Making gifts with your own hands is always interesting and fun. Such gifts are of particular value in the eyes of the birthday man, and only such a surprise, made by you personally, can bring a lot of joy, happiness and emotions to the person you intend to give.

This article will discuss how to make a present for your dad for his birthday. There are a lot of gift options, you just have to give free rein to your imagination - and you can definitely surprise your loved one.

Making gifts with children is fun. In addition, it will not only bring them joy and interest, but also serve as an educational activity that develops fine motor skills, imagination and artistic taste. Children tend to love doing something new, learning, creating, drawing and glueing. You can do with them what they like best: someone to draw on paper, someone to cut with scissors, and someone who loves to glue small parts and assemble into one whole.

Make sure that your child is not injured or circumcised while working with scissors, and then this activity will already turn into a holiday that will inspire him and, possibly, open up new talents that you did not even know about before.

Origami

Crafts made from ordinary paper, which is in any home, can look very interesting and original. It is not at all necessary to have any special skills for this. It is enough to be smart and use your imagination. Paper crafts are a great alternative to a good gift if you don't have the money for expensive materials to make it.

Quickly and easily you can make postcards, origami, an interesting drawing or applique from fabric on paper. Several master classes have been prepared for you, which are not so difficult to do.

Card

It is extremely easy to make such a gift, especially if the child is small and does not know how to use glue and scissors.

Take an A4 sheet and fold it in half. Draw a beautiful illustration on the front side (you can use a template) and ask the child to decorate this drawing with colored pencils or felt-tip pens (you can also use watercolor or gouache if the child is good at drawing with a brush). Line the right side of the spread so that you get several lines for your wishes. If your kid already knows how to write, great! He will write a congratulation himself.

Origami

Making beautiful origami is easy. Their schemes are publicly available. However, we will analyze the simplest technique.

Paper cat:

  • a sheet of paper must be folded in half;
  • bend the top of the sheet along the dotted line;
  • now fold the bottom edges up.

Origami in the shape of a cat is ready.

Applique on paper

To make a fabric applique, you will need thicker paper, for example, ordinary cardboard. You will also need fabric shreds of various colors.

Draw a pencil sketch on the cardboard. Then let the child, with your help, cut out small pieces of fabric, and, using a glue stick, glue the shreds to the desired place in the drawing.

The simplest designs for applique are fish, kitty, sun, mushroom, chamomile, Christmas tree, car.

Colored paper applique

Just like in the previous gift for your father, you will need cardboard and colored paper. With a pencil, barely noticeably apply the drawing to the cardboard. For each part of the drawing, you and your child should cut out pieces of colored paper, and using glue (it is better to use a glue stick so that the paper does not get wet and does not curl from liquid PVA glue), attach colored pieces to your drawing, thereby giving the picture colors and a certain mood.

Mosaic

The mosaic is made in almost the same way as in the previous version. For mosaics alone, you will need to cut out very small pieces of colored cardboard and glue them so that there is a small empty space between them. This craft looks very beautiful and unusual. However, it takes longer than the previous two.

Preparing delicious gifts

Everyone loves sweet treats. And if your child prepares this for his father's birthday, then he will definitely remain not only full, but also delighted with the talents of his little child.

Making sweets will not be difficult if you do not even have the highest level of culinary skills.

Here are some options for treats to make with your kids.

Bananas in chocolate

Ingredients: bananas, chocolate, coconut flakes, pastry sprinkles.

Preparation:

  • if the bananas are long enough, it is recommended to cut them in half (you can even cut them into three parts);
  • peel bananas;
  • put them on skewers and refrigerate so that the fruits attach well to the skewers;
  • chop the chocolate and put it in a water bath, while not forgetting to stir the chocolate mass;
  • the chocolate should melt completely and turn into a single homogeneous mass;
  • pour the chocolate into a glass, and then dip the bananas on skewers into it;
  • sprinkle with coconut and put the bananas in the refrigerator again until the chocolate has solidified.

Fried ice cream

Components: ice cream, waffles, sunflower oil, coconut, eggs.

Preparation:

  • divide the ice cream into several parts;
  • chop the waffles;
  • chopped waffles must be mixed with coconut;
  • then break the egg and beat well;
  • roll ice cream in waffle crumbs, then dip in an egg and roll in waffle crumbs again, after which you should send it to the freezer;
  • bring the oil to a boil;
  • ice cream portions must be put in butter and scalded until golden brown on both sides.

A similar delicacy can be served with jam, honey, preserves, as well as sweet fruits.

Curd-sour cream delicacy

Components: 4 sweet cheeses, 100 g of sugar, 100 ml of milk, 150 g of sour cream, 15 g of gelatin.

How to cook:

  • gelatin must be poured with milk and left for 30-40 minutes;
  • using a mixer, turn curds, sour cream and sugar into a homogeneous mass, and heat the swollen gelatin to a temperature of about 50-60 degrees;
  • then you should mix the gelatin with the resulting mass;
  • pour it into a container and place in the refrigerator for at least 5 hours.

A similar treat can be garnished with sweet fruits, chocolate or coconut flakes.

How to make a painting?

A good gift from preschoolers, both from a daughter and from a son, can be some interesting drawing made with a pencil or paints. You can also draw a poster or make a beautiful illustration using colored paper. There can be many themes for drawings, posters, paintings.

Here are some ideas on how to make a painting.

  1. Take a thick Whatman A4 paper. Cut out the details of your drawing from colored paper, and using a glue stick, glue the colored paper onto whatman paper. White spaces on whatman paper can be painted over with crayons or watercolors, or you can leave blank.
  2. Application on whatman paper... You will need a piece of fabric to be sewn onto a thick Whatman paper. Draw a drawing on a Whatman paper with a simple, soft pencil. Next, cut out the necessary parts from the fabric scraps. You should not glue these parts with glue, but sew with small stitches 5-6 mm long.
  3. Painting can also be done on wood... To do this, you need a wood stencil. Prepare the template you need in advance. To make a rich painting on wood, you need acrylic or oil paints. However, you should be aware that oil paints dry longer than acrylic paints.

Keep this in mind when choosing paints. In addition, there are also special dyes for painting.

Original homemade souvenirs

There are many ideas for what you can do with your own hands and donate. You should not make plywood crafts with children, since this will not be the safest activity for them, and you yourself may not be able to cope with such materials.

We offer you a choice of the most original surprises that your child will be happy to make himself.

Gifts can be made from any material at hand.

  1. A tree made of beads. To weave a tree from a material such as beads, you will first of all need good wire and the beads themselves, green or some other color, if you decide to do something else instead of petals, but in this case we will consider a sample of classic green leaves.
  2. You can carve a figurine out of wood, but there are also wooden cutting boards. It is permissible to burn various patterns on them using a special tool - a burner.

Weaving wood

  • First, you need to weave the twigs with the leaves. To do this, string 10 pieces of beads in the middle and form a loop by twisting.
  • At both ends, you need to repeat the same action, but you need to step back 1 cm from the twisted loop. This is how a branch with leaves is formed.
  • A tree trunk is built by connecting the bunches to each other. This must be done in order, attaching one element at a time until the whole tree is formed. There should be a trunk between the branches, which will be made of dense wire or a sufficiently strong rod.
  • Prepare a tree stand. Fill the support with plaster mortar.

A bracelet made of floss threads will look original. If you need a narrow bracelet, you can use 6 threads, if you need to weave a wide bracelet, then use 9 threads.

Felt gift

The simplest felt craft is a letter. Make the first letter of the name of the person to whom you are going to give a gift out of it:

  • make a letter template out of paper and cut it out;
  • fold the felt in half and pin the cutout letter stencil to the material;
  • circle the attached stencil with chalk, then break off the letter and cut it along the marked line;
  • then you need to sew the cut parts together, but leaving the hole;
  • through this hole you need to fill the letter with padding polyester;
  • after you have added volume to the letter with a padding polyester, sew up the hole.

Plasticine crafts

Even if plasticine crafts are not very rational as a gift for an adult, but if this presents a small child to his dad for his birthday, then the father will be quite happy with the work of his child.

Plasticine is the safest material that a preschool child can work with. In addition, many children simply adore plasticine modeling. This material develops fine motor skills, imagination, makes the imagination think on the scale of a novice architect.

Plasticine can be used to mold not only a separate figure, but also to make a whole composition on a previously prepared stand.

Of course, surprises made by a child are not always useful in everyday life. However, any parent is pleased to receive a gift made by the hands of a child for a holiday.
