Shrovetide using origami technique

These can be both very simple and complex options. In today's article, we will figure out how to properly craft a beautiful Maslenitsa using the Japanese papermaking technique.

There are many schemes according to which origamists can model holiday-themed figurines. If you plan to make a beautiful Maslenitsa with your own hands, you can use the classic scheme. It is ideal for children who do not yet have a lot of experience in making origami figures.

In order for a child to independently model a charming classic Shrovetide, it is necessary to prepare items, the list of which includes:

• sheets of colored paper or paper for a printer - 2 pieces of paper are enough;
• 2 round cotton pads;
• pencil and scissors;
• ruler;
• PVA glue.

If all these components are prepared, you can proceed to modeling a cute paper figure in the form of Shrovetide.

• First you need to take 2 sheets of colored paper. The young master can select the colors of these elements based on his preferences. The selected leaves are folded like an accordion (like a corrugation).

• Now the formed corrugation needs to be tightly connected and folded in half. In this case, the blue corrugated part will act as the upper half of the future product.

• In accordance with the scheme, the corrugated yellow element is used as the lower part of the Shrovetide dress.

• The yellow part must be connected. The corrugation is placed in front of you. A couple of extreme strips will need to be turned off.

• The elements are connected, after which they form a small corner, as shown in the diagram. After these actions, the dress of the future paper Shrovetide will not diverge.

• Next, the blue corrugation will need to be applied to the yellow corrugation.

• Now you need to apply glue to the inner half of the blue corrugation. After that, it can be glued to the yellow blank.

• An elegant Shrovetide dress is done.

• To model the handkerchief, draw a neat circle.

• The template is divided into 2 parts, as shown in the diagram, and then cut out.

• The template of the future scarf will need to be placed on a red paper sheet and circled.

• The contoured workpieces are carefully cut and glued together.

• Now you need to use a cotton pad. From it you will need to cut a hair piece for the future Shrovetide. Threads are glued to this blank, which will play the role of hair.

• The second cotton pad must be used to make the Shrovetide face. Hair is glued to it.

• Next, on the face, you will need to draw a mouth and nose. Cheeks can be decorated with a red felt-tip pen. It is necessary to glue the eyes.

• At the next stage, the made face is connected with a red scarf.

• The glued blanks are glued to the paper dress.

Crafts that are made in accordance with the modular origami technique turn out to be more complex. It takes more free time to model these products. To assemble a figurine in the form Shrovetide, the master will need to pre-prepare a sufficient number of triangular component parts - paper modules... It is from these elements that a single attractive design is formed.

The prepared triangular modules are inserted into each other, forming the individual components of the future figurine. Having made all the parts of Shrovetide from modules of suitable colors, they should be fastened into a single structure. For this you need to use glue. Too much adhesive should not be applied, as this can negatively affect the accuracy and attractiveness of homemade paper.

Many other beautiful figures in the form of Shrovetide can be made from paper of different colors. Let's consider in detail one of the interesting master classes.

First, a young origami master should prepare the necessary components and tools:

• sheets of colored paper;
• scissors with sharp blades (blunt scissors cannot make even cuts);
• eraser;
• pencil;
• ruler;
• glue;
• marker or felt-tip pen in black.

Let us analyze in detail the scheme for making an attractive Shrovetide from the above materials.

• You can choose any color of the paper. For example, it could be a double-sided blue sheet. It is necessary to measure 20x8 cm on it. The marked rectangle is cut out.

• Now the cut out rectangular element begins to bend, forming an accordion, as in the first master class.

• The formed figure is folded by two, smeared with glue. Thus, it will be possible to make a volumetric triangle.

• Now we need to form the sleeves for Shrovetide. To do this, you need to take a white sheet. A piece of 15x8 cm is measured on it.According to the selected marks, the outline of a rectangular part is obtained. It must be carefully cut.

• An accordion is formed from the workpiece, after which it is bent.

• Next, you need to apply an adhesive composition and glue the sleeves to the top of the blank, which plays the role of a blue dress. At this stage, the body of Shrovetide with a beautiful outfit will be completely ready. Then you need to move on to modeling the head.

• The head of Shrovetide should be dressed in a beautiful handkerchief. It must be made of paper. It is recommended to use a color similar to the dress.All details must be carefully cut, including the decorative part of the white color. The latter can be given a spectacular wavy outline.

• Now all the cut out parts must be connected with ordinary office glue.

• Next, a neat circle needs to be cut out of a yellow piece of paper. It should be placed in the middle of the cutout headdress. After that, you need to add a small part of the reddish hair to the paper craft. Using a black marker or felt-tip pen, you need to finish painting the small features of the Maslenitsa face.

• After that, the master will have to glue the finished and decorated head of the paper heroine to the upper part of her voluminous body. It is also necessary to add hands, neatly cut out of yellow paper.
