How to make a birthday present for your grandfather with your own hands?
If grandfather's birthday is coming, you want to please him with non-routine gifts like men's cosmetics, a sweater and a set of tools - you want to give your grandfather a touching experience. All this can be organized by the grandchildren (under the careful guidance of adults, of course). If, besides the signed postcard, no ideas visit you, do not be discouraged - there are many options!
Ideas for the little ones
If the granddaughter or granddaughter is still so small that they don't even go to the garden (or just went), they will not be able to cope even with the classic postcard signing. But this does not mean that creative crafts are canceled. Even a year old can organize a birthday present for his grandfather with his own hands.
Here are some options for gifts from toddlers.
- Cheerful palms. After all, from the outline of the outlined palms of the baby, you can make a lot of things - cute cockerels, fluffy flowers, mischievous butterflies and cute octopuses. The parent needs to seat the fidget, circle his handle - half the battle is done. And then choose for yourself: you can shade or paint over the future butterfly or octopus, and then, together with the baby, apply patterns on the hero with a cotton swab. You can make an applique - make a lot of small colored circles (confetti) with a hole punch, and they will become elements for patterns.
- Finger paintings. The child really likes to dip their fingers in the paint. Take a look at the samples: funny caterpillars, fluffy cats, beautiful flowers can be made with a finger print. And an adult can paint on the arms, legs and eyes.
And also very much the children like nitrography.
If the parents with aptitude for the visual arts are doing well, then they will take on some of the work.And the kid will get the main thing.
"Painting in a million" in the technique of nitkography is done quite simply.
- You need to take a thread, smear it in paint - more precisely, paint it, for example, in orange.
- The other thread is green with the addition of blue, and so on. All this can be done together with a child who usually likes such arts.
- Next comes the most interesting thing: fold a sheet of watercolor paper in half, between the two halves, weirdly, figuratively lay out two threads.
- Squeeze the sheets. Drum roll - now, between tightly compressed sheets, you need to pull the ends of the threads (pull them out of the paper).
- The imprint of such a gesture is the future picture. She, of course, from the category of abstraction, but the same clever parent can find an image in abstraction, and where you need to paint it on (eyes, butterfly paws, outlines of tree trunks in an autumn forest, and so on).
An unusual, not at all primitive picture is sent into a frame under glass and solemnly presented at the celebration to the birthday man. There is an assumption that contemporary art will become a heirloom. The creative grandfather will be fascinated!
What can a granddaughter do?
Usually grandfather melts from any squiggle written by his granddaughter, and from the most unpretentious postcard addressed to him. But you shouldn't go the easy way - you need to surprise your grandfather. For example, a mini-bouquet, which is made quickly, but looks very modern.
To make a bouquet you need:
- sleeve;
- colored paper of your choice (you can use plain color, you can have different colors);
- scissors;
- glue gun
- circular hole punch (if not, not scary);
- kraft paper for wrapping;
- thin satin little ribbon.
Cut the sleeve in half (we don't need the entire length). Glue one end of it with a circle of colored paper corresponding to the diameter of the sleeve. Then cut circles with a circular hole punch. If you can't find such a tool, just circle something round (the sleeve itself is possible). Then cut these circles with a snail so that they can be twisted into a bud after the cut. You will end up with several buds that glue perfectly to the base of the sleeve with a glue gun.
As a result, you get a half sleeve, on top of which 7-9 rosebuds are glued. It remains to wrap the sleeve with craft paper (for glue), and tie it with a ribbon at the bottom. It turns out a cute little bunch! Grandpa will be moved.
The bouquet may be accompanied by card to grandfather. And it can be done using the popular lettering technique. This art is rightly called the dance of letters. Do not confuse lettering with calligraphy: calligraphy is a perfect evenness of the font, and in lettering, each letter is drawn separately. This is a very interesting activity, and girls who already know how to write (and everyone who is older, of course) can do it.
Options for homemade grandson gifts
Little boys (from 3 to 9 years old) can also give their grandfather homemade bouquets, sign postcards using the lettering technique - these activities are not as gender-based as they seem. But there are other options as well. The gift does not have to be traditional - there are enough alternatives to the postcard. As well as not necessarily a present for a grandfather, it should reflect his interests and activities peculiar to grandfather's age.
If your son gives his grandfather, for example, a cheerful dancing octopus, the birthday boy is unlikely to say that the gift is not themed. Of course, he will appreciate the efforts of his grandson, his creative idea and humor.
Let's consider step by step how to make a dancing octopus for grandfather.
- Take two opaque plastic cups. On one of them, circle your finger along the contour. And so several times (these will be the legs of the hero). Cut the legs along the marked outline without reaching the edge of the cup.
- The second glass just needs to be covered with paint (gouache). The color is at your discretion, it is desirable that this color is liked by the birthday boy. The first glass with legs also needs to be painted (you can do this with a contrasting color).
- When the workpieces are dry, you need to glue the eyes to the one without legs. You can draw and cut them yourself. You can buy eyes in the art supplies section.
- A crucial stage - you need to make a spring. To do this, cut out two thin strips from thick paper (but not cardboard), about a centimeter wide. The strips need to be intertwined with a half-braid. You will get a weave that, if folded like an accordion, springs well.
- Glue the paper spring with a glue gun to the inner bottom of the cups: it should connect their bottoms when the cup-legs are inserted into the cup-body.
- You can continue to decorate the octopus body - patterns, rhinestones, ornament, whatever.
- So, inserting one glass with legs into another, a funny sea inhabitant appears. And if you lightly slap your palm on him, he "squats". And if you clap often, he dances.
Or you can make a whole orchestra of octopuses, and play them as if they were drums, singing a funny song along the way. It's great if the gift is good not only as a result, when it is ready and dressed up, but also in the process of its making.
Classics of the genre - paint a picture for grandpa... If the child has a very modest drawing ability, but insists on this particular gift, you can resort to trick. Buy him a paint-by-number creative set that is age-appropriate. For the child himself, it will be very exciting - and the exit is a gorgeous picture, ready to decorate his grandfather's room.
Ideas for inspiration
There are a lot of gift ideas made by children. Try to deviate from the standard options, when grandfather draws a tank on a postcard on February 23, and flowers at best for his birthday. Children should delight with their interests, spontaneity, willingness to play. And the grandfather is usually happy to join this game.
For example, suppose your toddler invites his grandfather to experience childhood. To do this, build something out of handy items that may resemble an ice cream maker's workplace. The main thing is that there is a flat surface on which you can lay your homemade popsicle and ice cream, and that there is a corresponding inscription.
A bunch of colored balloons is also appropriate next to it - who said that there should not be balloons on grandfather's birthday?
And the kid will “sell” (for smiles, of course) a beautiful, unusual ice cream. To make it, conduct a creative lesson with the child, or better with all the grandchildren at once. Collect wooden ice cream sticks, they will remain an invariable attribute of the treat. And for the ice cream itself, you will need designer cardboard or thick colored paper.
To decorate the base, everything is used: sequins, sequins, rhinestones, felt-tip pens (for drawing patterns), yarn peas and so on. And so you need to decorate each base, and then fix it on a stick. You need to decorate on both sides. It is desirable that there are as many delicacies as there are guests at the party. Then the grandfather, who was presented with such a small ticket to childhood, will be able to treat all the guests with surprises from the grandson.
Another option is a joint photo of grandfather and grandson on canvas. If you have a favorite photograph of a grandfather and grandson (granddaughters, grandchildren), you can transfer it to a canvas in a special workshop. The result will be a real picture that looks very convincing in any interior. Be sure to festively pack it, attach a small postcard, and let the grandson, in a solemn atmosphere, present such a pleasant surprise to his grandfather.
And again, back to lettering - see how great work in this technique looks like. They are beautifully framed and will have a nice and modern decor in any room. Thus you can write wishes, mottos, parting words, and for a birthday - one of the best options. And most importantly, in the process of making such a gift, the child learns to be collected, concentrated, accurate, and acquires a skill.
Start from the interests of the child, from modern capabilities and techniques, but, most importantly, do not spare time and effort to make a gift for a loved one.
