Origami in the form of lips

Many origamists like to collect unusual, funny paper crafts - these can be presented to a friend to cheer him up, or put in a rack - let it stand in a conspicuous place as a decor.

You can collect sponges in a matter of minutes, all you need is time, good mood and paper. Paper sponges are often made on February 14th - a great way to tell your lover about your feelings. You don't even need glue for the craft.

Moving, they are also speaking, sponges are made of red and white A4 sheet. This can be taken from colored paper (make sure it is one-sided, two colors are important). Origami from paper turns out to be juicy - you can "move your lips", by the way, a great way to cheer up a child if he is not in the mood.

Step-by-step instruction.

• Fold the sheet (red side) diagonally.
• A white triangle forms in front of us. We divide it into 3 even parts.
• We bend the side corners inward with an overlap.
• We take the outer corner and fold it in half, and then divide it in half.
• Fold the top corner of the triangle down. Now fold the same element down the line.
• Bend the corner that protrudes down. The same steps must be done on the back of the sheet.
• Expand the craft (it will be crumpled, but that's okay).
• Fold back the upper corner. Bend the craft down along the 2nd horizontal line from the top.
• We see oblique fold lines - bend the edges of the top layer up.
• We do the same with the bottom side.
• Now we fold the craft in half (as in the photo).
• If red corners protrude from the figure, then everything is done correctly. You can go on.
• We open the craft and bend the free corners inward.
• Turn the craft over again and fold the lower part to the fold line. We bend this part in half down.
• After doing the same on the other side, turn the lips over. When you move them, they will open and close.

Sponges can be unkind if you add fangs to them. Original fangs can be made for Halloween or other themed parties. Such a craft will not take you much time, and a detailed diagram will allow you to exactly repeat the lips in the photo.

To create lips with fangs you will need:

• ruler;
• pencil;
• scissors;
• red origami paper.

Algorithm of actions.

• First of all, we cut out an even square of paper and place it face down in front of us. We fold the paper diagonally on one side and then on the other. Expanding. We wrap all the corners with the red side up to the center. Bend all the corners again at the central point, and then unfold the sheet. Fold the upper and lower lines along the horizontal lines to the center and unbend them.

• Now the most crucial moment is the creation of lips... We open the left and right sides and fold the bottom flap up to the center again. We do the same with the top one. We wrap the lower flap to the middle line.

• We fold the right sash in such a way as to meet the upper corner. We lower the bottom valve and press down. Now we carefully fold the left flap and meet the upper corner. We lower the bottom valve down. We iron all the folds well.

• Open the flaps in the center and on the right side and fold from top to bottom to the center point. Raise the right side, open it and lower it down. You should get a rhombus. We do the same with the other side, and then fold the edges towards the center of the diamond.

• To create the canines, insert the fingers into the inner front flaps. Holding the edges, fold them down - fangs will begin to form. On the left side, we insert our fingers into the canine and fold the flaps forward in the form of an upper diamond. We do the same actions on the other side of the craft.

• We wrap the corners on the left side: lower and upper to the middle line. Now on the right. We grab the right flap and pull it forward. We repeat from the other side. We bend the fangs down. We fold the sponges in half and remove the unnecessary elements inside.

The ideas for creating lips listed above are nowhere easier to create if you follow the step-by-step instructions. They can be done in minutes. You can combine colors - for example, to create gothic sponges, use black and white instead of red paper. If desired, the sponges can be beautifully decorated: apply a shiny varnish on them or make a mole on the side. You can go further and, in addition to canines, also make ordinary teeth.
