A shirt made using the origami technique will be a wonderful gift for dad or grandfather for the Defender of the Fatherland Day or birthday... In this article, you can find step-by-step instructions on how to make different versions of such a craft: from simple ones, which even a small child can make, to more complex and intricate ones, decorating a postcard for any men's holiday.

How to fold a dress shirt?

For beginners, a simple men's shirt scheme is suitable. It is easy to perform, so it can be used for kindergarten, especially since it is folded using the origami technique, that is, only from paper, and nothing but it will be needed for such a craft. In order to fold such a shirt, you will need a rectangular A4 sheet of paper. Any paper will do, but white paper will work best for the classic craft style.

  • The leaf should be positioned vertically. You need to bend it in half along the long side. It is better not to be zealous, because this fold is only needed to outline the middle of the sheet.
  • The sheet is turned back... It is divided by a fold into two long stripes. Both need to be folded in half so that the edges of the sheet coincide with its middle.
  • Then you should bend a thin strip from above in the opposite direction, that is, so that it is under the sheet.
  • Now you need to bend the corners to the middle so that you get a large pentagon at the bottom, two symmetrical triangles on the sides (future collar) and a triangle at the top, which will become the neck. The corners should touch at one point.
  • Further, the structure is bent in half along the length and unbent again. This is necessary to outline the middle.Holding on to it, you need to bend the corners of the sheet from the middle of the end of the craft opposite from the collar. You should get diagonals from the middle of the structure to quarters from the edge of the entire sheet, forming triangles with its corners. These will be the sleeves of the shirt.
  • Now you need to bend the whole craft so so that the hem with the sleeves goes under the collar. The shirt is ready.

You can draw buttons, pockets, a tie and other decorations on it, and then stick it on a postcard and present it to the hero of the occasion.

Scheme of a shirt with a tie

For older children, you can choose a craft a little more complicated. You can make a beautiful postcard decorated with a shirt and tie as a gift with your own hands. Such a card will be a wonderful congratulation for dad and will show him the attention and love of the child.

It will be possible to present it on February 23 or any other holiday, or it can be given for no reason at all, because such unexpected gifts are the most pleasant.

  • For a shirt with a tie, you will need a long strip of paper, which can be made by cutting an A4 sheet in half along the larger side. Such a strip must be placed vertically and bent in half along it, and then unbent again - outline the middle of the sheet.
  • Then the upper corners need to be bent to the middle so that the top edge of the strip is divided into two equal parts and coincides with the middle.
  • This triangle must be bent downso that the top corner coincides with the middle.
  • Then you need to slightly bend the corner of the triangle up so that it coincides with the middle of the upper side of the structure, and notice its position with folds. The triangle can be folded back. From the folds and its sides, you should get a square.
  • Now you need set aside some distance from the middle of the triangle on both sideswhich will be the width of the tie.
  • For him you need take it and move it to the folded sides of the square. There is no need to be afraid that the figure does not exactly fold - later it will just need to be flattened to form a pentagon.
  • When this is done too, you need to take the sides of the strip and turn them to the middle, and pull the tie out from under them and straighten it from above.
  • Now you should go to the other end of the strip, and bend down a thin strip from it. This will become the shirt collar.
  • Then the entire structure must be turned over, and the corners of the future collar must be grasped. They need to be bent so that they are near the middle of the craft, but do not touch it, and are located symmetrically relative to it.
  • Flip the strip again, and fold the edge with the collar so that the fold passes along the corners of the triangles that form the collar.
  • Now the whole structure needs to be bent in half. so that both the upper and lower side corners coincide, and again straighten, as well as straighten the collar to the state of a bent strip from above.
  • Then you need to add four diagonals: two from the center of the craft to the fold that began the collar, and two from it to its middle.
  • Then you should grab the edges of the strip located in the middle, and spread them to the sides to make a kind of pocket. These will be the sleeves of the shirt. The collar will be directed towards the side with the tie, and its corners can be folded back to form a neckline.
  • The collar must be turned up so that the fold passes along a line from one point of the sleeve farthest from the entire structure to another.
  • Turn the craft with the tie down, and then bend it in half so that the edge with the tie goes under the collar.

The shirt is ready, you can safely glue it on a postcard and give it to your dad.

Master class of other interesting ideas

By experimenting with paper colors, you can achieve a wide variety of results. For example, the following step-by-step instruction is very simple, and it will look best if done with bright colored colored paper. And if you find paper in a protective color, like that of the military, you get a real soldier's shirt.

Shirt with cuffs

  • For such a craft, you will need a square piece of paper. It needs to be folded in half lengthwise and crosswise to mark the folds, and then straighten it again.
  • Both vertical sides must be bent to the longitudinal middle. so that with folds and a fold in the middle, the entire sheet is divided into quarters.
  • Now follows set aside another half from the top half of the sheet, and from this point in the middle, grasping the corners of the sheet, bend them down a little so that you get a collar.
  • In the lower half of the craft, you need to bend the edges of the sheet diagonally from the center of the structure to its corner - these will be sleeves.
  • Next, you need to fold the craft in half, so that the "shoulders" coincide with the bottom of the structure.

In order to secure the shirt in this state, you need to do it on each shoulder along the fold back, under the craft.

Sailor's shirt

The military theme will be appropriate if the postcard is being prepared for the Defender of the Fatherland Day. A shirt will turn into a real sailor's if you draw a pocket with an anchor on it, and decorate it with stripes along the collar.

  • Folding such a shirt is similar to the previous one.... You will need a square sheet of paper, the edges of which will need to be folded towards the middle. Then you need to outline a transverse fold, which will be the middle of this structure, and bend the edges of the sheet along the diagonals from the center to the corners of the craft. These will be the sleeves and collar of the shirt.
  • Now you need to set aside about half from the edge of the sheet from the side of the collar, and bend the craft back, so that the top is under the rest of the structure. The shirt is ready, all that remains is to paint it beautifully.

Shirt with jacket

To make a craft in the form of a shirt with a jacket, you will need dark colored paper. Sequencing.

  • On a square sheet, you need to outline the folds along and across, and then fold back a very thin strip at the top - these will be the cuffs.
  • The edges of the sheet must be bent towards the middle... Set aside a third of the structure from below, and bend the edges from it diagonally to the corners of the craft - this is the future collar of the jacket. Turn the craft over.
  • Bend thin strips on each side. Bend the same strips only in the upper half of the craft - these will be the sleeves. Fold the structure in half with the collar outward. The jacket is ready, it remains to finish drawing the details with a pen - a tie or buttons on a shirt.
