How to make origami in the form of a steamer?

Currently, there are a large number of interesting ideas for creating origami crafts. Many of them will be great for kids and beginners. Making such decorative items perfectly trains fine motor skills of the hands. Today we'll talk about how to make simple origami steamer crafts.

To begin with, consider the simplest master class for making such a decorative product. You will first need to prepare all the necessary materials:

• white paper;

• a simple pencil (it will be convenient for them to make marks on the material);

• scissors.

The sheet of paper is folded neatly along a diagonal line. The lower corner on the left is folded up a little obliquely and turned back. Along the designated strip, the corner is folded inward to form a felling. Next, you will need to draw a felling, and cut it out with scissors. The origami steamer is ready.

There is another option for creating a simple boat without using scissors. In this case, you will first need to prepare a square paper sheet of any color. In this case, the base must be one-sided (one side is colored, and the reverse side is white).

The two corners of the paper square are connected to each other, forming another even square. In this case, the white part of the material should be in the middle. The paper is carefully opened and the other two corners are joined together to make two cross folds on the square.

After that, it will be necessary to pull the upper corner down, fix it in the central part of the workpiece, and smooth the fold line well. The same corner will need to be directed upward, having previously made a small fold.

Further, a small part of the corner is bent from above. The paper material is folded in half from left to right. You can draw a line with a simple pencil that will define the stern of the future steamer.

Then you need to bend up the lower part along the marked line. This can be done by eye. This step is needed in order to define the fold, due to which it will be easier to make the bottom of the origami boat.

Later, the paper is partially revealed. The lower folded part is redirected with the colored part outward. The steamer is ready. On it, you can separately draw small windows, flags, anchor and other attributes using felt-tip pens or colored pens. This option can also be suitable for children.

Now we will consider how to correctly make a two-pipe steamer using the origami technique with our own hands, step by step.

The sheet is folded along a diagonal line, first on one side and then on the other, to form visible fold lines.

Thereafter, the blank is completely unrolled. The corners are folded towards the central part to form a standard origami "pancake" shape. Then the workpiece is turned over, and all the actions that were done earlier are repeated again. After that, the product is turned over again, and the corners are folded towards the center.

The future steamer is turned over, two opposite corners are turned outward, so that the result is two even identical rectangular parts. You will need to grasp the ends of the opposite corners with your fingers and turn the boat around.

The finished steamer, made in this way, will even be able to keep well on the water. So that it can swim longer, it is better to make it from glossy and thick paper. And also crepe and corrugated paper bases are suitable.

If you wish, you can make several such boats with your own hands at once, forming a whole composition from them. In the process of creating them, you can use paper material of various colors to make the product as interesting and colorful as possible. Most often, bright colors are used (blue, green, yellow, pink, orange). In this case, the boat should also be supplemented with various decorative elements.

When making a variety of origami crafts, there are some important guidelines to keep in mind. For work, it is best to choose a special paper material designed specifically for origami. But plain colored paper, corrugated bases are also suitable, since they keep their shape perfectly.

To make your finished steamer look more original and beautiful, it should be decorated. To do this, you can use various elements (beads, ribbons). Individual details on the ship should be drawn with paints or felt-tip pens.

Often, such homemade products are decorated with various stickers or appliques. They can be glued from several sides at once. A small piece of padding polyester or cotton wool can be placed in the pipes of the steamer.

To "revive" your boat a little, you can separately cut out details in the form of waves from blue or light blue paper. It is better to glue them together with a ring, and place the finished craft there.
