) and create bright Among Us astronauts. Happy creativity to you!
