How to weave a tea house from newspaper tubes?
Needlework in the lives of many people is far from the last place. Weaving from newspaper tubes has become a relatively new direction in this matter. For beginners, you can weave a tea house that will become a worthy decoration for almost any room.
What is required?
To facilitate the weaving process and make the lesson as comfortable as possible, it is recommended to pre-prepare all the necessary tools and materials. So, to make a house you will need:
- newspaper tubes;
- good quality glue;
- paints of various colors;
- pencil;
- scissors;
- a small piece of wallpaper;
- wire;
- acrylic varnish for securing the structure (can be purchased at a hardware store).
Also, you will additionally need not too hard cardboard and decorative elements (here it all depends on the ability to buy something and on the imagination of the person himself).
Weaving technique
There are several ways to weave a teahouse. In terms of complexity, they are about the same, but differ from each other in many nuances. To visually imagine how you can make a house with your own hands, you need to study each method separately.
Making a house should not start from the base, but from the roof. To do this, you need to take a sheet of cardboard and draw a triangle on it, then cut it out with scissors and glue it so that you get a cone-shaped figure. To make it stronger, it is better to paste over it with wallpaper. It is easy to guess from the shape that it will be a roof.
For the convenience of further use, it is recommended to make a loop on the top of the roof. To do this, you will need to insert a wire into one of the newspaper tubes.Next, this tube must be bent and glued to the top of the roof with glue. Thanks to the inserted wire, it can be shaped to any desired shape. Now the entire roof needs to be pasted over with newspaper tubes.
After the roof is ready, you can put it down a little. At this time, you can come to grips with making the foundation of the future house. In the same way, you need to cut and glue a cylinder from cardboard. At this stage, you need to cut out a window in the house. Here, too, you need to show imagination and think about its form. It can be anything: round, square, oval, or even triangular.
It is also better to paste over the base of the house with wallpaper. When the glue dries a little, you can start finishing with pipes. At the same time, it is important not to forget to interweave them with each other. When the base is ready, you need to glue it to the roof.
An important point: if the newspaper tubes are not holding very well yet, you can fix them with small clothespins.
The wicker tea house is almost ready. Now you need to paint it in the colors that were planned. You can start decorating only after the paint has completely dried. Anything can be used as decorative elements: flowers, beads, rhinestones, small toy animals (for example, these can be figures from key chains).
If you want to make the roof of the house unusual, you can decorate it by cutting wine corks. To do this, you need to take several plugs and cut them into circles. Next, these circles must be carefully glued with an overlap. As a result, you should get an imitation of a tiled roof.
There is another master class for simple weaving of a house for storing tea bags. If in the previous version the house was round, then here it will have a rectangular shape. Weaving should start from the bottom. In this case, weaving should be carried out from double racks (one of which is shorter than the other). Gradually you need to go up, not forgetting to make a hole through which, in fact, the tea bags will be fed.
As you move up, the weave should be narrowed. The roof should be weaved last. Further, the process is no different from the previous master class. The house needs to be painted and allowed to dry properly. You can use decor, or you can do without it, leaving the classic version.
Making a tea house step by step from newspapers is not difficult. If you can't come up with your own version, then you can see the most successful examples that more experienced needlework masters share on the Internet.
Beautiful examples
Novice craftsmen should pay attention to the classic models of tea houses with a minimum set of decorative elements. A decent option would be a classic round house with a roof and a window. It is very simple to make, while it will perfectly fit into any interior. For manufacturing, you need a minimum set of tools and a sufficient number of newspaper tubes.
A more complex version is presented in the form of a mushroom. Weaving such a house is more difficult, decorative elements will be required. It looks very interesting and attractive.
A very unusual option is a Chinese-style tea house. It is difficult to do, it will take skills and patience. But it will look great in an identical interior.
