It turns out that Japanese technology here offers a lot of interesting options with different levels of difficulty.

  1. The standard blank is a square sheet. First, you need to bend it along, then across, outline the lines. Then expand.
  2. The bottom edge should be bent up to the midline.
  3. Bend the corners down diagonally - this is how the wheels come out.
  4. Fold the workpiece in half to the horizontal median line.
  5. Bend the bottom edge up.
  6. Fold the upper right corner diagonally towards you. Auto flip to front side.

The machine is ready - you can draw windows on it using pencils or felt-tip pens. You can, at the request of the author, make patterns and inscriptions.

The next work is already voluminous, but also belongs to the category of uncomplicated ones. And if the previous car calmly obeys to preschoolers 5-6 years old, a racing car made of paper is a task for older children.

Racing car - step by step instructions.

  • A4 sheet - any color, can be white, can be colored or printed. We take it. Fold in half lengthwise.
  • The left edge of the sheet must be bent at an angle of 45 degrees, unbent back, and then in the other direction. This is done to form the lines along which the machine will fold further. On the right side, do the same.
  • On the left side, you need to grab the edges of the sheet between the folds, bring these parts to the middle. Do the same on the right side.You will get an arrow-shaped blank, indicating in different directions.
  • The edges of the arrows must be raised and bent towards the center of the side of the workpiece. Lower the edges of the arrows.
  • The parts of the arrow must be bent inward along the median line. The resulting product should be bent in half.
  • The final touches remain - bend the ends of the arrows until you get details that resemble wheel arches. Lift the rear up to create a racing spoiler.

How to make a school bus using origami technique.

  • You will need a 15 x 15 cm paper square with one yellow side, as well as a black marker and colored markers. You need to start from the inside out - bend the bottom edge by one third. Fold the rectangle in half from left to right. To uncover. Pull the corners down. Tuck their vertices to round off the shape.
  • Turn the workpiece over.
  • Fold the left corner (everything is as in the picture).
  • Fold up the top edge. Fold the corner from the previous step upward.
  • Draw the contour details of the vehicle with a black marker: doors, window frames, headlights and wheels. An identification inscription and, perhaps, an icon should appear on the transport. Children and the driver are drawn with colored markers.

The first school bus, by the way, was created on the basis of a truck, so turning this craft into a truck is also easy, especially with the drawing of details.

How to make modular machines?

Working with paper modules is much more difficult: you need more patience, and effort, and time. But the result of the folding of a huge amount of parts is much more spectacular.

Racing

If you want to actually make a copy of a racing car, you have to try.

For such work you will need:

  • 298 black modules;
  • 48 white modules;
  • 297 red modules.

Gradually, row by row (watch the video), the details of the machine will be performed, starting with the spoiler, continuing with the ridge and front end. The car will be very similar to its prototype, but for a beginner, this option is difficult.

Therefore, you can try to make a sports version first. For it, you need to collect black modules (96 pieces), blue (336 pieces), yellow (76 pieces).

Sports car in stages.

  • The first row consists of 8 blue pieces. The second - of 9 blue (put the extreme modules on one corner). The third is out of 10 blue. Fourth - 2 blue, 1 yellow, 5 blue, 1 yellow again, 2 blue.
  • Fifth - 1 blue, 2 yellow, again 4 blue, 2 yellow, 1 blue. Sixth - 2 blue, 1 yellow, 5 blue, 1 yellow, 2 blue. Next, you have to collect 22 rows with an alternating row, which includes 10 blue, and a row of 11 blue elements.
  • The seventh is 10 blue. Eighth - 11 blue. The last row of 11 blue will be collected, and you can go to the 29th row, which includes 2 blue, yellow, 4 blue, yellow, 2 blue. Thirtieth - 9 blue. And the bottom of the car is ready.
  • The first row of the roof is 1 blue, 8 yellow, blue again. The second row of the roof is 9 yellow. Third row - 1 blue, 8 yellow, 1 blue.

On one corner of the 10th row and the corner of the 9th row, you need to put on a blue module, on it - 4 more blue ones, and do the same from the other edge. 1 blue module is inserted into the outer modules in the first row, with the long side turned down. The roof is ready.
  • Now to the wheels. In the first row there are 8 black elements, in the second also in the third, and now everything is connected in a ring. And there will be three such blanks. In order for the wheel to take the desired shape, it is necessary to press on the middle, connect the corners of the modules of the third row. The wheels are fixed with glue. Then they are put on a wooden skewer, in them core discs are made from yellow circles.
  • Now you can start assembling.The roof is inserted into the lower part of the car. The edges extended by 5 elements must be inserted in the 10th row, the opposite ones in the 25th row. The wheels must be attached by delicately gluing the places where the wheels are articulated with the body. The craft is ready.

Oversized

Each module of such fire fighting equipment is 1/16 of A4 sheet. If you make a big car, you can go beyond a week of production. The car will be 70 cm long, 25 cm high, and 22 cm wide. 5 thousand modules need to be made.

It is very difficult (and long) to describe it step by step, but here are the stages by which you can track the progress of work.

  • This is what the front of the car looks like, black parts indicate headlights, white - stripes on special equipment, windows are also made of white modules. The door and side window are also white. If you want to reduce them, you just take fewer modules. Arbitrariness is appropriate here.
  • The wheels are made of white and black modules, they are attached to a barbell skewer. You can use any suitable part, the main thing is solid. It must either be pasted over with black paper or painted.
  • First you need to make the whole base, starting from the cab, and then put it on the wheels. It is better to make the bottom of the car cardboard.

The master covered the car with acrylic varnish - this way it looks more presentable. If you have already worked with modules, you can act without a diagram, just with a reference to the desired type and size - the author of this machine worked that way.

Military

You can also make a cargo one (like a fire department), also from many small modules. But modular origami is often also understood as an unfolding. - this is when the performer already has a sheet with professionally drawn details (can be downloaded from the Internet and printed), and he simply turns flat details into a single structure.

This is not quite a classic origami, but ready-made modules are a good option for those who are not ready to devote a lot of time to folding paper structures.
