The first of September is a reason to rejoice, because the school year consists not only of endless "homework", but also of discoveries, hobbies, companionship and many little things that are remembered with warmth over the years. You can congratulate teachers, classmates, and your own schoolchildren on Knowledge Day.

Simple ideas

If a child will make a postcard, and it is unlikely that he is yet ready for something really elegant and difficult, there are options available even to first graders. Consider postcards that are easy to repeat and can be done in one evening.

Here are 10 DIY postcard ideas for your teacher.

  • Circle each detail according to the template, cut out of cardboard, add the necessary elements with felt-tip pens. The size can be chosen at your discretion, as well as the backpack pocket can be supplemented with any number of school supplies.
  • Artificial leaves in season are sold in the store for one price, printed colored paper - in any store for creativity, a pencil is also not a problem to find. And if an adult sews thick designer cardboard to create edging, you get a fashionable postcard.
  • There are hole punches in the form of different figures: that is, they do not form round holes, but any other. For example, maple leaves. If you can find such a hole punch, children in elementary school will be able to make a similar postcard.
  • The postcard can also be in the form of a key to the knowledge store. This is done simply from cardboard or thick colored paper, as well as glue-pencil. Metallized paper can obviously be used too.
  • Very cute postcards for the Day of Knowledge, associated with the school uniform of the old days. Openwork napkins are very helpful in their manufacture.
  • Imprints and stampings are our everything. True, this task is more difficult, you need to be able to draw. But together with mom or dad, such a master class can even be improved by adding bright details. In general, making prints is an interesting experiment for children.
  • Need thick colored paper with some effect (velvet, holographic or other) to be cut into strips. And then glue it onto thick watercolor paper.

Above, the decor in the form of artificial autumn materials and an inspirational lettering written in calligraphic handwriting will do.

  • Imprints, various small pieces of cardboard, watercolor painted elements - a way to combine all your artistic skills and ideas in one postcard. The first step into big scrapbooking, and even on the eve of September 1st, promises to be successful.
  • Even wallpaper can help in the production of such cards. If they are textured, beautiful, why not. The selected fragment is to be pasted onto thick watercolor paper. Well, on top, there is a laconic inscription and several miniature watercolor elements.
  • Exercise book sheet in an oblique ruler, watercolor leaves (you can print from the Internet) and an accented inscription - that's the card ready. You can also border it with thin strips of red velvet paper.

All the proposed options, of course, are designed for children from 8 to 10 years old, many elements for them can not be made from scratch, but found on the Internet and printed on high-quality paper. The younger guys will build these cards with their parents.

Bulk crafts

However, something closer to a craft can also be called a postcard. But the function of creative work is the same: to please the teacher, classmates, own schoolchildren.

We offer several options for greeting crafts for September 1.

  • These gift bags are a delicate way to congratulate the teacher on the holiday (there may be sweets, chocolate, tea inside). Sometimes these bags are used for a sweet treat for classmates. And, maybe, for the first-graders, the parents will decide in this way to sweeten the first day of school.
  • Topiary pots in the form of maple leaves are not a postcard. But you can insert a note there, an appeal to the teacher. Such a gift will definitely be remembered. The pot can be made from a plastic cup, a thick pencil can be used instead of the barrel, and the leaves can be used from thick cardboard.
  • Another version of the school topiary: the pot will be any, even a plastic cup, because it is surrounded by a fence made of pencils. TORona is formed by artificial maple leaves. Well, the letters symbolize the fruits of knowledge on this tree of doctrine.
  • Postcards with such voluminous elements always look great. Naturally, they need to be made in advance, and then fixed on the surface. And the pencils may well be real.
  • Such elegant rounds on a skewer look good on a ruler, they will look great in a bouquet. The scrapbooking technique is visible, the composition can be built to your taste.

You can also fix real objects from the school office on the basis - a protractor, an eraser, a pencil, paper clips.

  • And here is the bell, for the decoration of which the quilling technique (applications from strips of paper) came in handy. Looks gentle and graceful, just like the teacher. For a younger child, you can choose a simpler pattern.
  • Another briefcase, inside which you can put a chocolate bar or something like that. All suitable materials are used, from wallpaper to foamiran. You need to cut it very thinly, it is possible that you will need a clerical knife.
  • And this is a knapsack made of ordinary cardboard and ordinary colored paper, which can be made in just an hour. The main thing is to take a cardboard that, when bent, will not give ugly breaks.
  • As a congratulatory moment on September 1, you can also use such a wreath, created from leaves folded using the origami technique. It can be hung on the office door - it will be a festive decoration.
  • And instead of one postcard, you can make such a craft, and it will symbolize the whole class - each student is in the form of a flower, and together they are a bouquet. Often, such ideas accompany actions when children refuse flowers, and the money that was going to be spent on bouquets is donated to charity. And then a real bouquet for the teacher will be replaced by such a vase with "flower children".

Some ideas in the process of implementation undergo so many copyright adjustments that in fact they turn into a completely different craft. This often happens with products using the scrapbooking technique.

Unusual scrap paper card

And a few more ideas on how to make postcards from scrap paper. The attractive thing is that the work can change during the manufacturing process. The more blanks the master has, the most different paper, small interesting textured fragments, the brighter the postcard will be.

To make one such postcard you will need: scrap paper as a base, small paper flowers, braid, raffia, autumn-themed stamps, several ink pads of different shades, a ruler, a dummy or stationery knife, a figured hole punch, glue or double-sided tape.

Manufacturing algorithm.

  1. Choose the base - here it is thick dark paper with polka dots.
  2. Next, you need to cut a rectangle out of paper in a colored strip. Its length should be equal to the shorter side of the base of the postcard. In this example, 11.5 cm. And the width is arbitrary.
  3. The rectangle should be aged a little with a breadboard knife, and then toned with ink.
  4. You need to cut off a piece of zigzag tape. Rectangle and braid are glued to the base with double-sided tape. The same can be done with glue, only PVA must be used carefully so that it does not spoil the base.
  5. To design an internal spread, you will need stamps - a school sheet, a knapsack. Or any others on a school theme. It is necessary to leave prints, plus imprints of leaves, so that September leaf fall can be felt inside the postcard.
  6. Flowers can be made from any paper and even fabric, the main thing is to tint their edges with ink pads, as well as veins.
  7. The flower is assembled from three parts, they are glued to each other with double-sided tape. The flower is decorated with raffia (these are palm fibers).
  8. For the inscription, scrap paper is selected with an imitation of a sheet of a school notebook. The text is printed on it, a fragment is cut out. The rectangle with the text is glued to the cover of the postcard. In its corner there will be a previously formed flower, as well as leaves-twigs, the edges of which are also processed with ink pads.

Ready! Scrapbooking is pure creativity, because there is a lot of impromptu in it, many unexpected decisions, which are prompted by the very variety of materials.

Beautiful results of the creative process!
