Peculiarities

There is a wide selection of shower stalls in plumbing stores, but we are interested in the pallet. After all, it is with his choice that further modeling begins.

Corner shower trays are designed for especially for small spaces of the bathroom, which is combined with a toilet. The peculiarities of such products are in the full use of the corner space. It is worth noting here the variety of pallet sizes, which will help save space. The materials from which the pallets are made meet any requirement and preference.

Corner pallet are obtuse angle design with drain hole. To avoid stagnant water, the drain hole is made at a slight angle. For safety, a small undulating relief is applied to the surface of the pallet, which also serves as a massager.

Materials (edit)

A large number of materials are currently provided - both artificial and natural. It all depends on preference and functional requirements. The most common materials are as follows.

  • Metal (cast iron). The main advantage of this pallet is its service life. With proper care, it will serve you for decades.

The downside is low heat dissipation and heavy weight, which will complicate installation work.

  • Acrylic - the most common pallet material. Lightweight, cheap material, beautiful appearance. Large color palette. Of the minuses, we can note the limitation of weight (maximum 130 kg).

May break or chip from collision with some heavy objects.

  • Ceramics - a classic that fits into any interior. Its appearance and stability is considered a big plus. Of the minuses - fragility.
  • Fake diamond - durable material, long service life, and most importantly - sound absorption of water. Well tolerates exposure to chemicals.
  • A natural stone - the dream of many eco-style lovers. The cost of such a pallet will be prohibitively high. Most often, natural stone can be found in extravagant design solutions and only in private houses.
  • Glass, like natural stone, is a daring decision... Has a fairly high price. Glass as a material is a little capricious. Many people think that such a pallet is quite slippery, but now its surface is treated with a special coating.
  • Wood is a unique and environmentally friendly material... Suitable for interiors, where many accents are represented by wood. For the manufacture of wooden pallets, a special type of wood is used - larch. It is processed with special steam under pressure.

Dimensions (edit)

For small spaces, special universal pallets of standard size are provided. They are:

  • 70x70 cm;
  • 80x80 cm;
  • 60x60 cm;
  • 90x90 cm;
  • 1000x1000 cm.

Such dimensions are necessary to be able to install the pallet in any part of the bathroom. It is worth paying attention not only to the size of the room, but also to your own dimensions. After all the smaller the size of the pallet, the less usable area in it.

Square pallets can also be attributed to one of the types of corner pallets. Their dimensional grid also varies from 70 to 130 cm in 5 cm increments. Such models are considered standard and are presented on the market in a large assortment.

Nowadays, models of flat pallets with dimensions from 80 to 100 cm, and especially 90x90x15 cm, are popular. This is both compact and practical. If you choose a 70x70 cm model, then only a child and a rather thin person will be provided with a comfortable shower.

The height or depth of the sides is divided into 3 categories:

  • deep - from 25 cm to 45 cm;
  • medium - from 5 cm to 20 cm;
  • flat - up to 5 cm.

Selection Tips

When choosing one or another pallet, bowl and accessories, you should not dwell only on the appearance. It is worth considering issues such as safety in operation, who exactly will use the shower and your financial capabilities.

Consider all the important points, especially where exactly you will install the pallet. Be sure to study the characteristics of a particular material: Is it fragile, slippery, how long has it been in operation and similar nuances.

For a summer residence, you also need to analyze everything, especially the sewerage and drainage system. Indeed, when using a shower, water consumption is several times more than in a bath. That's why the drain must work flawlessly.
