Before you start creating toys, you need to prepare all the necessary tools and blanks. For the manufacture of original crafts, the following materials are used:

• base (old newspapers, cardboard, plain toilet paper);
• adhesive (wallpaper glue or PVA; paste);
• paint brushes (different sizes);
• gouache or any other paints;
• vegetable oil;
• oilcloth.

For sculpting figures in this technique, different types of paper are used. Each of them has its own characteristics.

1. Toilet paper. Many needlewomen believe that this is the best option for making figurines. This material is soft, so it gets soaked very quickly. You can even grind it by hand.
2. Old newspapers. This material has a denser structure. Therefore, preparing the mixture takes more time and effort. To create a base for the figures, you need to grind the newspapers into small pieces and fill them with hot water. After a few hours, the excess water must be drained. The resulting mixture must be chopped again, but with a blender. An adhesive base must be added to the prepared solution. This will make the mass more elastic and suitable for creating beautiful and durable figurines.
3. Paper egg trays. This material is also good for making crafts using this technique.It is very easy to prepare a sticky mass from such a base. Egg trays are shredded in the same way as newspapers. You can mix the paper base with both PVA glue and homemade paste.
4. Paper clay. This material can be purchased from specialized stores. This is not the most budget option. But it is very easy to create crafts from such clay.

Very often, for making a "dough" from a paper base, needlewomen prefer to use a handmade paste. Using simple recipes, making a sticky mass at home will work the first time.

The ingredients needed to make such a gooey mass can be found in almost every home. This list includes the following components:

• 1 roll of toilet paper;
• 20 grams of PVA glue;
• 20 grams of putty;
• water;
• a small piece of cloth;
• 1 tsp liquid soap.

Cooking option.

1. To begin with, the paper must be shredded, and then folded into a previously prepared container.
2. After that, the contents of the bowl must be filled with hot water. To make the paper soak immediately, you need to use boiling water.
3. When the base is soft, grind the contents of the bowl using a blender and then strain through cheesecloth. If this is not done, the finished products will be covered with small cracks.
4. Next, the mixture must be transferred to a clean and dry container. You also need to add glue and putty there. At this stage, liquid soap is added to the bowl. After that, the finished mass must be thoroughly mixed. It is best to do this with your hands.
5. The finished mixture will be rough. But toys from it will turn out to be strong and durable.

A mixture prepared in this way resembles plasticine or clay in its consistency. Therefore, making figures or toys from it is very simple. To prepare it, you will need the following components:

• 5 rolls of toilet paper and water;
• 1 tbsp. l. wallpaper glue;
• 200 ml of pure water;
• 100 ml of PVA glue.

Cooking option.

1. First of all, you need to grind all the toilet paper and put it in a prepared container.
2. Then its contents must be filled with water so that it completely covers the paper.
3. After a few hours, the mixture must be grinded with a blender or simply kneaded thoroughly with your hands.
4. Next, the contents of the bowl must be thrown into a colander, covered with a thick cloth or gauze, and then left until all the excess liquid is gone. It only takes 5-10 minutes.
5. After that, the wallpaper glue must be diluted in a bowl with a little water.
6. The squeezed paper must be transferred to a large container, filled with wallpaper glue and PVA glue. After that, everything must be mixed until smooth.

This old recipe has been used by needlewomen for many decades in a row. It is time-tested and reliable. To prepare the perfect gummy mass, you need the following ingredients:

• 2 rolls of plain toilet paper;
• water;
• 5 tbsp. l. flour or starch.

Cooking method.

1. First, put the shredded toilet paper into the container of your choice.
2. Then it needs to be filled with hot water so that it completely covers the paper. After that, the contents should stand for several hours.
3. In the meantime, you can prepare the paste. To do this, you need to pour 2 liters of clean water into a prepared saucepan, and then put it on fire. While the water is heated in a cup or glass, you need to mix starch or flour with a little water. When the liquid boils, pour the contents into it in a thin stream. After that, you need to bring everything to a boil, and then remove from heat.
4. When the paper dissolves, beat the mixture in a blender.Excess liquid must be filtered through a dense cloth.
5. After that, the mass must be transferred to a container and mixed with fresh paste. The finished "dough" must be left alone for half an hour.

To make the mixture of paper and glue soft and elastic, you need to adhere to the advice of professionals during its preparation.

1. It is best to use soft toilet paper to create the figurines. Its color does not matter, since at the end of the work they are still covered with a layer of paint.
2. It is best to fill the paper with boiled or hot water. After all, this way she will be able to soften much faster.

4. Gloves can be used when mixing the solution.
5. If after work there is a little mixture left, it must be placed in the refrigerator. There it can be stored for about two weeks.
