Origami phone

Children love to imitate their parents. The most common action of a modern baby is to imitate a conversation on the phone.

Parents for their children can make a toy phone on their own using the origami technique. It is necessary to prepare in advance a standard A4 sheet, a simple pencil, felt-tip pens, a ruler, and scissors.

There is a very simple way to create origami "Phone". You can attract a baby to work on it. Let's consider the scheme of necessary actions:

• put a sheet of paper in front of you;
• bend the strip towards the center;
• make the same bend on the left;
• after bending the strips on the left and right sides from above and below, make a fold, the size of which is twice the side folds;
• tuck the top and bottom strips onto the back;
• make similar folds on the sides;
• on the inverted other side of the rectangle, fold the top and bottom corners;
• press them firmly so that they do not stick out;
• decorating starts with a camera and speaker image in the upper part of the craft and a button in the lower segment;
• the child himself can draw colored icons on the screen of his choice;
• the toy smartphone is ready.

There is a simple way to make a handset out of paper:

• bend a square sheet in half vertically and unfold it;
• bend the side edges closer to the center;
• fold the corners on all sides towards the central part and unfold them;
• in the core of the workpiece, make a transverse bent line horizontally and straighten the sheet again;
• bend the upper and lower parts closer to the center and unfold;
• open and straighten all the previously bent corners from above and below, fix along the folds;
• flip the resulting triangular-tip shape with the back;
• bend the side parts towards the center;
• turn the craft over again;
• open and flatten the top and bottom sides;
• round the corners;
• the pipe is ready.

Origami "Phone" is easy to fold. Let's take a look at the step-by-step instructions on how to create an origami iPhone:

• Divide the width of an A4 sheet with a ruler and a pencil into 3 equal parts (21: 3 = 7 cm);
• fold the bottom of the long side in half to the nearest marked line;
• fold the upper segment in the same way;
• now tuck both sides even closer to the middle;
• flip your craft over;
• on the right, step back from the edge 2 cm and mark with a pencil;
• turn the workpiece over again, and bend the marked segment to the left towards the center;
• on the left side, perform similar actions;
• on the right side, make another 4 cm fold, but do not fold the side strip;
• open the last fold;
• turn the craft over again and bend the edge in the opposite direction;
• fold the long bent part closer to the center, then bend it in the opposite direction, make a fold by flattening the corners;
• the upper edge of the arcuate fold must be covered;
• cut off the excess layer.

There is another very simple craft option.

• First you need to cut 3 rectangular strips from corrugated cardboard. Their size should be approximately 8x14 cm. You can focus on the parameters of a real iPhone.
• Then you need to round off the corners of the cut out products.
• The next step is to lay the strips on top of each other and glue them together.
• Then you need to stick white electrical tape or plain glossy paper on both sides of the rectangular case. Excess formed at the edges must be carefully cut off.
• The next step is to cover the ends of the cardboard base with black electrical tape.
• You can glue a piece of paper with icons drawn by a child to the front part, or print a finished screen image on a printer. Draw a button at the bottom.
• The final step is covering the screen with transparent tape.

To create origami, use ready-made diagrams. Without them, the craft will not work. It is difficult to cut narrow holes in the side of a paper telephone device with scissors. The appearance can be spoiled by uneven cuts, therefore, in the absence of a clerical knife, it is recommended to use an ordinary razor blade.
