Origami in the form of a space rocket for children
The origami technique is very popular among not only adults but also children. Young craftsmen can model very beautiful and original designs that look very impressive. For example, it could be a cool spacecraft. In today's article, we will learn how to correctly make origami in the form of a space rocket for children.
Diagram of the simplest rocket
Acquaintance with the origami technique should begin with modeling the simplest and easiest crafts that do not have many small details. You can move on to making more complex things a little later, when the young master acquires the necessary skills and abilities. Fortunately, there are so many schemes available for simulating simple figures in the form of a space rocket. They turn out to be absolutely understandable even for the smallest children at the age of 4 years.
A simple paper rocket will be a great start to the origami technique for beginner little craftsmen.
Let's take a look at detailed step-by-step instructions for creating such an easy but very attractive craft. To make a simple craft, you do not need to prepare many components and tools. It is enough to take a square sheet of paper with an approximate size of 20x20 cm. At the first stage, you will need to carefully fold the sheet of paper in half. This should be done along a diagonal line, as well as across, but already on the back of the leaf.
After that, the little master will need to form the basic shape of the paper blank. It is a "double triangle" shape. Further, the side parts of the top layer will need to be carefully bent downward. This should be done clearly along the line in the center.
Then the paper blank is turned over, after which the previous stage of work is repeated. The side edges of the top layer must be folded towards the center of the paper blank. The same steps should be repeated on the reverse side.
In the next step, you will need to bend the 2 outer layers to the sides. The same must be done on the back of the product. Now it is necessary to unfold the central part of the paper blank so that the finished space rocket is as stable as possible.
Such a flying craft is assembled easily and quickly. It is suitable both for primary school students, for example, for Cosmonautics Day, and for preschoolers. A child can choose absolutely any color of paper for modeling such a space rocket.
How to make a modular rocket?
Paper crafts made in the ultra-popular modular origami technique look very original and impressive. It is much more difficult to assemble such products than the classic homemade options. Modular designs are often large in size and combine many different colors. The assembly of modular origami crafts is carried out from pre-prepared paper modules with a triangular structure.
These elements are fastened together to form a single and holistic composition. To assemble large crafts, it is necessary to prepare a very large number of modules in advance. If a child of 5-6 years old takes up work, it is better to help him in this matter - to do modules with him. To assemble an original modular space rocket with your own hands, you will need to prepare:
- 330 modular components in blue;
- 90 red elements;
- 30 white modules.
Consider the step-by-step instructions for assembling a modular craft from the specified components. First, you will need to fold the base of the future paper rocket. To do this, you need to take 2 red modular components. They are placed ribs to each other. Place the 3rd modular component in the formed inner hole. After that, you will need to string 3 rows of modular elements one by one. Each row should have 18 pieces. The formed figure must be taken with both hands, and then carefully turned out.
On a row made up of red elements, you will need to attach a row of 18 blue modules. You will need to build 6 more similar crowns, consisting of blue modules. The next step is to assemble the porthole using modular white “spare parts”. To make this part of the spacecraft, 14 blue modules and 4 more white components need to be strung onto the previous row of triangular parts.
In the next two rows, you need to fix 13 blue modules and 5 white ones. The snow-white components should be installed over the same color. In rows 10 and 11, both the blue and white modular components need to be fixed. The 12th row must be assembled from 18 blue modular parts. Next, the master needs to start shaping the dome of the future modular space rocket. This part of the structure should consist of a pair of arrows. Each of them should be assembled in accordance with the following scheme: 6 blue modules in the starting row, then 5 more modules, then 4 modular elements, and then 3 and 2 blue components. In the final row, you will need to string a white module. As a result, an arrow should be formed.
In exactly the same way, you will need to model 3 more arrow-shaped structures. The formed arrows should be closed into a single dome. The result is a neat and attractive body for the future rocket. To create the wings of a paper spacecraft, you will need to take a couple of blue modules. One of them needs to be set up with a corner, and the second with an edge. After that, one modular part is inserted into another. The made wings must be fixed on the finished space rocket body.
You will need to neatly attach 18 red modules to the base of the modular homemade design. The result should be a solid foundation for the entire craft. The next step is to assemble the rocket turbines from paper parts. For the manufacture of these components, you will need to take 3 modules. 2 of them need to be inserted into 1.
After that, 3 more modules need to be inserted into the pair of upper modular elements. In subsequent rows, 4 blue modules are attached. In the final crown, you will need to install a pair of blue elements on the sides, as well as 2 white modules in the center. You need to collect only 3 figures. The finished modules should be fixed on the hull of the modular rocket design. After that, the original and very beautiful craft will be ready.
Modeling such voluminous and unusual crafts is very exciting for young craftsmen, but it is better to start it if the child knows the basics of origami technique. At first, it is advisable to "fill your hand" with simpler homemade products, so as not to face unnecessary problems in the future.
Other interesting ideas
A young master can turn to many other schemes for making beautiful origami crafts in the form of a space rocket. There are a variety of ideas suitable for children 4, 5, 6, 7-8 years old. It can be inflatable, flat or crafts with a tube - there are a lot of options.
The scheme for making figurines from Robert Lang is very popular. Typically, Robert develops more sophisticated origami variations suitable for experienced craftsmen. However, there is one option for making a rocket that will be available even to children.
To create such a design, the child will need to prepare only a square piece of paper. Let's take a step-by-step workshop on modeling a rocket figurine from Robert Lang. First, you will need to form a basic "double triangle" structure from the square.
After that, the corners of the upper layer, located on the sides, must be carefully bent to the top of the structure on both sides. Those corners that have been bent must be opened, and then flattened well so that only 2 squares are formed in the lower half of the workpiece.
The master will have to repeat the same steps on the back of the paper blank. The last folds now need to be opened, and then an elongated rhombus should be formed, as is the case with the basic shape called "bird".
The same steps should be duplicated for the rest of the squares. The upper sections of the elongated rhombuses will need to be gently folded downward.
Similar actions are performed on the reverse side of the workpiece. In the next step, the master must carefully turn over the top layer from left to right. The parts of the structure that are located on the sides must be folded towards the middle. Repeat the same steps on the opposite side of the workpiece. Now you need to flip from left to right on both sides of the structure.
Fold the top paper layer of the right triangle to the side. The same should be done with respect to other similar components. The lower center corner will need to be lifted upward. Then the formed fold is well ironed, the element is tucked inward.
Actions must be repeated on the reverse side of the future space rocket. At the next stage, you will need to turn over the parts of the paper blank.
The edge located vertically from the central part will need to be folded towards the horizontal, while straightening the existing folds. Similar actions should be repeated for the rest of the design of the future rocket. The corners protruding downward will need to be carefully tucked into the structure. After that, the existing paper blank must be very carefully straightened from the inside, and then give it the most stable and symmetrical structure.
The original craft is ready. It is not difficult to fold it. The main thing is to act without unnecessary haste and as carefully as possible.
There is another option for making a rocket figurine, which will be understandable and accessible to children. To model it, you need a square piece of paper, scissors and a black felt-tip pen. The procedure will be as follows. First, fold the square in half. In this case, you should outline the transverse fold. Then the square is unfolded. Bend the edges of the workpiece to the marked line. The product is unwrapped again. In this case, the lines should be located vertically. At the top of the square, the corners are bent towards the middle. This will form the top of the paper rocket.
In the next step, you will need to form the sides of the origami craft in the form of a rocket. For these purposes, the edge located on the right side will need to be folded to the left. In this case, you should be guided by the bent line located there. Then the same edge must be bent in the opposite direction. This will make one side of the figure. The second side must be done in the same way.
After that, this part of the product will need to be bent in the opposite direction. The next step is to use scissors. In this case, it is desirable to be present for adults - they must control the actions of a child with sharp blades. A pair of symmetrical cuts are made at the bottom of the paper blank.
On the designated side, folds are formed in the form of triangles. You will get a finished figurine of a space rocket. It remains to supplement it with details drawn with a black felt-tip pen or marker.
