Drawn postcards
The easiest way to create a do-it-yourself card for a wedding anniversary is drawing... To make such a gift, you will need thick watercolor paper, brushes of different sizes and paints, and both ordinary gouache or watercolor and acrylic will do. If desired, instead of paints, you can use colored pencils, pens or felt-tip pens.
Before starting work on a postcard, you must at least sketch a rough image on a draft what you have in mind. Thus, you will have the opportunity to decide on the construction of the composition of the drawing, with the position of the paper, as well as with the colors that you will use when painting it.
There are many options for what can be depicted on a postcard that will be presented as a gift for a wedding anniversary to a parent, grandparent, or husband. You can draw two doves or swans, complementing the image with rings, a couple of lovers, glasses of champagne or, for example, flowers - there are many ideas, it remains only to choose what you like.
Having made a sketchy sketch, transfer it to the thick paper used to create the postcard. Draw in all the small details with a simple pencil, and color in the drawing.
When working with colored pencils, it is recommended to use felt-tip pens and mark with their help the contours of the image - so the greeting card will look brighter and more beautiful.
The postcard is ready! It remains to add a small congratulatory inscription to it, after which you can safely give it.
Postcards like these are suitable for any wedding anniversary: both 10 years and 15, 20 or even 35.
Volumetric options
A beautiful do-it-yourself paper card can be made using the quilling technique... A child can give such a card as a gift to his parents, which will look pretty cute. On the reverse side of such a gift, you will need to leave a small congratulation, adding at the end "from a loving son" or "from a loving daughter."
Let's go back to creating a postcard. It's pretty easy to make. For work, you need thick white paper, cardboard, pre-cut thin strips of the same width and a toothpick, glue, pencil, scissors, beads and ribbons. Instead of regular cardboard, it is best to use scrapbooking cardboard. It is more suitable for creating holiday cards. You can buy it in specialized stores for creativity. There you can also purchase ready-made strips for quilling and a special device for curling paper, in which case you can do without toothpicks and cutting strips.
The workflow is quite simple. To begin with, you need to cut a 20 by 15 cm rectangle out of thick paper and bend it in half. This will give you the bulk of the craft. Next, we cut out a smaller rectangle, 9.5 by 14.5 cm, but already from cardboard for scrapbooking. Glue it in the middle of the body.
Now we do curls... We wind strips of white paper on a toothpick or special tool. This must be done so that you end up with a tightly curled curl that will not fall apart. Apply glue to the edge of the curl and press down. Make 15 curls in this way and form flower petals out of them with your fingers, flattening them in the corners.
The number of petals can be increased if desired.
Now we lay out the flowers on the front side of the base of the postcard and glue it. We use beads as the core of the flowers. Next, we decorate the congratulatory craft at our discretion: you can add drawn hearts, glue additional curls, make beautiful inscriptions, add a satin ribbon bow. The postcard is ready!
Sweet crafts
You can make a more original postcard, which will be accompanied by a small tasty gift - such the postcard is called "chocolate maker". A similar craft is quite suitable as a gift from a daughter or son for a silver, gold or pearl wedding.
For such a gift you will need thick cardboard, glue, scissors, as well as various decorative elements. You can choose the latter at your discretion. Various decorative elements in the form of ribbons or buttons are quite suitable. You can also use colored paper and more.
For the base of the postcard, you need to cut out a rectangle measuring 22 by 7 cm.Separately, we make a blank for the pocket where the sweetness will be located, this part of the postcard should be 8 by 14 cm in size.
You can make several of these pockets so that you can put not only a chocolate present in the card, but also cute notes, tea or a bill.
We make folds in those places of the main part of the postcard, as shown in the image. We do the same with the pockets, after which we fix them in the inside of the postcard.
Now we need to do the decoration. You can decorate a congratulatory craft in different ways: you can draw a cute drawing and glue it to the base, you can make an applique in quilling technique or scrapbooking - all this is done at your discretion.
Sign the postcard and put a chocolate bar in it. Ready!
