Making origami in the form of a tie

A do-it-yourself gift has always been valued more than a purchased postcard. However, you can do something more original. For example, origami or an appliqué in the form of a tie. If you try very hard, then this origami can be a great addition to the costume.

A similar tie can decorate a gift wrap, a bouquet of flowers or a gift envelope. Such a gift will accurately convey all the feelings of the donor.

To begin with, you need to consider the most common options for creating a tie using the origami method, because, knowing the basics, you can then entrust the work of imagination.

To create such a thing, you will need very few materials - two sheets of paper and a little time. The main thing is to follow the instructions step by step. The standard paper size for a tie is 5x5 cm. It all depends on the size of the craft. The main thing is that the sheet of paper is square, and the aspect ratio is not disturbed.

Let's start with the classic options. Origami in the form of a tie is in no way inferior to textile, if it is made clearly according to the instructions and with love. They can easily decorate a shirt. It is better to choose paper of a neutral color, be sure to double-sided. You will also need scissors.

You need to take standard size paper, A4, for example, and cut out an even square, having previously measured the sides. Next, the sheet is folded diagonally. Then you need to open a sheet of paper and smooth it a little. Now you can fold the folds on both sides straight to the center of the paper. Everything should be symmetrical. So, opposite corners must be connected.

The two prepared sides need to be bent again to half the width of the paper. The triangular corners must be folded inward. The upper part of the pattern corner is closed.At this stage, the craft should look like a long envelope.

Then the tie needs to be turned over, and outline the line of the knot. To do this, you need to fold the corners of the rectangle and straighten it again. The upper part of the origami should be in the form of a knot, for this this part is folded forward with an overlap.

After that, the tie is turned over again, the wrong side should be on top. The sides of the workpiece are folded at an angle to each other. It is necessary to comply with all parameters in order to achieve the maximum resemblance to a real tie.

There is also another option to make a paper tie. By the way, it is considered lighter and more common. The craft is done using the same tools as in the previous case. You can use not only double-sided paper, but also packing paper, or even take old newspapers, this will give originality to the craft.

First, a square sheet of paper is folded in half, two triangles should form. Then you need to unfold the sheet and place it on the surface with its top up. Opposite corners are added from the middle of the line. The resulting figure is bent by one third. The side edges should form a clear line, and the sharp angle should touch it.

The paper turns over again. A curved corner is wound on the front side, after which it folds in half. Then another fold line is made. To do this, you need to step back half a centimeter. After that, the workpiece is placed seamy side up. In the part next to the knot, two so-called pockets are laid, always symmetrically. In this case, the side protrusions must be smoothed.

From the seamy side, you need to fold the sides of the workpiece. These parts are tucked under the newly formed pockets, after which they must be aligned in the center of the craft. The protruding corner hides inward.

Not all creative lovers will be satisfied with just an origami tie. It's another matter if it is supplemented with something. In this case, it is proposed to make a small men's shirt out of paper, and attach a tie to it, made according to the same phased scheme as in the previous case. You can choose any colors - do everything in the same tones, or play on contrasts.

All it takes is just paper. One-sided will do. The color is chosen according to preference. You can also take packing material.

As with a simple tie, the sheet should be square. Therefore, a diagonal fold line should be marked on the blank paper. After that, the paper is straightened, and the upper corner is folded. It should touch the marked diagonal, after which we turn the corner again.

Place the workpiece so that the part with the curved corner is at the top. The square is straightened and folded in the form of an envelope. The sheet is turned 90 degrees so that the three marked lines are on the right side. Two opposite corners are folded towards each other, forming a small pocket.

The fold is straightened and the side edges are smoothed out. This is how a tie is formed. Then you need to return to the bottom, it needs to be bent inside out. Then the shape of the heart is folded in the center of the resulting diagonal. Both sides of the workpiece are bent and wound under the tie. Then the resulting origami is turned over, and the upper corners are folded. It is necessary to fill them inside the craft. The corners need to be rounded so that the shape is as similar to the heart as possible.

Sometimes just making a paper craft is not enough, you want to creatively decorate the product, decorate with accessories. In this case, you can resort to decorating the object. If the gift is made for the Defender of the Fatherland Day holiday, then you can decorate an origami tie with stars. These can be homemade appliques or stickers. But don't just dwell on the stars. There are many more decorative items.

You can decorate with origami buttons. They can be made both in different colors and in the same tone. You can also use confetti. Ordinary PVA glue can be used to attach the decorations. However, the glue gun will hold objects better. A satin ribbon will help to complement the craft. Attach it to your tie in a loop.
