How to make valentines from foamiran?
Not a single day of all lovers is complete without colorful valentines. If the purchased products with the same type of pictures are already bored, then it is worth making a postcard for the holiday yourself, for example, from modern foamiran material.

Recently, foamiran is increasingly being chosen by needlewomen to create crafts, including for Valentine's Day. The advantages of the material include its elasticity, ease of use and original appearance. It should be added that foamiran is easily cut with simple scissors, and a finished heart made of glitter material often does not even require additional decor, as it looks advantageous in itself. A valentine from foamiran can be a regular postcard or it can be decorated in the form of a magnet.
If the craft is designed for a child, then creating a miniature heart-shaped handbag would be an excellent solution.
Tools and materials
To create a valentine from foamiran, in addition to the paper itself of several shades, usually only those office supplies that are already available in the household are required. In this case, we are talking about scissors, a stapler, double-sided tape and a glue gun. If the valentine is planned to be voluminous, it will be necessary to prepare a suitable filler, for example, a thin synthetic winterizer. Rhinestones, ribbons, beads, artificial flowers and multi-colored markers are used to decorate the card-heart.
Execution technique
In order to make a heart-shaped valentine from foamiran with your own hands, it is better to follow the instructions of the master class step by step. As a rule, no templates are required for this, since the shape of the postcard is quite simple.To create a simple craft, in addition to red foamiran, you will need thick cardboard, which, for example, can be taken from an old shoe box. Scissors and a lighter, an iron and a curly stapler, as well as a glue gun with spare rods are useful for processing materials. In addition, the work will require white, red and gold satin ribbons, a marker and half-beads.
Manufacturing begins with the fact that a heart is drawn on the cardboard, and inside it is another one of the same, but smaller. The workpiece is cut with ordinary scissors, or with a cutter in such a way that the heart turns out to be through. Next, a free edge is sealed on a red tape so that the cut does not disintegrate into separate threads. The satin fabric is glued to the cardboard blank and begins to curl around it.
It is better to fix the tape every couple of centimeters with glue so that it does not disintegrate and unwind in the opposite direction.
Having processed the entire valentine in this way, the end of the satin ribbon must be cut, singed and fixed with glue on the back side. The front side of the heart is to be decorated with foamiran die-cut. With the help of a curly stapler, identical flowers are cut out.
In the absence of this tool, you can try to create them yourself, working with a cutter or scissors.
Usually, if the height of the workpiece is 13 centimeters, then it requires about 20 flowers.
To make the foamiran flowers slightly voluminous, each must be leaned against the iron activated at the minimum temperature for a couple of seconds. By clicking on the middle of each flower, it will turn out to raise its petals. After heat treatment of all flowers, it is necessary to glue a mother-of-pearl half-bead in the middle of each. Ready-made buds are glued on the front side of the valentine as tightly as possible to each other. A loop is formed from a white satin ribbon on the back of the heart, and the place of its attachment is formed with a golden stripe.
The finished cardboard heart can also be decorated with foamiran roses. To make the blank look more advantageous, it can be additionally pasted over with saturated scarlet felt. From the foamiran itself, individual petals are cut out, which are then given volume using an iron heated to a temperature of 110-120 degrees. Each petal should be gently leaned against the iron and then gently stretched to create a rounded shape. Optionally, you can also fold the miniature workpiece into an accordion and slightly twist its rounded part.
Individual petals are collected in a rose using a drop-shaped blank made of foam, cotton wool or a lump of foil. All fixing is done using hot glue. The first petal is located just above the base, the second is fixed opposite the first, the third is placed, slightly going over the second.
It is important that the parts fit snugly together.
