Box "Heart" in origami technique

When going to visit someone, there is almost always a need for gift wrapping. Now this is not a problem, since every gift or flower shop will provide this service with great pleasure. But you can do the packaging with your own hands using the origami technique, for example, the "Heart" box.

Professional packaging is fast, high quality, but impersonal, soulless. It is much more pleasant to do it yourself and put a piece of your soul into it. Experienced origamists can make a product of any complexity, but even a beginner can fold a simple box, guided by a special scheme.

Following a simple drawing, you can fold a wonderful origami heart in the form of a box envelope. When closed, it is an envelope, but if the model is not closed, then you get an original box with two half-hearts.

Sequencing:

• the sheet is folded in a triangle and the fold is ironed;
• unfold and repeat the operation, only in the opposite direction, thus obtaining a field with diagonal sectors;
• the sheet is unfolded again, and one of the corners leads to the center;
• the workpiece is turned over, the lower part is folded so that it is equal to the border of the top;
• after that, you need to bend the left side of the workpiece, making sure that the borders are aligned with a large angle;
• the same algorithm is repeated again, only from the other side - as a result, the workpiece already turns into a stylized heart.

The resulting model is turned on the wrong side, the lateral corners are neatly perished, and the upper corners are bent. In this case, it is necessary to act carefully, bending the latter by no more than 1 cm. After that, the product is turned upside down and admire the result.

The next model is made in the style of modular origami and will require a lot of time, but it is quite affordable for beginners. To make it, you need to collect 502 red and 156 yellow modules. For work, you will also need:

• PVA glue;
• 1 sheet of red paper;
• cardboard for the lid and bottom;
• paper flower of a contrasting shade.

Assembly diagram.

1. The main part of the box is assembled according to the scheme shown in the figure. In order to subsequently successfully connect them, on both parts the hearts must be turned relative to each other.
2. Sidewalls are assembled from red and yellow modules, alternating colors according to the drawing-scheme. The modules are inserted with their long ends, at the end of the assembly, the parts are bent and connected. For a more reliable adhesion, glue is used.

The bottom of the box is cut out of cardboard along the drawn contour. Before fixing it on the lower outer surface, you need to prepare the lid - circle the resulting blank on the cardboard with a pencil. After that, glue the bottom, and wait for the final drying.

The lid of the box is made in this way: the second heart is glued to a red sheet, and everything unnecessary is cut off. As a result, a box lid in the form of a red heart is obtained.

Of the 32 red modules, two identical chains are made, given the shape of a half-heart and connected. To make the connection at the bottom, you need an additional module. It is unfolded and the ends are inserted into opposite pockets. Then a second heart is made, following the same algorithm, but already from 18 modules.

Addition algorithm.

1. 4 parts of the bottom are folded. To obtain precise symmetry, the parts are always rotated in the same order. After addition, a triangle is formed inside.
2. Then the very bottom is folded, following the step-by-step photo recommendations.
3. Next, the lid is assembled, the upper part is the same as the lower one. After that, all parts of the lid are folded, as shown in the second paragraph.
